This was recorded in a record shop in South Korea in August 2020, thus giving meaning to RM's intro to Spring Day as "the roughest summer ever...". Tiny Desk Concert is a series on National Public Radio (NPR) that showcases a variety of musical groups and vocals. Normally, the artists perform at the desk of NPR's music host, Bob Boilen, who retired today. Last December, RM did a remote performance from SK of his solo songs. NPR recently licensed an international version called Tiny Desk Korea. V of BTS recently did a performance featuring three songs from his new album.
This is the best group in the world, 3 rappers and 4 vocalist and all dance. The have 6 nr 1 songs at Billboatd 100 and 6 nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200, also 2 members( 3 guy from left Jungkook he got his song Seven Ft Latto to nr 1 at Billboard, 100, 200, Global, Spotify and nr 3 at Uk. Jimin the guy to the right also got his song Lika Crazy to nr 1 at Billboard 100
Spring Day is a very deep, meaningful song to BTS and to Korea. There's a video that explains the MV so you may want to watch it and do some research about it so you'll understand the MV.
Yes, even the rappers can sing. They all harmonize with each other beautifully. And you’re 100 percent correct. Although their talent is on a whole other level, what endears them to Army the most is their brotherhood and their pure, genuine love for each other and us.
It seem's strange watching them while they are sitting down singing when we expect them to be either dancing or running around on stage engaging with us at Live concerts. Seeing them live with 60,000 plus other fans in a Stadium concert is something to behold.
Glad you enjoyed this! The 2021 Festa Room Live performance is similar to this, where it's partial versions of about 7 songs. Lots of different genres. Really, really good! The song "Save Me" that you commented on, has an official music video, which is excellent. It was actually shot in one, single take. There is a follow up song to it, called "I'm Fine", which is wonderful, as well. BTS has 4 vocalists and 3 rappers. The rappers can go very hard; I'd suggest checking out UGH!, Cypher 3, or Tear if you want to see more of that. Thanks for this reaction!
I agree that you should check out Festa 2021. It is a mix of a lot of their music and will give you an idea of how much diversity they have in their discography!
This made me ARMY. I had only seen the Dynamite video, which didn't fully grab me... And then I saw how much they enjoyed performing it together. And then I heard Save Me and my eyes got wider... And then Spring Day made me cry. Spring Day isn't my favorite BTS song because it stands outside of that for me. There are some, and then there's Spring Day, which is the most perfect expression of grief and longing I've ever heard. It's special. I ended the video wanting to know their names, and never turned back. It wasn't too much later that I was watching this again and when V said "can you hear me Army?" I said "I can hear you!" out loud, and that's how I found out I had joined up 😂 They're astounding live, born for the stage. They give intensely powerful performances, but they also get deep and vulnerable with the crowd. They goof around, too. Every one of them is a joy to watch on stage. And if you really want to fall in love, watch videos of them interacting with venue and production staff. I loved the music, but it's who they are as people that really made me love and support them. They never forget all the people who make their performances possible, including not only the audience but also the stage crew. It seems like a small thing, but it's not: these guys never see themselves as more important than anyone else. We've seen Jungkook bow 90 degrees to cleaning staff and Hobi thank the catering staff with a hug after an event he hosted. You can tell a lot about someone by how they treat people in service jobs, you know?
Most of their full concerts which are available live online are paid for. A year ago they put on a 90 min free concert from Busan which was held to promote Busan’s bid to host the 2030 Expo. Award shows are like mini concerts for BTS. The most loved ones are MAMA 2018 and 19. They will blow your mind. You can see parts of lots of their tour concerts on UA-cam. You can also see behind the scenes of those and of the making of their mvs. The rabbit hole is deep. Have fun.
This Tiny Desk Concert was my introduction to BTS in 2020 during the pandemic. I needed something or someone to cheer me up. I felt so much better after I heard this so I kept watching their MVs and videos. They got me through those rough days. I'll always be grateful. Thanks for bringing it to my attention again!
If you like more of these intimate lives, you should watch "2021 Festa Room Live" which has about 6 different snips of their songs that they perform and then "2019 Armypedia" which has all 3 of their older songs that they perform. Some of my favorites!!❤💜
I personally love the tiny desk version of Save Me more, but the MV of Save me was done in one shot and isn't to be missed. You can also watch the making of the Save Me MV video. BTS are nearly always better live 💜💜💜
Tiny Desk concerts feature artists and group from all over the world. They are recorded live with a live band either the artist's live band or they get a house band in.
I'm happy you like it! Thanks for your reaction. There's one more video I think you'll love. It's BTS Room Festa, where they sing parts of some b-sides songs. Hope you react to it, too!
11:25 RM is referring to a metaphorical spring(day), that's why he says we're waiting for the spring after the summer. As this was the summer of 2020 in the midst of covid, so we were waiting/hoping for less cold/hard time just like spring feels after a cold hard winter. Like in the lyrics of Spring Day "It's all winter here, even in August".
They are sooo good on the real stage : ) Thank you for this reaction! Here is my suggestions! - Attack on Bangtan - Black swan (from 2021 Jimmy Fallon show) - So What - Idol (from 2021 Jimmy Fallon show)
This concert was recorded in 2020, during the pandemic, as far as I know it was free for for anyone to watch. Did you not know they have rappers? They originated as a hip hop band. Another concert option is Festa Room Live 2021 which is a medley of about 10 songs. Very lighthearted and fun. Spring day is such a sad and beautiful song, dripping with grief and yearning. I dont think the MV is any better than what you just heard.
Another wonderful live performance is Armypedia: BTS Talk Show from the BTS being BTS channel, It's not suggested often but they performed their older songs.
Seems like ARMY came through & answered most of your questions so all i got to say is im Happy to finally see you react to BTS again & thanks for this great reaction! BTS are indeed amazing live, from their vocals, raps, & dance 🔥& i love to see their bond, i miss them all together sm 💜 as always ty & cant wait to see what else you checkout from them, take care!
Thank you for your reaction!! Tiny Desk Concerts are a series sponsored by PBS featuring a wide range of artists. V of BTS just recorded a Tiny Desk Korea Concert that was just phenomenal. May be react to that next? Also, BTS put out a medley of their B-sides as a gift to ARMY during FESTA 2021 (FESTA is a week-long celebration on the anniversary of their debut). Its called Festa Room Live. I think you might enjoy it since you appreciate live performances.
Tiny Desk is a fantastic series by NPR. It's usually done in their offices behind where a desk is. During the pandemic, they had musicians do Tiny Desk at Home instead, which is what this is. Their videos are definitely worth diving into. It's amazing to see some big artists do pared down and/or acoustic sets of their music. It's also really good for discovering new music to dive into as well.
Yes. Please do more live. I'd recommend their Mic Drop + Run BTS live at Busan concert. Or if you want a live with less choreography, I'd recommend their Medley live at Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour in Osaka.
This is a concert series that's been going on since about 2008 produced by NPR (National Public Radio) called Tiny desk concert series. I'll chalk that up to your having lived under a rock for a while. 😁 There have been many big name performers that have done the tiny desk concerts over the years. RM has done one for his solo work and V has just done one for NPR tiny desk Korea.
You are correct, I have been under a rock apparently! 😂 It’s pretty cool though, I’ll have to check some more of these out for sure. Thanks for sharing and supporting the channel 🙌🏼
i enjoy your reaction bts have anpanman and so what live they also have dance practice for anpanman. the live is great. and bts feista 2021 you will enjoy all this.
Hi. Thanks for your reaction. When you can, please react to BTS "The truth untold" live performance. In this song only sings the vocal line, also "Fake Love" is amazing. "Your eyes tell" (live performance) is another beautiful song, both the lyrics and the boys' voices. Have a great day.
Tiny Desk Concerts are by NPR (National Public Radio). They have now licensed an international version in S. Korea. This was recorded in Seoul S. Korea.
They lived together for the majority of the last 10 years, and though they have all been successful with their solo work they have re signed to be group again. Spring Day the mv is actually a very brave protest referring to the Sewel Ferry Disaster. Almost every scene is full of meaning. Its one you really need an explaination video for.
Welcome to BTS. These boys sing different genres, so please check out their other songs, Dope, Fire, Mic drop, On so many, they also have solo songs out there. Spring Day is a special song, many reactors have a different view of it after watching the 'Explained' version.
Thank you for your reaction and getting to know the members. If you were going to watch BTS mv for "Spring Day", I truly recommend following it up with the explanation by an Italian Army. In my opinion, that song can be interpreted in different ways, but I believe it was made for a reason and should be seen, understood, and respected for all that it is. And the Italian Army explanation (again, in my opinion) is the most detailed and accurate of explaining the correlation of BTS mv and the subject matter. I hope you check it out, it's really worth it.
Spring Day has special meaning to South Korea although BTS couldn’t come out with statement about the relationship between this song and a tragic accident which 350 mainly school children drowned due to government and commercial corruption. Spring Day explain by Italian ARMY is the best one.
Just fpund your channel. Sit back and enjoy. BTS are fantastic. Wrll over 300 songs of varying genres! Everything from hip hop, pop, rock, edm, rap, latin, disco funk, r&b... Honestly I have never seen a group put out the quality music they do. Its really incredible. Enjoy! And Ive seen them perform live. No lip syncing and they actually sound better live!
Thanks for reacting to our guys. I recommend watching a high quality introduction video, A Guide to Bangtan 7 by Taylor, to get a brief idea on who is BTS and their music & personality. It's a bit long but ARMY loves watching it with new people. No need to cut it, as it's fan-made. Also, there's a channel called Enjoy BTS More, where you can find most of the iconic live performances with English lyrics subbed. Welcome 💜
Spring Day has a tragic story behind it which you should read up on before watching the video so you understand the imagery and lyrics better. This is just a "tiny" concert, the online concerts they did during covid had over a million paid viewers. Saga's aka Agust D recent solo tour had 6 million paid online viewers (plus an arena full) for the last six nights.
You should check out new groups too like TWICE. TWICE is the female version of BTS. The most awarded girl group, The best selling kpop girl group of all time with 42M+ sales worldwide, fastest streamed to hit 4B+ streams as a female act, The most popular KPOP JPOP girl group in Japan. They are the Korea's National girl group since 2016 until now. They are also the most active group since 2015(debut year) until now because of releasing contents every fcking week together with almost 300 songs with Korean, Japanese, and English songs. And with 5 sold out world tours. They are one of the Biggest Group and the only who built pillars for JYP Entertainment. They also produced most of their songs. I recommend TWICE - Talk that talk MV if you are trying to check it out (more views, more subscribers from ONCE(Twice's fandom name))
If you wants to react to the spring day.. please dont just react to the mv .. you have to react to the explanation videa as well.. please3.. we dont mind a long video..
Jimin's vocals are insane beautiful ♡♡

There's nothing.... NOOOOTHING like live BTS. They are one of a kind. imo, their lives are SO MUCH BETTER than studio tracks. 😁💜🫶

Tiny Desk belongs to NPR (National Public Radio), not PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). One is radio, the other is TV. Just a small correction. :-)
I love Jhope's voice!!❤❤
