Thank you very much. I am really looking forward to making those trousers, then I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for some warmer weather so I can wear them 😊
It is a really lovely pattern, definitely one of my favourites. Yes the fabric faded loads, a bit disappointing! I’ll have to make sure to treat the new one extra carefully when washing etc!
Lots of cute projects in this video. Those trousers are going to be fantastic. The black lacy sweater will pair beautifully with them too. The nicest thing about sewing is making unique garments and your daughter's unicorn leggings are a great example of the fun you can have. I wondered while you were discussing your original estuary skirt if there might have been a tiny spur on your needle that caused the pull. Some fabrics are definitely more forgiving than others but happy that the remake has gone well. 🤞 it holds up better over time.
Thank you very much, I’m really looking forward to sewing the trousers, I think they’ll be something I get a lot of use out of hopefully. I hadn’t considered that with the needle on the Estuary skirt, thanks for mentioning,I’ll bear that in mind for future projects.
Really enjoyed the British isms today, bibbibdeebobbilly and tatty. New to me, and fun to hear. You are so very productive and inspiring. Loved your daughters solution to the fabric shortage, and the remake of the viscose skirt. The relaxed fit sweatshirt and the matching ribbing is something I need to find, really done well. The cotton knit jumper is very nice, wish I had the discipline to complete a knit garment.
Hi Cath, I am knitting my granddaughter a cardigan in a cotton yarn. I had previously knitted myself a cardigan in it but it turned out enormous so unravelled it and started the cardi for my granddaughter. I used to knit all the time then just dipped in and out over the years. Good Luck with the trousers x xDebbie x
Hi Debbie, I hope the cardigan for your granddaughter goes well, that’s a shame the cardigan you knitted for yourself turned out too big. Thanks I’m looking forward to sewing the trousers 😊 xx
Good morning, lovely to see what you’ve been up to this week 🥰 I’ve been making a sweatshirt this week - I was hoping I could start my springtime plans … but it’s still very cold!
If you have the time and inclination, I recommend making another non-wearable toile before you cut into that gorgeous fabric and make sure you really like it. I also made the Saguaro Set last summer, and found I didn't really care for the bulkiness of the trousers. I ended up making another pair using the Emerson Pants from True Bias, which I liked better. They have a flat front waistband with pleats and elastic back waist. Don't be deceived by the cropped length in the photos. I made mine full length, and they're now my favorite summer trousers. Love your videos!!!
Thank you very much, that’s interesting to hear about how you found the Saguaro trousers, I will bear it in mind thanks. The Emerson pants look nice, I do love True Bias patterns 😊
It’s always fun to see what you have made and your innovations when you come up short or have another fitting/ sewing issue. I hope the estuary skirt do-over holds up longer than the first one. It’s sad when a favorite garment wears out or the fabric quality isn’t as nice as hoped for… your knitting is first rate! I enjoy seeing what you’ve made. Thanks! 😊
You are inspiring me to get out my knitting that I have neglected for the last 12 months lol!! I have a we are knitters jumper almost finished just waiting for the last little bits to be done with it 🥲
This was great! I love your videos. I do also love seeing your knitting projects. Your knitting skills are excellent! We all have to pull out a few (or many) rows from time to time. I’m looking forward to seeing your finished sweater. Or is it a jumper in the UK? It’s a sweater here in the US. 🥰
Hi Cath thank you for a great vlog. I'm keen to see your trousers in the black viscose. I've realised I think I need to add crotch depth too to my trousers generally. I've only got as far as safiya trousers but they don't sit right so I will try again adding 5cm as you have in yours (I checked out Instagram to see if you'd made some also) can I ask how you tackled the pockets on those trousers as they're anchored to the waistband? Hope you don't mind me asking about a previous pair of trousers not related to this vlog. 😊
Hi Rachel sorry for the delay in replying, I had to find my Safiya trousers as I couldn’t remember what I’d done! I ended up switching the anchored pockets for standard side seam pockets as I added so much extra height that I wasn’t sure I wanted to lengthen the pockets that much or move them up much higher 😊
@@madebycathcraft ah thanks for digging them out I appreciate it. I think I'll try them again adding some height. I like the pockets so will do the same, thank you.
Viscose challis is one type of viscose, there are a few different types. This article explains them well: sewmesunshine.co.uk/blogs/sew-me-sunshine/what-is-viscose-dressmaking-fabric
Love how you use up fabrics, rather than buying and buying. I think your trousers and top will be fab together 👍
Thank you very much. I am really looking forward to making those trousers, then I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for some warmer weather so I can wear them 😊
Looking forward to seeing your trousers. Beautiful makes 🙌❤️💚💙💜
Thank you very much 🥰🥰
Lovely makes. Hope you enjoy making up the trousers. The jumper is going to be really pretty. Thank you😊
Thank you very much 😊
The lace really pops in the light coloured yarn. I think your daughter has a keen eye for fashion, I love the contrasting legs of the leggings.
Thank you, I really like how the leggings turned out too 😊
I love the meadow wood blouse. I've had my eye on that one for ages. Great video and some beautiful fabric there.
Thank you very much 😊
I had a head cold too all week. Feeling better today after week . Hope you’re over it soon.nice makes as usual!
Thank you very much 😊
That is crazy how much your shirt has faded. You’re so right to make again if you love it! The pattern looks great. I’ll have to give that one a go!

I thoroughly enjoy grabbing a cup of tea, a biscuit, my knitting and watching every video you release. 💗
Thank you so much, that’s really nice to know 😊❤️
Your daughter’s legging are really cute! I hope she gets lots of wear out of them. All of your other makes you shared are lovely ❤
Thank you very much 😊❤️ I hope my daughter will get lots of wear out of the leggings too

Super Nice
Thank you 😊
Trying soaking the leopard print skirt in white vinegar, it helps set the color.
Thank you for the tip 😊

Could you tell me what the difference is between viscose and Viscose Challis please.
Viscose challis is one type of viscose, there are a few different types. This article explains them well: sewmesunshine.co.uk/blogs/sew-me-sunshine/what-is-viscose-dressmaking-fabric
Thank you so much. That's really helpful.
