- President Biden said he and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping would continue to “preserve and pursue” high level diplomacy, after the pair held talks on Wednesday at an estate outside of San Francisco.

You don't call someone a dictator after you've had a productive meeting.
So either you didn't have a productive meeting or you need to revisit your ethics basics.
I doubt the latter.
I doubt Xi is offended. Biden needs to say this to avoid looking too soft for the election.

I think China and the U.S. should have a better relationship. When I think back to WW II, China and the United States were allies,
as the First Lady of China said in the U.S. Congress: "neither can I forget the moral courage of both the people of the US and China fighting shoulder to shoulder."
President Xi also said in San Francisco today:"During World War II, our two countries fought side by side."
But China wasn't communist in WW2...
That was the now Taiwanese government that was overthrown on the mainland after ww2
China became a communist country in 1949. It was in a civil war before that time.

The China with which the US fought side by side in World War II was the Republic of China (now in Taiwan), not the People's Republic of China. I'm very disappointed with Biden today, who has played into the hands of the authoritarian communist regime. In the press conference after their meeting, he only said what Xi wanted to hear (i.e., sticking to one China policy) and failed to reassure what Taiwanese people were expecting of their ally (i.e., sticking to Taiwan Relations Act). He has factually helped China influence Taiwan's election at this critical juncture by confirming China's propaganda that the US is not a reliable ally and will sell Taiwan out for "the interest of American people" or, more accurately, for the interest of his own reelection.
A direct war with China will become ww3. No EU NATO US went to ukraine to fight russia. No EU NATO US will not go to Taiwan to fight china.
