So easy to watch. No intro of himself and his name and his life and opinions for 3 or 5 or more minutes. He got to the point and he spoke slowly and worked slowly, great teacher.
I’m trying to learn most car maintenance myself because it’s ridiculous how much places charge for certain things. And learning from UA-cam isn’t always easy but your video is so easy and helpful! Thank you!
You literally just saved me so much money on how to change the rotor. A mechanic wanted to charge me more than $400 just to change the rotor. I'm a girl and I just love learning more about my car and how to work with it. Thank you so much and you just earned another subscriber.
Very informative video, only flaw is you didn’t use any lubricant for slide pins and also it is a good idea to put a small amount of antiseize on pad ears for easy slide in and out next time......cheers.
Good video But I always use EZglide lube to put on the 14 mm slider bolts and you only have to remoe the 18 mm bolts that hold the caliper bracker if your changing the rotor If your not Leave it alone..
You can go to an auto parts store and tell them the year and model you have. They will probably tell you 2-3 different brands. You don’t need higher end ones like someone would use for auto crossing etc. just get the basic ones. Some leave less dust; choose that one. It’s your preference.
Sometimes a small tube of grease is included in the brake box but I rarely use it. Apply lubricant on caliper pins, clips, edges of the brake pad mounting tabs, and back side of the brake pads if needed. *Do not apply lube on the friction side of the brake pads.
You know you damaged the rotor by taking it off right? You didn’t need to replace it sure you wanted to show how to do it but you just dented the back of that rotor also you work in flip flops wtf

Great to hear 👍😊
Thank you! Great job going over tools and step by step! This will make it a lot easier for me when I replace the wife's brakes. :)
Cool glad it helped you 👍
Great video Thank you for posting. I'm doing it myself for the first time.
You are the best you saved me a lot of money and time I appreciate your video
Great to hear. 👍
Tip: rest an old pad on the cylinder head face and then use “C” clamp as it adds more force and less slippage. Also check for leaks.
Thanks
Wonderful video. Best explanation I have seen
Thanks, glad it was helpful 👍
Wow I just did mine this weekend. 4 years later I paid $48 for the same brake pads.
Excellent DIY man, keep up the great work! 👍
Thanks
Well my friend, you just gained another subscriber! AWESOME video

Good Job! Just missing the lube for the slides.

i thought the same
You make it seem easy enough. Even this cave man might could do it.
I made it short and simple to follow.

I love your safety footwear LOL😂😂
How much do you pump your brakes? Also do you pump them while the car is on? Just making sure since it's my 1st time.
Awesome video man! Thanks
Some cars have a caliper that needs a special tool. I destroyed mine with a C Clamp and needed to use a ratchet instead of a C Clamp. Be advised.
Thanks 👍
What's the best brand breakpad for chrysler 200 2012 front and rear thanks
Hey which bolt has to be the tightest. The bracket bolts or the slide pins?
Awesome video!!!!
Thanks
first one I watched and bingo. awesome video not I feel confident doing them this weekend
Glad to help :-)
How do you know which break pads to get there’s different types of Chrysler 200 break pads
You can go to an auto parts store and tell them the year and model you have.
They will probably tell you 2-3 different brands.
You don’t need higher end ones like someone would use for auto crossing etc. just get the basic ones.
Some leave less dust; choose that one.
It’s your preference.
GetOutTheHouseGoFish thanks so much
The bigger rotors are on the all wheel drive models
What does it mean to flush your piston?
Good Work!
what size brake rotor are these?
I no longer have the vehicle but you should be able to pull it up by the model and year online
Is it the same on a 2014 200s
Should be the same. Just make sure you get the correct part number but the brake change is very similar.
Did u have to bleed brakes?
No just pumped them after before driving
I have a 2015 and do you know if the back brakes are the same as the front?
They will be different; the back brake pads are smaller.
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish process is pretty similar. I saw another person's video and noticed one difference
What about the lube?
I didn’t use it
The guy at Advance sold me brake grease. Where does that come in?
Sometimes a small tube of grease is included in the brake box but I rarely use it.
Apply lubricant on caliper pins, clips, edges of the brake pad mounting tabs, and back side of the brake pads if needed. *Do not apply lube on the friction side of the brake pads.
Mine didn’t come with a clip and I don’t see one on my old ones
I don’t recommend hitting the rotor your gonna keep on, you’ll feel a pulsation in the pedal.
Yes it was just an example to show what you might have to do to get an old one off.
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish I know
My guy!!!!
Glad it helped 👍
👍

😆 the rotor was not dented or damaged in the process of making this video; 🩴 flip flops? Hell yea this is Florida 😆
Glad you enjoyed watching 👍
