    • Aikijujutsu Concepts -...
After class Discussion: Former US Navy SEAL, Ken Good practically demonstrates the idea of using "Triangulation" and weight shifting to destabilize opponents and gain advantages. Nothing is in this realm is gained without deliberate and intelligent practice. No free Lunch out there!

Your demonstration of basic physics concepts regarding the body is spot on. There are many that doubt the art who forget there is a vast difference between "Self Defense" and "MMA." How and when did MMA become the "standard" for defining whether or not a technique is effective or useless?
Regardless, your work is very informative and appreciated. Domo arigato gozaimasu.

I really liked how you used traditional weapon retention methods on modern weapons

What I've learned from your videos is I need to carry a kettle bell everywhere.

Stepping through completes the technique. Step forward and dropping weight is more effective than trying to use upper body strength to wrestle him.

    This is legit.
    Very much like SOC-P.
Using the 3rd leg principle of Judo and applying kinetic energy using center of gravity to direct force through the opposition towards the 3rd leg.
Or break the opposition's structural support balance to put them down using the center of gravity (kettle bell) weight transfer.
I've trained Judo, Daito Ryu, Jujutsu and some wrestling. I've used these principles.
Anyone thinking this is fake or his uke is tanking for the demo hasn't the experience to recognize these biomechanics.
I don't know the man in this video but I recognize what he's doing and it's legit.
Good block of instruction here in this video.

Using 45 degree angles and using your body weight while moving into his empty space.

That is an effective and efficient way to move your mass with the kettlebell, however, it's not aiki in the "internal" sense of the word. It's the shoden, external shell that is a first step toward conditioning the body to "make aiki." The next phase is to learn how to manipulate specific internal core tissues so you don't need to make that big external "kettle bell swing" to create kuzushi on your opponent.

How is your push as strong as kettle bell? Anyone would just let go and back up..it looks like he is cooperating and falling for you

What is "strong"? Yes, it looks like he is cooperating. He is not. Not sure where you live. I am in San Diego, CA. Come in see me. Bring you video camera. It's ALL Fake, until its not...

@@progressivecombat I would like to come see you and learn more about your technique but I'm not in the USA. Hopefully I can stop by someday. Where can I look into this more?

The kettle bell's an analogy for body weight. the point being to use his body or his opponent's body against his opponent's weaker lower portion while the top of his opponent's body is attached to you. I mean it's simple misdirection. feint high and attack low. The question being how to counter this. and how to counter the counter. Which I assume would require some sort of drilling against opponents who are thinking. This would probably work against someone drunk straight out of the box though

Go to a Yoshinkan (Aikido) or aikijujutsu dojo (a good one), then you will see.
