Its 2017 releases coincided with civil unrest in South Korea as a response to governmental corruption. RM confirmed as much when asked about the song by the Korea Herald. "I wrote the lyrics for BTS so we do not stay silent against social issues and injustice and continue to solve it and raise problem," he said. "We talk about social issues, read books and meet with experts and ponder together. We still have a long way to go, but we will think hard and embrace criticism." The lyrics of "Not Today" speak of overcoming obstacles and keep fighting, while instilling hope in oneself. In the opening lyrics, RM calls out to "all the underdogs in the world." It discusses the theme of anti-establishment that was featured in their previous singles "No More Dream" and "N.O.", through lines like, "A day may come when we lose/ But it is not today/ Today we fight!" During the chorus, the band speak of rallying against injustice, corruption and irrationality; "Don’t kneel, don’t cry, raise your hands Not not today." The line, "Break the glass ceiling that cages you" references the idea of breaking all invisible barriers that stop people from succeeding. The lyrics addressed social and political issues (they are trying to rally the youth and let them know life is worth fighting for, possibly in response to the extremely high rates of youth suicide in their country from a generation that feels lost, unempowered and desperate.)💜💜

The BTS Haters are fans from other fandoms who actually got knocked out of the running for awards they assumed were there's. I wont mention any names but there was 1 in particular. Their book Beyond the Story was really enlightening. Things were revealed that were didn't even know about. Remember, KPOP is an INDUSTRY and if you dont follow their protocols and pay your way up then you are outcaste. BTS had to create their own variety show, RUN BTS, because they had not real way to connect to ARMY besides doing VLives.
Haters hate on them because they are so successful. They can’t be them and they don’t have loving fans like they do. I don’t think that there will ever be another group like BTS or another fandom like Army.

The dance practice is pretty special because it's just that, the dance for the whole song, without all the cuts out to create the cinematic video, and typically you can see all seven of them, when all seven are dancing. 💜

Many hate because they’re Asian band successful In racist society. I have tried to share their music with my family and been told because they are Asian they won’t even give them a chance. It was my granddaughters that introduced me to them in 2018 went to our first BTS concert in 2019 and if they are in USA we’re there Agust D/ Suga concert in Chicago was awesome. MBC a Korean TV company got annoyed when BTS didn't appear on their New Year show in 2019 because BTS had already committed to appear at the New years rocking eve show in Times Square and dont invite BTS to appear in their shows any more.
