  • What are the rudest countries in Europe? You really can’t describe Europeans in general as rude. That won’t be fair! Nevertheless, they’re not the most polite people on earth. Some lands in Europe are presently the worst countries to visit. Based on travel website Skyscanner.com's ranking, France is the rudest place in the world for visitors. Nearly one-fifth of votes from the poll conducted by this body goes to France as the rudest. However, the country is not the only European on the list of the 10 rudest. In this video, we’ll show you the 12 rudest countries in Europe. We’ll reveal the percentage of votes each of them gathered in the poll in which thousands of users of the website participated, according to the International Business Times.
    12. Cyprus
The communication style in Cyprus is generally direct. Cypriots speak clearly, explicitly, and frankly to make their point. They don’t appreciate criticisms delivered vaguely simply because you want to avoid offence. Meanwhile, speaking directly to the point in Cyprus does not necessarily mean communication is concise. To emphasize a point, Cypriots can take long turns to speak. That may leave you wondering if they’re not about to dominate a conversation. Besides, they’re also known for being loud and fast speakers. If you’re coming from other climes, you may have to politely request that they kindly lower the volume of their voice. Interrupting conversation is another rude behaviour common in Cyprus. Can you see why the country got 1.24 per cent of the total vote, making it the 12th rudest country?
    11. Austria
Stop at Vienna to see how sarcastic and pessimistic the Austrian cultural humour can be. Unfriendly service is commonplace in this country as if such service is rendered to you under compulsion. Being in a bright mood is not part of them. Some tourists were shocked to be given that grim and arrogant attitude, even by the older ones. You may feel unwelcomed under that circumstance. It appears Austrians keep getting more conservative with age because the generation gap isn’t about to be bridged. Older ones can’t tolerate the younger generation. There is also a lot of banter. Everyone complains and people love to debate or argue. Austria got 1.4 per cent of the vote.
    10. Croatia
Most of the first-time visitors to Croatia find the people rude and boorish. However, the more your understanding of the culture, the more tolerable it becomes for you. Certain uncultured conduct you’ll encounter when going grocery shopping in Croatia may no longer be offensive to you. You may get in line at the cash and have a Croatian halfway up your ass while the dude is huffing and puffing in impatience as if he’s a surgeon rushing to perform a life-saving operation. Others with a can of beer in hand may request to pass in front of you and proceed to order a pack of cigarettes. These are common issues in Croatia and that may be one of the reasons it was able to get 1.57 per cent of the total vote to become the 8th rudest country in Europe.
