    • @sparkysmalarkey
      @sparkysmalarkey 2 роки тому

      @@soupmanofthecan8325 I had an assumption that was way off base.
      I thought they were like natural fulgurites, when you use a metal rod to cause lightning strikes to hit pure sand, creating glass.
      Thunder eggs are a geological formation where mineral and agate can be drawn in to a hot gas bubble.
      I was curious if you could remove the entire outer layer, leaving just the mineral/agate formation in the center.
      Instead of a 2D slice or half, the 3D part in the center.
      I do not think it is possible, maybe with a laser and a computer, someone could make a 3D model and print it, idk.

    My favorite Thunder Eggs are the ones that look like paintings, such as the half at 4:00 looks like a foggy beach morning and the one at 4:47 that looks like mountains looming in the distance of a frozen lake. They’re absolutely gorgeous!

      I saw one that was opened that looked like a storm was coming. Beautiful.

    Richardson ranch is pretty awesome. you go find them, dig em up and cut em. It's the whole experience from start to finish, can't beat that.

    The one at 2:14 looks like a painting of the sea trapped inside a rock so beautiful
