This is version 1.0 of the work Feast Without Fish.
Inspired by the seafood culture of hometown and the nuclear emissions incident, Feast Without Fish uses a food-performance dinner ritual to link ecology, politics, and regional food cultures, bringing the audience into the narrative space. The audience will be able to choose from a menu of dishes that will be prepared with reference to the artist's hometown seafood practices and mixed with contaminated seafood ingredients in the process. During the eating process, the nuclear radiation light source deprives the audience of the experience of smell and taste, and the immersive tide of marine life surrounds the audience. The leftovers on the plate try to evoke the audience's conjecture and speculation about the safety and quality of seafood, smell and taste, in contrast to the pure and unadulterated souls of the marine creatures in the audiovisual videos.
