How do you get ideas for effects like when to put what. That's my main roadblock. I usually reuse a lot of animations because it takes me a lot of time to come up with ideas and actually implement them.
I totally get that! It's quite hard to come up with something out of nothing. Reusing animations is a good one! But if I had to give you some advice I would say this: 1: Create 1 style for 1 creator. 2: Save things you see in instagram reels. Pick a couple things you like and mix those together to create your own style. 3: Create your own templates. Zoom ins & outs. Circle animations. Text counters. You can already create a lot before hand!
6:31 After pressing P for bringing up 'position'; I can only see X and Y axis values for the front as well as the back layers. I followed all the steps till here but dont know after adding camera and then selecting front layer and bringing up position, there is no Z axis values for me as I can see in your video. Please help, I cannot move forward beyond this point.
Can I ask how you loop something like this seamlessly once it hits the end without being so jerky? If you have any resources or suggestions that would be perfect! Thank you in advance.
It’s not that difficult, just make sure you use assets that loop. And make sure the camera movement loops, so the first keyframe is the same as the last!
Hey there, Tom! I totally get your gratitude for the help. Your content is seriously useful. I've got a favor to ask, though. When I'm editing videos for my clients, I hit a roadblock. I'm not sure how to nail those styles in their videos, you know? Understanding their script becomes a bit of a puzzle. I'm lost on figuring out which parts need that extra animation flair to make the audience go "waoo." Can you spill the beans on the creative process? How do we crack the code, starting from understanding the script to finding the perfect assets and blending them seamlessly?
Hi Saleh! Great question. I think the easiest is to just make it a collaborative project. Most clients know what they want to highlight. It’s easier to work with their bullet points of what they want to highlight than to figure that out yourself. It also makes it easier to find the right assets or animations for it. Also just look at inspiration and save a lot of it.
Hey love the videos but as a Photoshop beginner it would really help if your face didn't cover the right panel G, thank you so much! For example, I was trying to follow through the video but got stuck at 3:04
If AI really wants to be useful in After Effects, let it know when I create a simple mask, its automatic mask color selection should choose a color OTHER than a color that matches what i'm masking. Meet me at a useful level before giving me AI things I don't need.
Feedback : please place your face video somewhere else on screen when you are explaining something there, i could not understand the layer part because of your face video placed on top of it.

This is probably the best parallax tutorial I’ve come across 💯
Wow, thanks!
Tip: I've found that raising the opacity on the bottom layer before applying the generative fill helps a lot with removing those unwanted edges.
Yeah that’s a really good tip
I always see these animations, but I never knew how they do it. Thanks for the tutorial, I'll definetly use this effect!

How can i add ambience to the image? Like a moving trees/leaves and rain pattering on the windows or floors etc??
Just search that footage on youtube (add green screen or black screen) And then add it to the video.
Incredible, I didn't know it was possible!
Thanks!!

Neva mind, found out why the z axis wasn't coming up. For any silly souls like me; You need to check the '3D layer' toggle to on for both layers.
I’m glad you figured it out yourself hahahah
Hi tom, im bit struggling to generate image with AI, maybe you can help with prompt advice like image in this video and AI Graph on previous. Thanks!

did you add a displacement map to the background layer?
Yes! Added turbulent displacement to add some movement to it.
Yeah, I thought so, it gives a look like the whole place is burning thru flames. Anyways nice work!@@TomsProject
