Gorgeous plants girly. I love seeing your anthurium. I personally use the go pro to film all of my videos so far. We just invested in a really nice camera but it’s so fancy and I’m overwhelmed by it. It’s also so heavy compared to the GoPro hero 12. I got the creator edition and so far it’s been really easy. I’m not sure I have the best quality lol but all of this is so new to me, I’m just happy to get a video up and edited. All the rest will come with time and practice. There is so much that goes into making content. Your are doing amazing!

Hoya callistophyla grows soooooo slowwwwwww so if you have any tips on that hoya for your hardest hoya to grow video I'd appreciate it 😊

I rotted like So many hoya from using tree fern. If there's anyway, I could stop you, I would tell you to please try only to do one and see how it goes, because it's the only soil I have and I am felt so stupid because i've been doing this for like almost ten years... And I repotted like so many plants, probably fifty. And every single one of them got rot.. There also wasn't that much tree fern in it. It's just not the right soil for the little tiny roots of hoya, and the air can't get into the roots. I would just try one or two plants with it and then check on it in like a month or two.. I lost some really expensive plants. Most of them I could reroute, but that was also terrible too.I had to reroute them all.

Oh, I had a pet mouse that got loose in my home, and it was living well for a while. We put out a large, glass jug and tilted it using a blanket… placed fresh veggies in the bottom of the jug and caught the mouse on day two. The jar has to be big enough so the mouse cannot climb out. It’s humane and you can just let it loose if it’s a wild mouse.

The first plant!❤ I just bought a small one and the set up you have is beautiful. I am inspired. I have yet to repot a Hoya, so I am very excited about this video.

I'd say hoya serpens has been my hardest to grow hoya. It probably needed more humidity than what I had to offer (I kept it in just normal room temperature conditions). Eventually I got bored with it growing a leaf and then dropping it - if you don't grow here, you don't deserve to live here 🥲😎

Get a humane trap and take the little mouse out. But if it is a serious infestation you might want to tent your house. Hoyas are beautiful and I truly enjoy them in other people’s collection. Sizing down your collection is definitely helpful in managing plant burn out. I truly enjoy your videos💖🌸

Would love more Hoya content! I love Hoyas, my wishlist is pretty much 90% Hoyas 😂😂 anthurium are great but I’m struggling with my two anthurium and they grow so big too smh. Hoyas I can get smaller, they’re so wonderful and cute, and I like the ones that can trail so I can keep them on my shelves long term

Yes yes yes to you tackling the garage Hoya and bringing is along! I have experienced plant burn out. I think I did little for my plants and purchased zero plants for approx 6 months. I had zero interest! My family was concerned 😂. Thank god that only lasted 6months😌. The cv Ann and Ricardo are beautiful! I have a Ricardo and it looks different! Yours is definitely more up my alley ! Reminds me sort of the H. Elephant. Take care of yourself! Don’t ever feel an obligation to post. We will be here whenever you do. Btw I can’t stop thinking about the mouse 🐁 😬 oh and I absolutely love all your content but mostly the Hoya since it’s my favorite genus “at the moment” 🫣

Okay so you are a good one!! After seeing that mouse I wouldn't have been able to concentrate on anything else cause I would have been too scared!!🤣🤣Anyway, I think that what you said about not buying more plants because you are struggling to take care of the ones you have is 100% reasonable, especially since you are already having a hard time with burnout. I hope things get easier for you, just do what you can, a little each day or every other day or whatever works for you. Beautiful hoya!!

I did my first two online purchases in March and I was disappointed. One seller sent several extremely in poor health Hoyas and the other seller sent 1 with flatmites and the other had only baby leaves and just wouldn’t grow. But we do learn from this. I’m glad others have good experiences

I have only 64 plants but some time they get too much for me. The next thing I’ve put off is repotting three big plants into smaller pots as most of the plants have died due to overcrowding. I think I have to do them outside on a nice warm, but not hot day.

That Hoya pearl is very pretty I’ve never heard of it.

I would definitely watch a repot or check for root rot plants.

I know the feeling of being stressed by the ones I have. I just don’t want to do anything, even water them. Hence the plants I had to pull out of soil snd check for root rot. I find two. So one is in stratum and one is in water. It’s down to two leaves. I cut off the two damaged ones.

oh yeah, I definitely start buying the crap out of one genus of plants and then have way too many. I tend to do it more with orchids (which is why I have literally 50 Cattleya rex). With Anthurium, I haven't hit that yet, I'm more trying to get different leaf colors and sizes and textures. Because breeding Anthurium is so much easier than orchids, I'd like to experiment with making my own crosses and see what comes out. For example, I have a Blue Velvet Rainbowfish x papi (FS x RL) which has a beautiful dark velvety iridescent leaf but the veining is less than desirable (it needs to be either more prominent or less). I think crossing it with clarinervium or besseae would have good results. I've also got a Silver Peru that I bought as a chonk and now that I see how the mature leaves will look (they are highly glossed, very rigid, medium green elongated hearts with large lobes), I'd like to see if it can cross with a papi or a waroc and see what pops out.

I love love LOVE your anthuriums and how they grow sinister-looking leaves in your care! Not sure I’ve come across a video where you talk about this yet, but would you mind sharing your light specs (brand / wattage / color temp) and how many hours you have them on for?
