Hey dude, they sent us one of these and we just can’t get the picture quality right. We’ve got it set as 4k 30 and all the other settings they sent us to use. We dump footage onto pc via Sony Memories then edit via Sony Vegas 18 and render in highest quality. But the finished picture quality is like a hero 1. Pretty sure it must be us doing something wrong, any advice really appreciated mate

When I download video from Insta360 one rs to UA-cam it auto drops the quality to 360p. I’m downloading and it’s showing on my phone in 1080p. How can I get it to download to UA-cam at the same quality?
Thanks for this. I perform standup comedy and like filming my sets to get a better sense of what worked and what didn’t. Would the One RS work in such an environment? Usually the stage is well lit and the camera could be set up anywhere from 20-30m from the stage.
Hi, at 0:37 you mention that you can turn on and off horizon levelling. Is this correct? I can not find this option there. How can it be done? Thanks in advance for your help.
at 1:02 there is a symbol which shows "off" is it that? I do not have it in my menu. My firmware version is v1.4.57.4 which seems to be the latest available one.

Tiny question - Can you take this out the box and use straight away, and edit the footage on the desktop app thing. Or do I have to get the app on my phone to "activate" it? I had a problem last year with the dji osmo pocket and app, the app would not activate my camera , no matter what I tried, I ended up returning it cos it I could not use it. is this the way all these camera's are going? I think my phone is so old now, its no longer smart its just a phone! I'm sad that gone are the days, we could buy a camera and use it straight out the box, it didn't have to be activated,. not everyone's got the latest smartphones, so we miss out. (i've been doing some homework! just wondered if this was the case, cos i found out that was the issue i would have with the insta 360 Go2.) maybe i'm a dinosaur!! another epic video by the way, you explain things really well. thank you
Hi Calvin, you can use both cameras straight out of the box, you do have to connect to the app to transfer the footage to the app but apart from that it’s not essential just to use the camera. You could for example record, plug it into your laptop and transfer the footage straight to the desktop studio app which is downloadable from the insta360 website. The RS obviously has an sd card to do you can just take that out and transfer footage to the laptop that way. Either way they are both simple to use and don’t require a phone unless you plan on using the app. 🤘

What settings would you recommend for bright environment? I have just bought a RS and plan on shooting glass lamp working footage. (Lots of fire). Also, a micro sd card size? Is a 1tb over kill?
Try and follow the double the frame rate rule and maybe use an ND filter if your filming lots of bright lights and fire! I would recommend using max 128gb card, plenty of record time and for any reason the card crashes you don’t long lose 1tb of data 👍

For mountain biking in all lights
I would use the insta360 desktop studio to edit and export the footage, just import via the sd card.

They never made an nd filter for the rs sadly.
The only bad thing about this camera is that I can't use it as a webcam or live streaming.
It can, I have a video coming soon, the new RS has a webcam mode, no software needed, just plug and play 👌

Sure it would work well, you have the quick zoom feature which allows you to zoom in a little if you want a closer shot too! 👍

Yea you can turn it on and off, scroll across all the way to the end of the menu

Resolved: Flow state has to be set to "post", then it is displayed.. If it is actived in the camera then horizon levelling is not available.
