I have to agree these guys are an exceptional talent and they love what they do. I can listen to them for hours too. I put on their you tube videos at night and listen for hours!
A friend from Cary NC shared a different video and I loved it - But This is the video that took me! This was NYE and on Jan. 24th 2011 I drove to my sons in the area and we went to see these guys play (with Sinful Savage Tigers - I Miss them!!) GOOD Memories, I made many many drives to Carrboro from Maryland to hear these guys! And then Labor Day this year I flew to Nashville to see them play RYMAN :)
Mandolin Orange you light my 5 month old grand daughter’s life up, too. She’s listened for months now, but tonight, next to me, she watched this performance. So content and grateful am I that she’s as mesmerized as myself.

1/16/2021 5:46 AM I lay in bed awake and I hear my beloved "Hootie" hooting right outside my window, letting me know that he's out there... So...I pick up my phone & start scrolling. I cone to you guys set up in a beautiful church with the voices of Angels. What is really beautiful is, as soon as. I start listening you start singing about a wise ole night Owl. You are all amazing! Just beautiful! Thank You for sharing.
These two are wonderful artists and beautiful musicians and human beings, if you give their music a listen it'll be apparent. Without them and otherslike them such as Bradi Carlile and and J.S. Ondaro, music today would just be sad and we'd be stuck listening to music from decades gone by. They're keeping great music fresh.
Wow. Just wow. Stumbled across video on Audiotree and was blown away. Ive since shared with several people and on Facebook. Mandolin Orange, keep up the good work!
I have lost track of how many times I have watched this, so beautiful. But seeing them live 3 or 4 times now in London has been much more special. Each time they are more mature both musically and as group, it is really a privilege to be on their tour path.
Wow! This whole performance was incredible! For me the song Clover Tune at 1:28:45 is possibly one of the hest songs I've ever heard. I think The Rock of Ages is phenomenal also! Love these guys. They have rare talent.
Truly is love at first sight with both of them. He's incredibly talented. There's no words to describe her. The kind of girl you want your daughter to be. Gives definitions to the word beautiful.
One day we will see Mandolin Orange has become an overnight success because they love what they do and it is undoubtedly he best job on the planet if you can deliver music like this, don't you think?
Oh, wow. I was there for this, up there up in the balcony next to the sound guy. Me and my girlfriend at the time just wandered in off the street, and they told us it was cool to sit up there as long as we were quiet.
The melody and words are cool as, thank you. I love it, I am reflecting on my life and your music is helping me no end, thanks. Your perspective is real, thanks guys. The girl on the fiddle is awesome, so much feel and soul in every song/tune thanks. Keep it real and emotional wow
Being from Nashville the "corn capital of the world" it drives me crazy that talent like this is not all over the radio. I can literally sit and listen to their music for hours. They did a love video in Raleigh church back in 2010, and it just tore me up. Every time I hear Darling Girl, I tear up. If there is a better contemporary lyricist than Andrew, I've haven't heard them. Hey, Nashville! Get your shit together and gives these kids a deal! Dammit!
Amen to you Ronnie. But that's the way the music business and corporate radio operate. Great new artists like these two put out 3 great country albums and they still remain obscure while the shit that passes for country these days are making it big. All style and no substance. Bittersweet is this old world.
Ronnie Martin Couldn't agree more. I just herd a radio program the other day about how hard it is to be an upcoming musician these days. Reason being mostly that people are not so willing to pay when it's "free" etc. Guess it's up to us to drop them a dime for their wonderful music :)
Please nasty Nashville never get involved with these two. They will big business choke their Tallent. But your right. These two are well worth the extra money i spend to Bluetooth my garmin and watch up and down the road
I never heard of "Mandolin Orange" until last week, and only then because I clicked on one of their youtube videos because their name attracted me. What a gift of Creator these two righteous souls are!!
Have you heard of Andrew Peterson? Amazing lyrics also. You can read them separately, as poetry. He is from Nashville. Milk Carton Kids are also a wonderful band I just discovered. They led me to Mandolin Orange. I wish I could have your radio station in Eastern Europe.
Beautiful music. Thanks so much, you two! It was terrific to be with you at Song Camp (Americana Song Academy) and at the Festival. Bright and successful blessings to you on your continued musical journey.

Don't stop, keep on playing and finding new horizons. I'm in my 60's and this is the first great music I've heard in years. THANK YOU Mandolin Orange. Peace out.

But the conexión between them...its so special!! Unsual... magical... and very real at the same time... Thank you Mandoline Orange por give us so much!....
During Wee Bird at 34:50, Andrew sings "that wee bird squawking *almost* wrecked my mind,” then flashes a knowing smile at Emily. I so want the world to heart hear kids, but selfishly, I don't want them to "sell out" because I won't be able to bop on down to Schuba's on May 8th and see them for $20 bucks. LOL!! I was lucky enough to see then perform in DC many years ago. So glad they toured there. Their music is so real and so true to life!
Really enjoy their music. And this video provides that rare commodity on UA-cam: excellent recording quality.
Oh my. Many years ago this this was made but the enjoyment still lingers. I do look forward to day I get to see y'all live.

In my opinion, the best concert on UA-cam of Mandolin Orange ...
His singing style reminds me a bit of Leonard Cohen. Her harmonies are beautiful, and she plays a pretty good fiddle too !
You guys are just absolutely awesome. 😍😍😍
Been loving their music for years, glad they finally got married already!
Been listening all day
Thank you. I did not mind the first attempt at posting this, because the audio was all I needed. They are just as fun to watch though!

These guys are a true gem.
we love the band as well.awesome.
"May God keep Mandolin Orange safe and together forever. Amen."
Amen
Keep all their kids warm and fed too, God.
It's only natural to invite Jesus to sit in on drums if you play a church.
I laughed way too hard at this.
Amen, Steve :-). It takes a good hand to drum as gently as Mandolin Orange's mellow music requires.
Yikes !!! So funny :) X1M
ha that's funny. he's snazzy looking.
Lol! My grasp of Jesus conforms.
Loved the moment at 27:48. Wow!
Zsolto66 that was fantastic!
that's the cutest proposal! they're going to remember that in their 60s...
Ahh!! No!! My eyes are leaking. Too cute.
Man they look young. But the music was already there!
дай бог вам здоровья классные музыканты
I am reminded first of the late great Townes Van Zandt ...
Joe Alvey
Yerh, I hear him there to :)
Townes in da house I concur. ...........definitely an influence ......vocal tones. .......pace.....etc....
Joe Alvey he reminds me of Robert Earl Keen
I agree with you, sir, and that is high praise indeed.
Such lovely music 👍🎶 of the spirit...
Emily breathtakingly beautiful.
During Wee Bird at 34:50, Andrew sings "that wee bird squawking *almost* wrecked my mind,” then flashes a knowing smile at Emily. It could be Emily is the “wee bird”.
She has very nice phrasing on this recording, very clear and detailed.
It's a darling girl, my darling girl
With eyes as dark as night and a heart so true
But just so strong, set to live a darling life
As years roll by, she'll grow up fine
She'll sing a silent song
But she'll find your piano
And she'll find her wings
She'll sing all the days long
I'm waiting on a ghost, to show her loving arms
And sweet Marie, I can see
Your faint light shining down on me
Go call on her brother, and her sister too
Go call on all the town
Tell them all today, your darling girl is to wear a wedding gown
Though it all came so fast
Ten years soon will pass, before there's room for three
My sister will grow, my mother will know
Soon there will be room for me
I'm waiting on a ghost
To show her loving arms
And sweet Marie, I can see
Your faint light…
I live in North Raleigh so I was curious about this band
