WOWOWOW! Have you ever heard of Nan Madol? It's my favorite place in the Pacific Islands so far (and top 10 site in the world).
Nan Madol is an ancient city built some 2,000+ years ago out of volcanic rock and sea coral on the Eastern shore of Pohnpei island in the country of Micronesia 🇫🇲 It’s something like Angkor Wat but on the middle of a remote island...
It was a place for royalty gatherings as well as the burial site for the king and queen. I honestly hadn’t heard about it until a week ago when my friend mentioned it to me in Nauru, and I am completely blown away by what I have seen here. My friend and I were we were the ONLY ones around to explore and it is just fascinating.
Have you ever heard of Nan Madol before? Add it to your list!

Love you all Micronesian 🇫🇲 from somalia 🇸🇴 ❤
Nan madol is said to be venice of the Pacific islands 🌴 and is as mysterious as the stonehenge .
More mysterious than Stone Henge and a lot older.
Looks like a prison and how the hell did they carve those long stones
@@TheLuminousOneStonehenge is thousands of years older than Nan Madol
@@lukeporcher6378 only to ignorant Western historians/academics.
Parece mentira que no se hable más de este lugar!!
Tenemos tanto por descubrir....
Nan Madol is like a catacomb, there used to be more tombs there actually. When Germany was occupying the islands they had many artifacts put onto ships to be exhumed in their own countries. You’re not supposed to move the tombs from Nan Madol either, it brings a bad omen. Their ships ended up sinking and never made it to their destination and the general went mad and ended up dying of an unknown illness. Really curious about all the things they put on those boats
Saeudeleur dynasty, in sundanese & javanese tribe (west java indonesia) saedeleur/sadulur/sedulur means brother...
This nan madol structure has resemblance with gunung padang pyramid on west java
Im half pohnpeian and it makes me happy to see the island getting recognition, I haven't had the chance to go yet because I was born in America and never got to meet that side of my family until i was 16 and it was in Kansas City where alot of them are at instead of the island. Preciate you showing love to my people though!
Solid info! I gotta check it out!
Ojalá puedas visitar la isla, sin aún no lo has hecho...
Yo he descubierto hoy este lugar a través de un documental y ya me he puesto a ello !!

2bfc8c9c7419d96d51ae53102e795bb4 it’s your kid or your wife(kid) daughter?
I'm a pohnpeian and raised there and when you ask where did they get the stone at, my mom(pohnpeian) told me that they use magic. We don't know if they did but you have to respect that place cause it's spiritual. My mom also one told me that there's this one scientist take/toke a bone from Nan mandol, the scientist died out of nowhere
Woww!! Impresionante!!
También hay "El jardín de Coral o de Piedras creo que se llama ".
Lo hizo un hombre sólo, levitando rocas enormes con la ayuda de un trípode de madera ,cuerdas, una polea y una caja negra...

Great video as always, Drew. Keep producing quality content!
The place is remote. Those rocks that build that is nowhere near but closer to the mountain. And this is 2,000 years ago when black magic was still roaming the region. And still a bit today.
Always great to watch your videos Drew ,Thankyou
Glad you came to Micronesia.. Love from island of yap.. U really do travel every country in the world
Loved it as always 😍
wow I learn so much about the world from your videos.
I haven't visited a single country in my life yet!
I am Micronesian pohnbei 🇫🇲 and I have all ways wondered what the 8th wonder was about and this makes me happy because there are not many videos about Micronesia because of how unknown the place is!
Drew: * finds some rocks on an island *
Drew: this is one of the coolest travel moments of my entire life
Shiloh Lol No, I just think it’s repetitive and was making a joke out of it
Lol
Can yall not offend my race
"some rocks"?... Like man, maybe is a joke but this stuff is waaaay more impresive/awesome than some rocks on a island
I bet you dont have stones this cool.
Nice video, I discovered your channel recently and I loved it so much I subscribed right after I saw your first video, you are an excellent youtuber and your content is wonderful, greetings form Spain.
oceania is such an underrated continent
I’m really loving this new style of video - less structured and less scripted is so much better in my opinion :-)

This channel deserves more subscribers
yes you made a video about nan madol!!! yes!!!!!
This is truly a hidden gem!
Been there a while ago.Low tide Had to through sea snake invested water to get part way there from Palau. Lived' 3 years on Fanau very small island of Hall island group north of Chuuk lagoon.
The Pacific Islands were connected to a larger land mass
thousands of years ago.
These structures were probably built before the land mass broke apart
and very-well could be remnants of structures that survived
Noah's Flood, like the Sphinx and others.
Like if drew binsky is better than lil pump
Delftaron that is the most stupid question ever told in human history
@@brotherscarranza8674 its funny
Drew is a Traveler, Lil pump is a Rapper, How do they Compare?
Erik Romo exactly
Brothers Carranza finally someone gets me!
Love your video! Subscribed!
Stone block similar to "Gunung Padang" in Java Island Indonesia. and most Pre-Hindu-Buddha Indonesia and Malaysia temple are Pyramid shape temple. just like Marae in Polynesia, Tonga, Samoa and French Polynesia(Tahiti)
NAN MADOL- in tamilnadu one of the oldest city madurai have other name is NAAN MADAL(நான் மாடல்) means square shape. . the square structured building in micronesia called the in the same name. .
@ the local said that place was nearly 2000 years old.But Indians went to fiji during the british. To know the exact relation more studies should be conducted on ancient tamil trades.
Fascinating story I'm from there and I would like to know more of this
We all know that micronesia & polynesia is the same roots with austronesia, Nan madol is build by saeudeleur dynasty, in sundanese tribe & javanese tribe (java island indonesia) saeudeleur/sadeuleur/sedulur means "brother"
In fact this nan madol structure has resemblance with gunung padang megalithic structure that has been found in west java (home of sundanese tribe)
@golden gen i am not good at history brother. I just saw that video and i was wondered they are using the same name which we use in our language. You might be correct but the name nan madol is till wondering me.
I assume you're still nearby. I would love it if you took some time to not only visit every country in the world, but also non-self governing territories, such as Faroer, French Guyana and you shine some light on the situation in Guam and American Samoa and such. You have the platform and you might even be relatively close, being in the Pacific and all
Nice Drew.
Hi... You are really adventurous... Good job...
drew binskay is the my favourite you tube channel

Drew:
Persepolis is the 8th wonder of the world
Also drew:
love you bro
My beautiful home ❤🇫🇲
Cool!
Angor Wat is pretty busy, I went years ago and it was pretty extreme for the amount of people so by saying that this place is basically the same is a little confusing.
Nan Madol same stone structure in Gunung Pada West Java in Indonesia
Hey Drew did you watched the spectacular fireworks in Pulwama?
Amazing
Mantul om. Mantab betul
Amazing structure
This is so crazy
now i WONDER where drew binsky is going, hopefully not to be RUINED for life.
Thats cool
One day I will take my American friends to go visit that place since I am a citizen born and raised on that island came out to the U.S when i was 15 years old

I have been there ten years ago drew
Your videos are very gud ..bt I just wanna suggest u ...plz make long duration videos ....these are very small ...
That's great
That a nice catchphrase at the end. It’s like a goal, just like Luffy’s (from one piece) goal to be the king of the pirates.
Well, I just found the number 1 thing I want to visit
I just came to know about this Island when a 8 ball player played me.I checked his game profile and he was from this country.
wall is like an giant stone where did anyone build that buriel of the king and queen sound of legend
Im from Pohnpei ❤😊
I liked this place
Thank u for visiting my country. It is sad that the world dont even know about the place of the 8th wonder of the world but its ok. We dont need more & more people in our island countries. The more visitors the more it will be disrespected. Anyways thank u so much 🙏🏽

The wonderful place reflected in Call of Duty Warzone Pacific
Drew very beautiful
He could be right about the magic and use of levitation to build these structures. Alot of advanced tech is kept hidden.
Visit the Pragadeeshwara temple in Southern India....
Ayo, that's where my niqqa Knuckles hid the Chaos Emeralds.
You should visit Ajanta & Ellora in India

O very nice

You should visit Australia or New Zeland now
Q: How do you know if a place isn't the eighth wonder of the world?
A: If it claims to be the eighth wonder of the world
Ay we dont claim the 8th wonder. Other foreigners try to
We don’t bother to be part of those wonders. It’s better to stay the way it is.
No Pohnpeians are saying Nan Madol is the 8th wonder. It’s the people that are interested in the 7 wonders saying that. I don’t think most Pohnpeians know/care about the 7 wonders. I don’t even know/care about the 7 wonders. I only know one and it’s the Great Pyramid of Giza.
Come to Guam
Are you gonna visit Guam ?
