Women react off of their feelings. You're looking at it from a logical perspective. She was not attracted to the previous guy and didn't "feel" the question was appropriate. She's attracted to this guy, so the question doesn't matter. She chose the guy with two kids over the dude who looked better on paper. So technically, she's actually the only making the bad choice, this guy will just have to stay smooth to keep her (the other guy would have to keep proving himself, ask the right questions, etc). Accountability isn’t what you should have seen in the other person, it’s what you should have seen in yourself. How did you contribute to the toxicity and that’s not saying “you should have noticed his red flags or anything of that sort”. Accountability is very simple. What did you do to make things worse or could you have done things to make it better. Maybe you could have cooked more, been more submissive, less clubbing, stopped entertaining other men, stopped wearing revealing clothes(or being promiscuous). These are the things women overlook when it comes to what you could have done differently.

Accountability can be many things like being delusional, over-romanticizing, and poor conflict resolution, among other things.

I don’t think that’s accountability only because you’re not directly admitting to any faults, most people say that to say “ i was used, they were hiding them well, or among other things, that you only ignored the red flags because “ I liked how he looked” or “ he had good sex”… you understand? In modern day unfortunately women more often do not say that in the context of taking accountability, it’s more so the lowest admittance to almost being ignorant on a repetitive basis. It’s like “ I have to admit to some kind of wrong or I’ll come off like the one with the issues”.

This should go for family members, romantic, platonic, and work relationships.
Love-bombing/ false praise will have some people falling for a manipulator because they never were shown love as a child, never heard the words I love you. Or a person who did not receive support or praise as a child.
Those types of people tend to go for words and nice gestures.
It is important to understand yourself enough to determine I your trauma is talking or if that is your intuition.
Many people I've heard say they felt butterflies with a potential spouse, but that is actually anxiety. That is not chemistry.
People in general struggle with self-awareness and accountability, and it is necessary to take things slow so you can actually examine a person's behavior/actions.
If a person lies to themselves, they will lie to you.
Healing is a process, and through that process, people should learn their weaknesses, strengths, toxic behavior, and traits.
If a person is not aware of those things, they should rethink dating until they discover who they are single.
