I am going to listen to this video again and see if I can do this. I am 86 and don’t know a lot of the things available today. Listing the parts will be very helpful. I watch your videos any time I see one. I, too, love being outdoors and making things. I once lived in California, retired to Texas in 1978. VERY hot here in the summer. I love water projects. Wish me luck! Thank you for your ideas!❤️
1. Base bowl. 2. Straw or tubing. 3. Riser bowl. (straw goes through) 4. Straw to fit on the pump. 5. Small cup for the top. (straw goes into the bottom) 6. Small pump. (USB type) 7. Chargeable POWER banks, two. Or you can get one and charge at night. 7. Bag to keep power bank dry. Optional fabric for decoration.
I just escaped a tornado outbreak tornado 🌪️ I think we had 6 on the ground at onetime. So I’m excited about this project we’ve done the clothes racks and the candy Easter eggs fountain, no sun the last few days. I only have to roll the clothes racks in to keep them safe. I’m buying the stuff first thing in the morning before cleaning up. You guys are great. Thank you.
You are a godsend! I have been trying to figure out how to make a fountain without sun or an AC outlet. I've tried to find little water pumps that ran on AA batteries. DUH!!!! You are a Genius!!!!! 😘💕
OH, MY GOODNESS !!! I love it & so cheap to make ! The way it glows & lights up @ night is absolutely amazing ! I have a Mexican style crock bowl that I had succulents in that will be beautiful for the base . THANK YOU SO MUCH , ROBBIE! 🥰
Thank you for adding the pump and power link. It went straight into my walmart cart. I have no hummingbirds, but all the birds, squirrels, cats, bees, butterflies visit my little solar water fountain i sent up earlier this month.
I’m in the house today with a cold, so I get to watch my pump, and I can’t believe all the birds that are coming to it even the gross beak birds came and took a bath. I hope to see if I can get that video up tomorrow. Have fun. I think your animals there will love it. Thanks
@@sybillindsey4718 I clicked on every link in the description box and none of them took me to the power bank. I’m talking about the USB charging power bank.
Oh This is fabulous Robbie! During the Spring time we have quite a few cloudy days here and I literally have made around 10 of your solar fountains in my back yard and on them cloudy days they just don't run at all, this solves my problem, Thank you!!!!!!!
This is fantastic! I love the idea of wrapping it with fabric too. I have a lot of those thick material hair wraps that would probably work perfectly for this. Love it!
I’m so glad I waited to make a fountain for our bird friends. This is a game changer. I’ve done my homework. All of the others work when they work and don’t when they don’t. I’m so glad to finally have found something that will work regardless of the weather. The addition of the light makes it even better in my opinion. I’m excited to try this. Thank you for sharing.
Thats beautiful! I am guessing a flying squirrel lol. There is one here that lives in a bird house by my garden and it sometimes watches me while I am in the garden. Its so cute. I diffently need some of those birdbaths since I have a yard full of trees lol. Thank you!
I love it! I will be making a couple because I’ve seen the humming birds early in the morning when my other fountains weren’t running and not bathe. I can’t wait! I guess a little hawk! My niece had a hawk on her fountain the other day.
I love this idea because I don't have electricity near where I want the fountain. Where did your power supply come from. I can't seem to find any like the one in your video. You are the best.
I’m looking for the power bank you used. Having trouble locating it on your site. You always get the best for the least. So I like to at least look for the same or as close as possible. But your ideas are the best prices. Thanks for all your ideas and videos. Get better quickly. But your voice was still great to hear even with your cold.
Just purchased your recommended pump and solar bank . I have three now . Going to make your cement ball this weekend for the fountain. Love your videos ❤
You are full of ideas. I was setting up one near my flowering trees, they love. Good idea, I have 2 power packs that will also charge if in the sun, Used for Christmas lights never had to recharge. this will be perfect. tks. will check out your links
I really enjoy watching you because you're so crafty and it's inexpensive. As I don't have a lot of money to spend on Christmas but I enjoy them you make it easy thank you again so very much❤
I just bought irrigation tubing 1/2 “ now I’m getting 1/4 “ and I made solar pumps for this year thank you for the fine tips and info also I have tulle ordered
Thanks Robbie for this great idea and tutorial! We just moved to NM from IA and I’m trying to attract some new hummingbird friends to our new place! It’s too hot here to put a bubbler in the sun so this is a perfect solution! I modified a little bit with dollar store bits and pieces. I love it! Wish I could share a picture with you!
I am considering just how to adapt my solar bird baths so I can just switch it out for cloudy days. We get so much sun, but this would be great during the short cloudy months we have. Thank you for putting this out.
I ordered two battery packs. I only ordered one pump, but might order more if I really like it. I have some usb pumps, but they don't have the light. This will be great in my shaded area. It will be so much fun to watch the hummingbirds.
Robbie, it's Jennifer from Kentucky. Your Kcup idea was great. I was given a hanging moss ball with 12 holes. I put petunias on the side holes. Filled it with composted soil and placed a 2 liter bottle trimmed with Kcup in middle. I just hung it. Can't wait to see the birds have fun like yours. I bought 2 more pumps. I'm addicted.!
Oh I love it Robbie. great video! I definitely am going to make one of those fountains. Got to go buy me a power bank and of course a pump! Thank you!! 👍👍😊😊❤❤
Another great, affordable diy idea! Had a make it and take it date with all my sisters. We made the valentines heart fountain. Had fun and they turned out great! Keep up the good work, you rock! 😊
I am in the Central Valley of CA. I have had a bird bath near the feeders and have had very few takers for almost a full year. Put it up in May of '23 and it is now 4 '24. But lately, I think there is a little risk taker babe hummer who's been using it. SO cute!! I'm a fan of the USB. I tried solar and moving the panel angle wasn't working for me. Thanks for the idea. The pump I use is Pulaco. It mostly needs clean water. Something to consider: My former pump from ebay made a loud buzzing noise after I left it over night with temps in the 40's. It was temporary-the noise. But I did need to replace it soon after. Now I have the Pulaco.
I love your videos! I bought a couple of cheap power banks at walmart and they both stopped working within a day .I'm not sure why or if they got a little bit of water on them. I put them a little bit away from the fountains.. :( Can you post a link to the power banks you purchase? Thanks!!
This is genius and I thank you for sharing. I want to make one for the front yard and back yard. I didn't know those power packs were so affordable. I'll use a yogurt cup since I don't drink coffee. NOw....I must plan a trip to dollar tree and look for that pump and charger.

@@BeautyBeatdown oh, good luck, but it doesn’t sound like you really need it. It sounds like you know exactly what you’re doing. You know on those USB power banks, I bought eight of them.
