Good day Wade! Your little Gobot vehicle reminds me of the “Condor” (Mask Crusaders) toy I had, a scooter that transforms into a helicopter. The blue bird would be a “high-end” Gobot if your analogy is correct. It would look super cool with triple gold front shocks, not sure if they would affect the dynamic geometries though.
My analogy was pretty garbage but I didn’t realize it until the end of the video 😂 that’s what I get for trying to be clever! I was thinking you could maybe remove the two shocks and replace them with a single/mono-shock across the middle like the hotshot or Rocky. Instead I think I’ll leave it as is, I’ve molested enough perfectly good cars 😄
Nice comparison of these buggies, good to see them all in once👌 I have two interesting cars as well, which are similar and also completely different in many details. It's Tamiya Hotshot 2 and The Tiger from Thunder Tiger. Also interesting how two big companies can produce something like this in the same time.....

Awesome segue man! I was obsessed with transformers but also liked Gobots. I really liked both cartoons too! That Growler has one hell of an antenna! It seems pretty rickety over the Optima. I wonder what the price difference was when new. I would think anyone trying to race one would have a lot of problems as getting parts may have been tough and it just looks kind of brittle to me.... maybe I just really don't like the white plastic). That is a pretty slick heat sink though! I hope someone in the comments knows the prices of both of them back when new - I am really curious.
Yeah man I think it prolly wouldn’t last a long time if you ran it much but it’s funny cuz with a couple more metal parts here and there it could be legit - I can send you that antenna tube if you want it??
