I have been a teacher for 33 years and you are fantastic. You untangled a mystery of the blind hem. Thank you. I also made a paper template to review when I need to do hemming on pants, etc. Thanks again!! You're the BEST.

😃 No messing about, straight to the subject matter. What a fantastic teacher you are. Everything you said and did made so much sense and was so easy to follow. You made me sit up and take notice and I dropped everything to get the paper to make the folding reminder. Thank you for your wonderful tutorial. I shall subscribe.💕

Thank you so much! This is the BEST tutorial on a blind hem stitch. This is one of the techniques I forget easily if it has been a while since my last hem. Your paper idea is the absolute best! Now, I have my ready made paper in my sewing kit to refresh my memory quickly!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Before watching your video, I could never get straight how to fold the fabric or even which side went got sewn while doing a blind hem. Even with printed illustrations, it was just confusing and seemed counterintuitive. Your red paper trick really helped and I will keep my paper sample on hand to make the process clear each time I do the process.

    That was well explained.
I had difficulty at first understanding how the blind hem works.
I am a senior ( in years only) and it was a great challenge to " get " this.
I have now sewn some exercise blind hems and put one of my 6 machine feet to use.
It's wonderful to still keep learning.
I now have to learn how the other feet work......no one else bothers!
    Thank you.

You are an amazing teacher. I have been struggling to learn how to use this presser foot. I WAS ready to give up just today. Thank you for the encouragement. Either I will learn to use it or I’ll send a pic of a smashed up presser foot! Lol

Thank you for your video. This is the best blind hem stitch tutorial I've ever seen. Sewing blind hems has always been confusing for me, but now I finally understand! You are a great teacher and make it look "sew" easy!!! I'm off to find my colored paper!

This was the best explanation I have ever seen. I had never done a blind hem before. I am new to sewing. I am also a guy and haven't had any training. I was able to finally make blind hems after watching your video over a few times. Thank you.

The hard part is getting the stitch width just right. Either it catches every time and the stitches show, or it is almost invisible but misses sections of the hem (no matter how careful and slow that I sew). My husband's khaki pants hem came out in the wash, and I had to redo it today. I thought it was perfect, but them there were gaps that didn't catch--so I just went over those sections again!

Would you be able to show up s how to do it with an actual pair of trousers please. I'm confused if you turn them inside out or how the fabric will flop over. I have 4 pairs of school trousers to take up. Thank you😀

I can't tell where the guide is on the pants while you're sewing it. It would realky help if you would show a clise-up of where the guide is on the fold before you start sewing.

What machine are you using I brought the Brother XS2070 but I don't know what other feet are compatible with it being that it's computerized and certain feet are for certain stitches. I would be interested in your opinion and thoughts

Why would you leave that much of a raw edge above the finished hem? I would turn the raw edge under 1/4".

    • @nancywilliams58
      @nancywilliams58 5 років тому

I believe she was just using this raw edge as an example.
