I think it's a lovely little palette, very user friendly, easy to clean, nice mixing palette built in. I hate the "traditional" metal tins with the flaps, they annoy me to no end.. and they rust. A tip for your palette, if you find the paints bead up you can fix that with a "magic eraser" sponge, give it a good scrub. If you can't find one of those in your location use paste of baking soda. The idea is to have a slight abrasive to take the gloss off just enough the paint sits properly. Either of those will also remove staining after use. Additionally, a fine tip sharpie can be used to write your color directly onto your paint pans so you will know what they are if you need to refill, or drop one out of the palette.
The fact that you don’t have to unwrap every single little square is awesome. The tape peeling back was genius, and the colors are absolutely beautiful.❤❤
Hi shelly beautiful video hun I wish they had this set on Amazon Australia only the glitter set I did put it in my cart waiting to see if it goes on sale.. your painting is just beautiful you done a really great job at water colouring.. thank you for sharing your honest opinion too.. ❤❤❤😊😊😊xxx
Hi Kylie, thank you so much! So glad you liked my watercoloring...I definitely have lots to learn though!! Hope the paint set becomes available on Amazon Australia 🤗💗
Can't wait to see how you are going to integrate watercolors into your coloring. I have a big collection of professional quality paints but have had enough courage to use them in my coloring books..so it might help to see you figuring out how to. 😊
Lol! I do hope I can figure it out and I will definitely share it with you all. I am thinking I would want to use them for backgrounds mainly, but I am sure they will be good for basing too, especially large areas?! 🤗💗
Those look so lovely. They looked so vibrant and creamy. Unfortunately I couldn’t find this exact set on Amazon US I hope we can get it soon. Thanks so much for sharing these. 😊
I just got this colouring book in the post today! You've made me feel braver about starting it, I have zero experience with watercolours haha. I love how your page is turning out already.
Thanks so much, glad it looked like it was easy. I was super nervous when I went it with my brush. but I am so glad I did it, first step has been taken lol !! 😊💗
I use a little travel bottle with a flip top lid, sold for shampoo or lotion, to drip water onto my paints. very convenient and much less messy than a spray, plus you can wet just the ones you want to use instead of the entire palette. It's a must have for me since I also use it to add water to my acrylic paints (they dry out over time and need to be rehydrated). Very controllable.
I am trying out my watercolor paints in my Aeppol book (vol 2). it's coming together quite good, if I say so myself. It's the perfect book for wet-in-wet techniques because of the big open spaces. Good luck and enjoy the process.
I've been wanting the Paul Reuben metallic watercolor paints for a long time! It's just that they are expensive and I suffer from"full set syndrome" lol so of course I want the set with all of the colors! But I have them on my wishlist so hopefully I can get them soon!😊
Yes, same here. I don't do the small sets haha glad I am not the only one. I had seen it for £20 less some time back....but I didn't take the plunge. I will wait lol 🤗💗
I discovered the PR metallic set is white labelled. I bought an identical set, other than the colors being in a different order and the palette being blue instead of pink, for a fraction of the price on Amazon. It's under the brand Artsy. I compared every color in it they are exactly the same.
@@shelscolouringjourney Yea I just figure if I'm going to get a set of pencils, paints, etc, then I want to have all of the colors because I'm not very good at mixing colors to make the ones I need/want!
@@waymire01 I'm a little confused (doesn't take much to confuse me lol) so are you saying that there's a brand called Artsy that has a set of metallic paints that are the same colors as in the Paul Reuben metallic paints?
You could just put the protective sticky sheet back over top after each use. Then you don’t have to go through cutting and adding all those to the bottom of the little squares
Lol yes that makes sense actually!! Don't know why I didn't think of that. I would maybe wait for everything to dry up before sticking it back on though 🤗💗
Thanks for showing, enjoyed seeing
My pleasure 🤗💗

That is very true....it does take a while peeling every wrapper off a pan!! 🤗💗
Those vibrant colors are perfect for you! I know how you love vibrant colors! I'm the same way!😊
So true! Love them 🤗💗

Sounds great! I really have to try out colouring and painting in that book still!! I am definitely intrigued to see how the paper works 🤗💗
@@shelscolouringjourney I have to say… for how I am coloring, the paper takes everything 🤓
