In case you didn't know, if you go to the guy who can upgrade your weapons and gear you can change the firing type of your weapon. For example, if you have a really good burst rifle that you wish was automatic, just take it to him and change it to be fully automatic.
Also, Mid quest progress and checkpoints. I've been DC'd twice and had ti turn off mid quest once, all 3 times I came back from lobby I lost very little progress. Like none
Man the respec skill....for FREE!? That alone is worth the time to put into the game, almost every other game in this genre, style, cost either resources or actual money it’s ridiculous I love this part of the game

He immediately mentioned how repec was free. Other than wasting some time, I love that it's a free thing instead of having to start a new game, spend in-game currency or real money to Respec
You forgot to mention there will be a little symbol that looks like the windows logo on a piece of gear to the right of the mod if you already have that mod unlocked, so then you can still choose to scrap it for the materials or maybe you wanna sell it for money without having to go into the crafting menu to know if you already have that mod. At 6:40 he talks about a red symbol that will tell you if you already have a gear piece with that mod equipped, im talking about a black logo with 4 dots that's tells you if you have already broken down a gear piece to unlock a mod for further use.
there is an option to reduce it in the settings, look for "cutscene or cinematic smoothing" or something similar and put it on max. at least makes it more bearable
5:25 Tip 7. The game DOES tell you how to cure/minimize the effects of status ailments! It just happens to be tucked away in the pause menu under GUIDE.. In there, it will give you some tips and info on various things for basic subjects.. For example, enemies appear as red circles on the minimap, but Elites and Bosses appear as red skulls instead.. Also, damaging status effects scale with Anomaly Power (even when applied by weapons) and non-damaging status effects scale with Status Power (extends duration).. I don't blame anyone for missing that helpful section as I was several hours in before clicking on it out of curiousity.. I kept shrugging it off assuming it won't have anything particularly useful in it, but I was surprised on how detailed it did get on status effects.. It even listed how much % of your Anomaly Power in damage Bleed, Toxin, and Burn does and over how many seconds (varies by status).. ==EDIT== Adjusted timestamp.
couple more tips: You can preview dismantling results... mark it and hover the mouse over the dismantle button and it'll show what mats and mods will come from this You can change a weapon type (auto, semi, burst, standard, supression, etc.) via the "change variant" at dr zahedi Raising the level of equipment re-rolls the bonus stats values (not what kind, just the value). So don't waste shards raising them if you are going to raise the level, rather do it after
I don't know when this feature was added, but the game has an auto-loot function now. Leave an area but forgot to collect some resources/gear? The game has you covered. It'll automatically pick things up for you at zero cost.
My friend and I recently picked up the game again when we learned it was leaving Gamepass (and promptly bought ourselves a copy of the Worldslayer edition because we got heavily interested in the story) and we loved it. While the story is a little slow at first and it takes a second to pick up, it's quite an interesting story. Some voice acting could use some work, but over all, we loved the game, and we were genuinely surprised there was End Game content, without even having to boot up the Worldslayer edition! It's definitely worth the money I paid for, and I'm definitely looking at multiple hours of play time for the game.
There is an entire guide with all of the information you need in-game. Roll if on fire Melee if frozen Be still if Bleeding Etc, all this information is available in the in-game guide
Rolling while freezing also removes the effect But, while playing with my friend (who played as the Technomancer and had significantly less health than I), the enemies tended to target him, so I didn't have to worry a whole lot, which was weird cause I was the tank and always tried to draw fire from enemies.
Great tips. If your starting to freeze you can roll to get out of it before it actually stops you from moving. I've tested this many times to see cause I did it by mistake.

Don’t underestimate the AI in this game - like Jake said they will flank and rush the shit out of you and it’s just a bad time. Also, the snipers are VERY good at hitting you behind cover
The game is super rough around the edges but they really did a great job where it matters. Powers that compliment each other and can combo nicely a la mass effect is so great. Really fun despite the issues that I hope they iron out over time.
I would definitely agree. You can tell somethings up when the camera changes to a NPC and thier cape or hair is suddenly spazzing out for a second lol. But nothing game breaking. Altho I am having trouble even getting on the servers to play it
The game still has its issues now compared to release, and I have no clue if it's better than release day, but my friend and I didn't have a whole lot of problems (other than teeth clipping through an NPC's lips) and some crashes (which was most likely client side), we had a blast with the game
Number 6: The game actually tells you to not stack mods, cause they don't stack. It's in a loading screen and I think I saw it at another place aswell but I can't remember where that was
Dismantle only blues or purples, and when you mass mark them to dismantle, hover over "dismantle" option at the lower right of the screen. If it shows no mods you can get from the marked items, you really should consider selling them instead. If it shows 1 or 2 mods, you can handpick the ones to dismantle. Most people miss that because they immediately hold "Del" :)
Another tip: You can select the Quick Mark all (based on rarity) or manually select items to dismantle in your inventory and these will show in the shop as well so you don't have to manually click them while you're in the shop before you sell. (Not sure why they didn't bring the quick mark all into the shops...)
This game is super fun I like it how everything transfer from the beta to the main, but the endless of enemies that's coming at you is nuts. Hopefully the weapons get better and stronger, right now every enemy is a bullet sponge.

It does, just got to lvl 30 yesterday WT12 and with the weapons, mods, and armor I’ve got so far it’s insanely easier not to die and put a hurt on all enemies
If playin trickster, stick with the first 3 abilities for a while, as they are easy to use. Especially since you can use the time distortion bubble to slow bullets , even if the enemy is not in the bubble. Which is useful for escaping. Also from what I can tell you get a majority, or all of the invested attribute points back from dismantling gear. So I just dump points in as I get them.
Me too! Mine was an Andromeda vibe (I loved Andromeda). Just the fighting and abilities. Felt like Anthem and Mass Effect had a baby. Edit: oh and Gears.

It only felt kind janky for when I used the cover system, but that was mainly designed for the enemies. Because the healing mechanics revolve around playing extremely aggressive and as the devs say “cover is for cowards”

Not sure if this is a constant in this type of games but, when selecting modes for armor, damage modes do more damage depending on the gear lvl. Cool down modes have flat values. (Also Chest piece)

Yes! Feed the flames is the most op ability on pyro other than volcanic eruption, with mods it's godlike. By a press of a button you can heal all your health I have a bad habit of relying on this because it's just so good, btw what is your pyro ability build

Pyro is underestimated, if you wanna play pyro I suggest volcanic rounds, feed the flames and volcanic eruption. Feed the flames is INSANELY underrated it heals all your health with mods and even without mods it's still great the only down side is it's range

I’ve only got one character right now and I’m at level 18 I think, I’m playing technomancer and if you didn’t know, blighted rounds are a must, I also use scrapnel for interrupting and a quick burst of health regen when I need it but I’m stuck behind cover or getting chased
@Justin Trotzuk and not all countries have the same kind of internet speed. I’m still shocked people in the US can generally download 1080p movies in less than 5 minutes where here it takes an hour to 2 or even more
"Curing bleed is different from other games, you have to stop moving to cure it" As a Monster Hunter fan, I kinda laughed at this. It's the only other game I know that treats bleeding this way. Well, not exactly, as you also need to crouch for a bit and there's the option of eating a Jerky, but the general idea is the same: wounds somehow stop bleeding if you don't move.
I have been playing for days now and have never seen this before. World Tier is just the games difficulty and you can change it whenever you want. You can change it right smack in the middle of a boss fight so it wouldn't make sense if any mission was locked behind a world tier. This also allows novice players the chance to play through the game as well.
The pyro volcanic bullets work amazingly well on LMG. Especially the one with 150 rounds in the mag. If you have the mods that gives you volcanic bullets twice and one that does extra damage to armor, along with any weapon mods on the LMG that adds vulnerability or stacks burns, you will disgustingly melt any captain or boss monster and some with 300 rounds total.

Awesome tips I just played the demo yesterday with pyromancer. All the gears logic lol I felt like you were talking to me. I’m so used to that game and the cover system I see exactly what you mean now. I think if they going to bother putting a cover system in the game though that it should work better. Transitions especially felt clunky. They should have kept the gears method intact in that respect
I recently found that if you are using a gun with a affinity that pairs with your anomally power it regenerates your health. I'm not talking about a leech mod. I'm playing as a pyromancer and using a LMG with a lvl 1 burning bullets mod. After killing an enemy with it it regenes health by a small perecent and stays in effect unless i change weapons then it stops. I found this to be true with a second character as a trickster using a assault machine rifle with a lvl 1 slow bullets mod it only had a armor piercing attribute.
If you have experience playing shooters on console then it's pretty much always a good idea to turn auto aim off. Not only can it pull to center mass like it does in this game but it will pull to one target over another if they are next to each other costing you more time to aim. I get it, mouse and keyboard, blah blah blah but it's nowhere near hard to aim with a controller as some people make it out to be.
If it hasn't already been fixed on xbox, I had issues connecting this morning despite server status being up. Alternated the MAC address in the network settings, and when my Series X restarted, the game worked and has worked since.
Technomancers are op😅 use mines to stop flanking, turret to keep health topped up and minigun to clear the zone. If you have the return ammo while status is active mod, you become a god
You actually can transfer gear from different classes. Just took a Earthquake headpiece out of my storage on my Promancer. I mean I won't use it but apparently you can send gear to lower class characters if you want. Just gotta have the right difficulty setting to equip it.
I know the biggest step is don’t play with randoms at all. If you’re not teaming up with your friends, don’t waste your time with randoms mean half the problems around this game had to do with the peer peer networking, and I think probably still do in some sense.
I have one mission left and I've never one time seen anything about round skills. You think they'd idk maybe tell you that. You know what else you wont see in this game... legendary weapons! Played on hardest world tier the entire game getting greens and blues til the very end of the game. They gave me one for their shitty launch. I sent them a message about that. Who wants to play 40 hours hoping they get a legendary only to never get one. Not one time seen one drop from an enemy or got one from an box. Those 10 boxes everyone promised legendaries I got all blue and green. Has to be a bug. Thats the worst bug. I'd rather my game not work then play the whole game and get your hopes up entirely.
Pretty sure mods that give an ability an extra use before cooldown DO stack, in example if I had multiple different pieces of armor that give temporal slice an extra use before cooldown I would have that many uses of my temporal slice before it starts the cooldown, I tested it in the demo before launch and it did work (not sure if it changed since then cuz I havent had time to get too far in the main game)
I have found no need for scrap, everything you can loot in the game is better than you can buy, and to buy something is crazy overpriced. Thanks for another great video.
some mods do stack, like the +1 use for your first ability. There's an icon on mods that looks like some 3d layered squares on top of each other in red. I *think* if the mod shows you that icon it means it won't stack with the same mod you already have. Not sure exactly, but I do know that I've seen some ability uses go to 3, for example.
About the cover system. Aside from boss and mini boss that seems to always know your position. Smaller insurgents can get confused if you change position while line of sight is broken when they move or get cover. You can get around them and most of the time you can see them do supress fire on your last position. A very small amout of stealth mechanic here. Need more testing.
Dismantle EVERYTHING, if you don't have the mods. Those mods might be useless now, but you'll be able to create a build late game, easier, if you have more mods. Also, world tier DO NOT affect exp you gain for levels. Play through the story in a lower world tier, to level faster, and then level world tier later on, when you have better weapons, better mods, and all your skills/class points.
Number 6 isn't entirely true. As technomancer, there's the scrapnel ability where you can place mines on the field, normally you get 1 mine, but at a point I've maxed out at 4 with individual mods that add 1 more mine each
The Xbox will do keyboard and mouse support. It's just a little oversensitive on the mouse. Also the command prompts don't show the keyboard commands they show Xbox controller commands. So you'll need to do a little bit of guessing with the keyboard mouse controls on what commands are what. It will probably just need an update down the line to fix the issue.
Pyromancer can heal with skill leach all skills will heal you so you go skill leach then the fire wave get the mods to do 3 fire waves then use your Pyro version of twisted rounds ez life gain with lower damage but the life gain makes up for it
Well, a tip for players in the EU would be: don't try to play late in the day, or at night. You probably can't connect to the game ... I hope this will be fixed Or is this just an issue for me and my friend?
I just started the other day, but I noticed in this video some of the weapons had different reticles. I hope this is something that comes as you level or get better weapons, because it's tough trying to aim with that practically invisible little dot.. lol
Dude, with the exception of a couple of the shotguns in this game every day every gun uses an external magazine there are no clips sent as I said there are a couple of shotguns that use internal magazines, but they don’t use a clip to load the internal of a load on one shell of a time manually. Clips were a device that held five or six bullets, depending on the size of the internal magazine on a rice bowl, wife and one garage. I don’t think that had an external magazine. I think you’re loaded it from the top you put a Clare a call around how many ever would fit in that internal magazine in the top of the receiver you push down in the bowl is Bob Dylan wanted to time into the magazine, leaving the last one ready to chamber bad to clip when you hear somebody say I need another clamp that’s what they meant. When you see it on TV. They’re just brought it back all the clips called a magazine and they are and the reason I make this quite as they are two entirely different things.
An implication of the world tier issue is that going up a tier in the middle of a quest will make the enemies stronger, but not reward you for fighting them. Might want to disable the auto "tier up" if you see that you're close to changing half-way through a quest.

Double tapping go to cover let’s you do a fast slide to the cover instead.

Tapping (Dodge) button WHILE sprinting will allow you to instantly hop over the cover. Sprint, get near cover and hit dodge (circle on PS4).

Number 6: The game actually tells you to not stack mods, cause they don't stack. It's in a loading screen and I think I saw it at another place aswell but I can't remember where that was
Dismantle only blues or purples, and when you mass mark them to dismantle, hover over "dismantle" option at the lower right of the screen. If it shows no mods you can get from the marked items, you really should consider selling them instead. If it shows 1 or 2 mods, you can handpick the ones to dismantle. Most people miss that because they immediately hold "Del" :)
Another tip: You can select the Quick Mark all (based on rarity) or manually select items to dismantle in your inventory and these will show in the shop as well so you don't have to manually click them while you're in the shop before you sell. (Not sure why they didn't bring the quick mark all into the shops...)
This game is super fun I like it how everything transfer from the beta to the main, but the endless of enemies that's coming at you is nuts. Hopefully the weapons get better and stronger, right now every enemy is a bullet sponge.
All the gear will get better along with the mods and how many you can use. Head up Outriders, keep on those grinds and best of luck to all. Signing out from Enoch, peace.
It does, just got to lvl 30 yesterday WT12 and with the weapons, mods, and armor I’ve got so far it’s insanely easier not to die and put a hurt on all enemies
If playin trickster, stick with the first 3 abilities for a while, as they are easy to use. Especially since you can use the time distortion bubble to slow bullets , even if the enemy is not in the bubble. Which is useful for escaping.
Also from what I can tell you get a majority, or all of the invested attribute points back from dismantling gear. So I just dump points in as I get them.

It only felt kind janky for when I used the cover system, but that was mainly designed for the enemies. Because the healing mechanics revolve around playing extremely aggressive and as the devs say “cover is for cowards”
If my internet is really bad will it still play okay? I know you need a connection the whole time but isn’t the actual gameplay offline if you’re solo?

Not sure if this is a constant in this type of games but, when selecting modes for armor, damage modes do more damage depending on the gear lvl. Cool down modes have flat values. (Also Chest piece)
1 thing that gameranx doesn’t tell you. The guns in Outriders don’t use clips, they use magazines.

Watching the background footage for the pyromancer, and seeing that they aren't using Feed the Flames hurts me infernally
Yes! Feed the flames is the most op ability on pyro other than volcanic eruption, with mods it's godlike. By a press of a button you can heal all your health I have a bad habit of relying on this because it's just so good, btw what is your pyro ability build
I unlocked all the abilities for Pyro and my favorites are the ability that applies ashes in a radius around you, volcanic rounds and thermal bomb

The technomancer is insane strong
Pyro is underestimated, if you wanna play pyro I suggest volcanic rounds, feed the flames and volcanic eruption. Feed the flames is INSANELY underrated it heals all your health with mods and even without mods it's still great the only down side is it's range

You can change what rarity of items are auto looted in the menu. Pretty nice at the beginning to set it down to common.
I wasn’t sure how I felt about the demo cause I couldn’t find a multiplayer lobby at all and it wasn’t fun solo, but am downloading it through gamepass to give it another shot

I’ve only got one character right now and I’m at level 18 I think, I’m playing technomancer and if you didn’t know, blighted rounds are a must, I also use scrapnel for interrupting and a quick burst of health regen when I need it but I’m stuck behind cover or getting chased

Tip 1. Game will kick you for "internet connection error" mid boss fights.
Then get better internet lmao. Played with a friend for 5 hours and no issues. On a base model One nonetheless

As a Monster Hunter fan, I kinda laughed at this. It's the only other game I know that treats bleeding this way. Well, not exactly, as you also need to crouch for a bit and there's the option of eating a Jerky, but the general idea is the same: wounds somehow stop bleeding if you don't move.

I have been playing for days now and have never seen this before. World Tier is just the games difficulty and you can change it whenever you want. You can change it right smack in the middle of a boss fight so it wouldn't make sense if any mission was locked behind a world tier. This also allows novice players the chance to play through the game as well.

The pyro volcanic bullets work amazingly well on LMG. Especially the one with 150 rounds in the mag. If you have the mods that gives you volcanic bullets twice and one that does extra damage to armor, along with any weapon mods on the LMG that adds vulnerability or stacks burns, you will disgustingly melt any captain or boss monster and some with 300 rounds total.
Been playing all day on Series X. Freaking fun as hell.

Awesome tips I just played the demo yesterday with pyromancer. All the gears logic lol I felt like you were talking to me. I’m so used to that game and the cover system I see exactly what you mean now. I think if they going to bother putting a cover system in the game though that it should work better. Transitions especially felt clunky. They should have kept the gears method intact in that respect
I recently found that if you are using a gun with a affinity that pairs with your anomally power it regenerates your health. I'm not talking about a leech mod. I'm playing as a pyromancer and using a LMG with a lvl 1 burning bullets mod. After killing an enemy with it it regenes health by a small perecent and stays in effect unless i change weapons then it stops. I found this to be true with a second character as a trickster using a assault machine rifle with a lvl 1 slow bullets mod it only had a armor piercing attribute.
If you have experience playing shooters on console then it's pretty much always a good idea to turn auto aim off. Not only can it pull to center mass like it does in this game but it will pull to one target over another if they are next to each other costing you more time to aim. I get it, mouse and keyboard, blah blah blah but it's nowhere near hard to aim with a controller as some people make it out to be.
If it hasn't already been fixed on xbox, I had issues connecting this morning despite server status being up. Alternated the MAC address in the network settings, and when my Series X restarted, the game worked and has worked since.
Technomancers are op😅 use mines to stop flanking, turret to keep health topped up and minigun to clear the zone. If you have the return ammo while status is active mod, you become a god

You actually can transfer gear from different classes. Just took a Earthquake headpiece out of my storage on my Promancer. I mean I won't use it but apparently you can send gear to lower class characters if you want. Just gotta have the right difficulty setting to equip it.
I was up to level 6 before I realized dismantling screws you out of scrap. Hold on to that shit and sell it at a vendor.

I know the biggest step is don’t play with randoms at all. If you’re not teaming up with your friends, don’t waste your time with randoms mean half the problems around this game had to do with the peer peer networking, and I think probably still do in some sense.
Also I found letting the recoil force the aim up to head shots then grab it at that sweet spot n hold it ...😉

I have one mission left and I've never one time seen anything about round skills. You think they'd idk maybe tell you that. You know what else you wont see in this game... legendary weapons! Played on hardest world tier the entire game getting greens and blues til the very end of the game. They gave me one for their shitty launch. I sent them a message about that. Who wants to play 40 hours hoping they get a legendary only to never get one. Not one time seen one drop from an enemy or got one from an box. Those 10 boxes everyone promised legendaries I got all blue and green. Has to be a bug. Thats the worst bug. I'd rather my game not work then play the whole game and get your hopes up entirely.

Pretty sure mods that give an ability an extra use before cooldown DO stack, in example if I had multiple different pieces of armor that give temporal slice an extra use before cooldown I would have that many uses of my temporal slice before it starts the cooldown, I tested it in the demo before launch and it did work (not sure if it changed since then cuz I havent had time to get too far in the main game)
I have found no need for scrap, everything you can loot in the game is better than you can buy, and to buy something is crazy overpriced. Thanks for another great video.
some mods do stack, like the +1 use for your first ability. There's an icon on mods that looks like some 3d layered squares on top of each other in red. I *think* if the mod shows you that icon it means it won't stack with the same mod you already have. Not sure exactly, but I do know that I've seen some ability uses go to 3, for example.
About the cover system. Aside from boss and mini boss that seems to always know your position. Smaller insurgents can get confused if you change position while line of sight is broken when they move or get cover. You can get around them and most of the time you can see them do supress fire on your last position. A very small amout of stealth mechanic here. Need more testing.
Dismantle EVERYTHING, if you don't have the mods. Those mods might be useless now, but you'll be able to create a build late game, easier, if you have more mods. Also, world tier DO NOT affect exp you gain for levels. Play through the story in a lower world tier, to level faster, and then level world tier later on, when you have better weapons, better mods, and all your skills/class points.
Number 6 isn't entirely true. As technomancer, there's the scrapnel ability where you can place mines on the field, normally you get 1 mine, but at a point I've maxed out at 4 with individual mods that add 1 more mine each

The Xbox will do keyboard and mouse support. It's just a little oversensitive on the mouse. Also the command prompts don't show the keyboard commands they show Xbox controller commands. So you'll need to do a little bit of guessing with the keyboard mouse controls on what commands are what. It will probably just need an update down the line to fix the issue.
Also, a lot of the cover in the game can be destroyed. The weaker wood cover can be destroyed by players and enemies.

Pyromancer can heal with skill leach all skills will heal you so you go skill leach then the fire wave get the mods to do 3 fire waves then use your Pyro version of twisted rounds ez life gain with lower damage but the life gain makes up for it

I just started the other day, but I noticed in this video some of the weapons had different reticles. I hope this is something that comes as you level or get better weapons, because it's tough trying to aim with that practically invisible little dot.. lol
Dude, with the exception of a couple of the shotguns in this game every day every gun uses an external magazine there are no clips sent as I said there are a couple of shotguns that use internal magazines, but they don’t use a clip to load the internal of a load on one shell of a time manually. Clips were a device that held five or six bullets, depending on the size of the internal magazine on a rice bowl, wife and one garage. I don’t think that had an external magazine. I think you’re loaded it from the top you put a Clare a call around how many ever would fit in that internal magazine in the top of the receiver you push down in the bowl is Bob Dylan wanted to time into the magazine, leaving the last one ready to chamber bad to clip when you hear somebody say I need another clamp that’s what they meant. When you see it on TV. They’re just brought it back all the clips called a magazine and they are and the reason I make this quite as they are two entirely different things.
An implication of the world tier issue is that going up a tier in the middle of a quest will make the enemies stronger, but not reward you for fighting them. Might want to disable the auto "tier up" if you see that you're close to changing half-way through a quest.
