Apparently this is the theory of why this is happening: When a mudmouth spawns in the game tells it which one of it's valid spawn positions it should appear at, the mudmouth will then occupy that spawn point. However, for some reason the game might give it two spawn points, so when the mudmouth spawns in it will try to occupy both spawn points simultaneously, something it can't do. While here its shown them moving, in some cases of this glitch the mudmouths will simply teleport to there other spawn location.
Its like Mudmouths gained access to G Mod and brought noclip into splatoon. I wish i got to see this, but I only ever saw the peekaboo Mudmouths in game
@@PoyoPerson Like... they're not supposed to move at all??? Phew, glad that's getting fixed soon. I would have been petrified amd sweating if one of those motherfuckers chased me around the stage, or just popped out of nowhere and killed me in an instant!
@@PoyoPerson this happens because a Nintendo employee thought the servers for salmon run were toasters and cooked toast in them causing the mud mouth to then have a literal seizure
Probably at least one of the other players had it it in the correct position on their console. That's why the eggs all flew off to a different location.
To extend from my answer, the majority of the golden eggs levitated towards a singular position located near the basket, basically saving time we would have spent delivering the eggs
This glitch was patched very early on into the game's lifespan so it's understandable how you may have never encountered it. You're lucky to never have experienced the horrors of the Mud Mouth.
@@PoyoPerson I know it was patched fast but the thing that intrigues me is how common it seemed near launch with everyone talking about it. Even though day 1 I was in grizzco permanently yet I never saw this at all.
@@noname-jt6kl Ikr! I only experienced this once but others went on about how they hadn't even experienced a regular mud mouth wave, perhaps the glitch has to do with the user's connection or something. That would give an explanation as to why some experienced it far more than others. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
this is genuinely scarier than the post-boss fight noises

This is a certified Mud Mouth classic.
Wait, you're telling me those things AREN'T supposed to move like that??
I regret to inform you so 😔

Yeah they were reacting unusually to online servers
@@PoyoPerson this happens because a Nintendo employee thought the servers for salmon run were toasters and cooked toast in them causing the mud mouth to then have a literal seizure
They should turn this into a feature by releasing a King Salmonid that's a giant mudmouth that just schmooves across the map like this.
can confirm, i was the squid
Bro is running for his life
wow that really is a mudmouth moment
I love how even when they were behaving this way people were still able to damage them and win a wave

Amazingly we managed!!!

Classic splatoon 3 salmon run
Good thing it patched so no one will have e a instant loss
I totally agree! As bizarre as it was, it was pretty unfair for your shift to end over a glitch you had no control over.
At least they didn’t fail. Probably.
I am sad that never got to experience this but maybe one day, the gitch will come back again on a future updated.
I'm sure another potentially crazier glitch will fill the mudmouth's place
what if they bring it back but make it exclusive to the golden ones
