A short look at how we make our Everyday Tote Bag with a block printed graphic.
Making our leather bags without sewing is a unique way to create a bag that is made almost entirely out of leather. The leather lace is wet molded and gets tighter and more secure over time. The graphic is carved in house on a linoleum block and printed by hand using a custom mixture of inks. We then sun tan the natural vegetable tanned leather pieces for 2 days before oiling and assembly.

This is maybe the 3rd video of you and our work I have seen. I am really enjoying them. The first was a wallet and I thought my favorite but I can now see that may change with each I watch. 😄

Thanks so much! We're not planning to add vocal narration, but I'm going to start putting descriptions as closed captions so you can turn them on for some info. Just getting the hang of this whole video thing, it's pretty fun but so much to learn!

Thanks! Yes, we cut the lace ourselves. I usually do a 6oz veg tan lace :)

Hi!!! The video was great. Questions tho. Why did you leave the leather outside after you put stamp with paint?
Also what can of pain was it ? Is it made for leather and do you have to apply some sort of sealer so the pain doesn't chip off over time?

What are those molds made from and would you do a vid on how to make molds for printing on leather?
it looks so good.madam,please let me know what did you apply at the edges of the leather to burnish and where do we get that? And what kind of dyes did you apply for printing words on it?
that looked a lot like Gum Tragacanth for the edge burnishing, i could be wrong though.

Great pattern, the one without the writing, was by far the best. Not much into pretentious names on clothes and accessories.

My mother in law is a retired professional. She return to school to learn how to work with leather. She discover she had breast cancer two years ago. And then my father in law pass away suddenly last year. We all ask her to quit and take some time off for her. But she refuse...She said that she will continue and doing everyday some thing she is really passionate, it make her feel alive. She made me three beautiful custom 👜 and one of them is lined with fine italien suède. She is extraordinary.
