Schilleriana is my favorite species. I have six of them. The newer pattern they have with the pink stripe is so pretty, as well as the super bright deep pink ones. It's partially the leaves, they are just such beautiful plants.
I almost killed my only Schilleriana by exposing it to direct sunlight accidentally for a few hours. Now it is limping with one leaf, staying fingers crossed as it has one healthy green tipped root.Thank you so much for the experience sharing.
Hi Nicole. I have Phal. Jiaho’s Pink Girl (Schilleriana x Zumba’s Pixie). She’s in bloom right now. Very slight fragrance the flowers are similar to your Schilleriana, but my leaves are a dark green with dark spotting. Thanks for sharing your cutie. 🤗🥰🦋
That's on my wish list, but I have 6 right now even though I want more I don't have room for them in winter. I keep mine outside during late spring til last summer and sometimes longer. I would love to have some cats too
@Nicole Deanna 2 are store phals, and the other 3 are Bangkok Sunset vandas from Motes. One is coming out of it blooming. It was a beautiful show. Hopefully, the next one will be even better 😁
I just got one, its planted in med/small bark. Where I live its fairly hot and dry. My other phals have some moss in the pots because they dry up so fast should I add some moss to this one or could it rot easily?
@@Saijai143 not this one specifically, but I have one that I posted about 3 months ago thats called relax and repot and I think it'll help as it's a phal ❤️
Would you say this type prefers more moisture than a regular phal? I have near identical growing environment to yours so hoping as long as I don't rot the crown she will be ok 🙏
Great video, Nicole, thanks
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it :)

That's amazing! The 6 must have subtle difference in the flower and fragrance. I agree that the leaves are gorgeous.
Hi. Where did you buy all 6? It’s sold out everywhere I know. Do u live in the US or EU? Thanks. I live in Italy.
@@BK-jp4ys They never answer lol

You explain things so nicely!

Thank you for the video. Very beautiful plant. I have a young schilleriana and it just grew its first spike, so I'm waiting for my first blooming :)

Awesome! 6 is a nice manageable size. If you don't have room, it's better to wait before expanding, otherwise it's easy to get overwhelmed.

Very beautiful Schilleriana. I love her a lot also.
As you have so many orchids, may I know how you water your orchids? Thanks 😊
Thanks so much! I have a video I made last year on the topic ❤️ basically I have a pump sprayer :))
I have one for myself and not doing well… I had one bloomed for sale and it was very fragrant... maybe when it mature, the fragrance get stronger.
I hope it pulls through for you yoshi! It seems sensitive compared to other phals!
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I killed mine too, it had stem rot not crown rot and I still don't know how it happened.
Do you think you'll replace it? Bummer!
It's rare for me to kill phals with crown rot, but this one is particularly sensitive.

Provided it can dry out within a few days and not stay soggy it should be ok 👌
@@NicoleDeanna thank you
Do you have a video of you repotting this one? Ive just received mine and im so in love with it im petrified ill kill it 😂

@@Saijai143 yes, I think so, and exactly, just watch out for crown rot ❤️ just keep the pot in a small size so it doesn't stay soggy ❤️
👍👍☺️
So you are giving instructions to get my plant killed!
