    I am glad I still got the "old model" 4 month ago with a big discount, and mine came already with UHD and amoled display. The old model is definitely more beautiful and stylish in my eyes, and as I am aware, the keypad is more solid and doesn't bend at all. Can't see much of an upgrade with the new model. Though you have now the new aspect ratio of 16:10, which implies automatically a bigger palm rest and more space for the touch pad as well, you get at the other hand a bulkier, less handy device. Palm rest and touch pad are completelly fine and big enough for me in the old model. Designwise, the new model is in fact a throwback to the 2018 or 2017 version, which definitelly cannot be called an upgrade.

    • @TechBytesWithLoren
      @TechBytesWithLoren  Рік тому +1

      You make really good point, I think it really comes down to preference if we compare the old to the new. I personally am a big fan of the increased Aspect Ratio

    I have 3 questions here;
    1. Do we have an option for opting for a num pad version of the same? (I'm a huge fan of having number pad and I don't mind the layout being offset and the speakers like spectre 15 layout) but without a num pad is kind of a deal breaker for most of us since that was one of the USP comparing to Dell XPS.
    2. What is the weight and price of the 16 inch model with dedicated graphics?
    3. Does this price/package include the pen by default or is it an add-on cost?
    Appreciate your response in advance.
    Cheers :)

    • @TechBytesWithLoren
      @TechBytesWithLoren  2 роки тому +2

      Hey there Rohith, this partical model has no option for num pad. I absolutely understand what you mean.
      The weight is from 2.15kg but can differ depending on config, I unfortunately cannot offer pricing details. I would recommend following up with your local retailers or the HP store when available.
      There are varients that include the Pen but this depends on pricing and also where you purchase your device.

      Micro SD Card Reader
      Thunderbold 4 with USB-C x2
      Power adapter Port

      To answer your questions, yes there is a dedicated GPU running 30 series GPU in the unit I have. How ever there is a non dedicated option available this may potentially differ depending on the Country.
      I currently have the Core i7 11th Gen CPU but there are different configurations depending on needs of the user and country.
      There is a 16GB or 32GB RAM option, but again it all depends on the configuration chosen.
      The speakers have moved placement in comparion to it's previous models in 15" which has increased the audio experience.
      The Brick wattage is depending on whether there is a dedicated GPU or not. For dedicated its 135w and 90w for non dedicated

      Unfortunately it has, but there is always the potential for future devices to come out in different sizes

    Apparently these chopped off corner Spectres are have a serious technical problem with the circuit boards, but do your own research. No full size SD Card…stupid. Not enough USB-A ports.

      That is 100% not true. So either provide proof or delete this post...

      I am not entirely sure what you are referencing here re the chopped off corners. But if this is an issue you have experienced, I would recommend reaching out to HP.
      The world is moving to Thunderbolt and USB-C, to keep up with the times so are the new spectres. I can absolutely recommend you a great adapter if you need it.

      @@TechBytesWithLoren >> Apple was stupid to adapt a ‘new standard’ without consulting with consumers. Granted, they’ve led the pack, with innovation, and brought in good ideas and bad. Their keyboard fiasco along with other stupid screw-ups were nearly unforgivable and should have gotten Mr Cookie Boy CEO fired. Plain and simple. Steve Jobs would have never tolerated such stupidity.
      The computer idea that a company has, which was recently introduced, is a laptop having interchangeable internal electronic boards, and 4 interchangeable modules which make the 2 ports on the left side and the 2 ports on the right side anything the user wants. Shocking but true! If I want all four ports USB-A, I can swap modules and get that; If I want to change out to 1 Ethernet port, 2 USB-A and 1 USB-c port, the User can do that too. Give that company an Award 🥇 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️!!!
      Imagine! A forward thinking company who makes the CONSUMER the most important person, rather than the inflated ego geeks acting as gods of technology. Let God be worshiped on Sunday and bring the retired people out-of-retirement to re-teach the young people basic respect of honor for the consumer.
      Side note…. Sorry I cant remember when or where i saw the youtube video, but a Repair Professional was showing how the internal board of the HP Spectre with the angled cornered surface on the rear left and right sides has a USB-c female connector on each of those angled-corners. Apparently there is not enough internal support on those newer versions of the Spectre. As users insert, remove, insert, remove male USB-c connectors over and over, the female connectors are becoming disconnected from the circuit boards with the traces cracking or the connector pins which solder to board breaking off internally, and those connectors stop working electrically. If you check most recent reviews for the 2022 version of that laptop, though, HP has gotten rid of that flawed design and gone back to a model having normal 90 degree corners at the rear.
      Oh Lookie Here! >>> This is the Video Title (and look and the opening screen capture, with the specific HP model pictured with the angled corners.) >> “ Fix Thunderbolt / USB C port Not working on HP Spectre” See too…. I remember there’s another video I have seen also explaining the same problem.
