It would be very easy to find fault with these people's work methods and practices, but rambert this ......those cylinder liners are probably in your Mercedes-Benz...or B.M.W.'s engine , I worked in a car factory , and I was constantly amazed at where in the world , parts came from , ....light bulbs from Canada, ...NO...change that to India, the Indian bulbs were a penny a dozen cheaper than the Canadian bulbs .....the list is endless , your car was built with parts from the cheapest bidder , ...not just minor parts ...engines....gear boxes , your prestige badge means nothing , the parts will last untill your warranty expires ........😊...happy motoring ...

1920's machine shop but good craftsmanship. My two problems: different alloys every pour, and the molten temperature from the first two to the last two sleeves poured was a few hundred degrees of difference, giving the metal slightly different molecular structure. Maybe it doesn't matter with cylinder sleeves.
Plus OSHA would have a brain embolism with the work conditions.

"and the molten temperature from the first two to the last two sleeves poured was a few hundred degrees of difference, giving the metal slightly different molecular structure."
So long as the melt is above the 100% liquidus temperature and has sufficient fluidity, it doesn't matter,

In other videos, I have seen them use a combo of fine dirt, sand, and used motor oil mixed together to make the mold packing material

It’s a horribly made part. They used scrap metal to manufacture a part that requires very high quality steel. I feel sorry for whoever buys and installs this part as it will wear out very quickly requiring another very expensive engine rebuild.
