Again and again and again I love your content you do a great job. Thanks Aaron
Thank you sir! Striving hard on this grind to let my creativity hopefully bring some entertainment to the viewers!! Thank you thank you! Comments like these inspire me to keep getting better
We check everyday for new content . Your doing a great job keep it up . We are coming out from Vermont for the NOHVCC conference in aug . We are running an XDS stage 2 silicone tubes , blow off , will have all you have except shock therapy by then .
Thank you thank you! And yea, give me a shout when you're out this way! Follow me on FB or Instagram and just hit me up when you're out this way!!
I agree with some of the posts in regards to driver weight. You guys either need to switch drivers into each car, or weigh the drivers and add weight to the car with the "skinny guy". Also... the slower car had a windshield. That alone will drag you back a couple of car lengths at full speed. The best way to do these would to be on pavement, with same size tires and same weight of tires too. Also no windshields and make the car the same weight. That way it would be as close as possible. So maybe two stock X3's and adjust for body weight. Otherwise it was a fun video guys!
We're actually in the process of doing a myth busters episode in regards to the windshield effect on a drag race, so stick around for that! Thanks for the comment!
No clutching and that windshield you’ll loose every time. Good video thanks for posting
This is done in the name of fun! We had fun, so don't ruin it with jerk comments :) Ric will be back!!
It's interesting just how much weight difference there is between different model X3's. My bate bones 2022 XRS Turbo RR with Smart Shox was 1,830 and my buddies 2018 DS turbo base model was 1,530 same scales. That's 300 pounds you never think there would be that much difference.
If you haven’t already. Get ahold of halo locker. They have either their diff. Or he has a bunch of stock take off diffs. You could get the stock setup maybe free.
Windshield and fender flares definitely a minus for the other car & weight difference between drivers...But a satisfying feeling to see ur hard earned $$$$ at work...Great content nice to see both u guys enjoying what u do....
What about the rider weight difference? lol
I am a big fan of your video's, I follow to see what ideas you come up with next. This time, I loved the machine graphics, and how you turned them into schematics at the beginning. I couldn't believe it. It was first rate, done like a pro . I have to admit that you are very talented editor. Nice job!
No comment on driver weight, I'm sure he's heard it before. And thank you sir! Always trying to let my creativity drive me into learning new tricks!!
A A Ron job well done. Now we need to line my buggy up against yours in the bump run. UTV Shocks vs Shock Therapy. Same tune different exhaust.
Oh snap! You have Gary Fries shocks!!?? Where you at and how do we make that happen? Thanks for the support brotherman!
I am near Springfield Illionios. Plan on making it to silver lake this summer. Probably have a couple cars tuned by Gary and Tom.
Do you follow me on FB or Instagram? If not - shoot over there and friend me. Give me a shout when you come up and we'll make beautiful magic
Hit you on Facebook, I am not much of a social butterfly so still no instagram. 😂
If the vehicle we set up the same and similar weight drivers it looks like the Whalen tune would have been equal or even prevailed, 1 the windshield blocks air flow to the intercooler 2. the driver in the EVP car looks to be about 100 lbs lighter 3. I am sure the EVP car has a cat. delete and full HMF exhaust 4. clutching changes everything. So power to weight ratio and $1500-2000.00 in modifications gave the EVP car 1-2 car lengths once they switched lanes. Not trying to be mean I am a BIG boy too.....LOL
Thanks for the videos you put up, big fan and your doing a good job!
Thank you my friend!! We Appreciate the support!
Nice. The camera man was kind of all over the place on round 2 😆
Pretty clear winner on that one. Nice video.
He was, I cut 90% of it out... He was filming the grass and clouds most of the time LOL
@@ftorvideo haha!
Great content! There are a few options when it comes to tunes. Local company where I'm at is Power Tune. I haven't decided yet which one I'm going with but they all have their advantages and disadvantages. Did Ric give you the reason why he swap his shock canisters around? Haven't seen that before. Anyways great video Aaron!
Thanks for the support brotherman!! He swapped them because they looked good hehe
LOL! I asked ST about this as well and they said no gains to be had by doing this...but agree that I like the look better!
Do you know how that guy got his light bar brackets to fit with the stock xrs roof? Everywhere I see says you have to cut the side of the roof overhang off a little.
We’ll race you in aug. . We need to know where to find you though .
What are you running? And where are ya from?
If I can ask you a question, what is the movie maker u use for video? It looks great!
Thank you sir! I use a combination of things. But primarily its Sony Vegas Pro 16
nice that you are keeping it rill
You do a great job in the Vids! I wonder how much your clutch work affected the drag race results? Regardless ...your car certainly overpowered the other. Watching the stock car go through that whooped out section jarred my head at my desk! I remember when I did my FOX race setup....Nice improvement... But when I went to ST it was game over! My 2cents is the first thing someone should do is suspension tuning...Not just ant shock tuning...ST tuning! Best $$ I have ever invested in my SXS!
Thank you for the support my dude!! I believe the clutch hurt him out of the hole - but I kept pulling after 60mph where the clutches are done shifting so idk if it would have saved him. Helped, sure - not saved. And hell yes!!! ST for the win brother!
And we'll race again, he has clutching on the way
@@ftorvideo Any update on this, I would love to see it with equal clutching and tire/wheel setup.
Nice 👍 good thing you moved forward to the EVO .. and lost the HMF tuner.
It may be a little know secret, but HMF actually uses EVO tunes 😮
What exactly is done to the faster x3! In the process of looking for an evp setup.
You think it would of been that way if the other car had clutching?
Outstanding question - and we're going to answer it once he's clutched so stick around brother! I am curious though, I had a good lead on him. Not sure if clutching will make all that up.
So when’s that rematch?
Man... I'm not sure if there will be. I believe he's selling his X3... Life threw him a curve ball :(
You guys should have switched cars and ran again Nick's prob got 100Lbs on you just to see if any difference
The clutch kit makes all the difference
Cool video. Now you need to race someone with a pwrtune tune!
Absolutely!
My cousin is getting the Vivid Racing tune... Bet your balls we're going to line up
Big turbo kits from Evo is where the fun at! :)
Heck yea! Check out our more recent videos!
Well evo is just the name packard been winning them everytime
How about I get that tune. U help put it in. I buy the beer
The clutch tune?
Full Throttle Off Road Ecu. And clutches. U seem to know what ur doing. I do not. I am not a Mechanic
Hehe... Where are you located
Full Throttle Off Road midland
Contact MaxxedOut Motorsports - They'll get ya set up. They're not too far from you. I can't get in the habit of wrenching on people's cars lol... I don't want to be responsible for things that go wrong ya know? Wrenching on my own car and making videos showing people how to do it is one thing. But actually doing the work opens me up to a lot of issues if the worst happens. Jeremy at MaxxedOut will take great care of you! Tell him I sent you!
Best days to rip in silver lake ???
Any day you can! lol But the best days are non holidays. Saturdays and Sundays are usually when we go up
weight difference between drivers?
I was thinking the same thing.
Kwi for the win!
You bet! Ric has KWI weights on the way and we're going to line up again!!
You got to line up against a pwrtune machine! I've lined up against evo tunes and so far they seem inferior.
You running a pwrtune? I'm not trying to claim top dog lol, just having some good fun! I'll race anyone!
Full Throttle Off Road haha yeah I got a old buddy that runs with me and my buddy's and he is all about the evo literally has everything they offer. His machine just doesn't move yet tho... pretty sure it's the fact he doesn't have the 18 fuel pump yet. He maxed out the 17 for hp without the fuel pump tho with bigger injectors clutching intake exhaust full works. He also has a 14 mav with 22-24 pounds of boost on race fuel with evo tune clutching intake exhaust.. he basically can't do anymore without detonating the bottom end lol.. I still beat him with stage 3 pwrtune.
DANG! Sounds like your rig is a monster! I'd love to rip around with ya!
Full Throttle Off Road it's alright it's not to crazy full exhaust intake stage 4int tune running on 93 octane. It's mostly just how the tune is done when the boost hits and how.
Funny how another videos Whalen smokes evo. I don’t get people
Lol where is the real video
Tell rick to get back in his diesel race truck
🤣
Thay guy ways 3 times that skinny dude. Thays not even fair.
Mine is stage 3. I was told that was 200 hp. Evo.
stage 3r 93 205 at crank 165 at tires
Tell the guy that lost to get a clutch kit
He's going to, I think we're going to install it in a vlog too
the ecu tune at best only half of good tune up, the Whalen tune need some clutch help, you should have swapped clutches and tried again...lol
Had the luxury of racing John's E85 200whp tune tonight. I still beat him.
To be fair, he is indeed on stock clutching!
to be fair, tell them what happened when he raced the clutched Whalen 200 tune x3 car
Sure, I lost to a Whalen tuned car by about a full car length. Got it on film, and I'll be putting it in the video. I'm not trying to pull any tricks. But Im not going to get into it too deeply. Both of those cars were not an "off the shelf tune". They were both being tuned on the spot actively - making adjustments for the conditions and other variables all day long. And I know John's car was running a bigger intercooler. Moving past all that, it was really awesome to chat with those guys. John seems like a super cool dude, was nice to talk with him out from behind a keyboard!
Make more vids! 🇺🇸
You all should have switched Vehicles.
same 30 inch Big Horns? Clutching makes all the difference. Ask him what his top rpm and compare that to yours. I bet you hit 8500 rpm and he probably doesn't even hit 7800 rpm. Ask him!
Yes sir, same tires. It was the opposite really though, I was just passing 8200 when he was at 8800, at the end. I do agree Clutching is huge! And we'll see just how huge when he clutches his car!
Go figure. 8800 is quite high. KWI says 8k to 8400 is perfect for our cars. I hit 8k going up hills with paddles and 8450 on the flats with paddles. I raced a stock 4 seat Rzr turbo and now he want an Evo tune and clutch work! lol
Oh shoot I'm sorry I misunderstood you. I was saying was rpm we we're at when we let off. From 20-60mph is where you want to measure your clutching at, once over that your clutches are about done shifting and it's just engine RPM after that. KWI wants stage 3+ cars at 7950-8050 under wide open throttle in that speed range. I'm smack at 8k when I floor it and it doesn't move until I break 60mph. Ric's car holds at around 8200 in that range, so Yea - it's not surprising that I pull 4 cars on him right away. But, what people need to see is that I keep pulling on him, even after 60mph. So after the clutching is out of the equation, I still put distance between him and myself. That is truly a tuning difference
So Whalen's numbers are inflated or he is using a different dyno. But as I remember seeing online on the Mav forum he uses the same dyno if I recall.
That is the question, and I don't know enough to comment on it. I don't want to risk insulting either company. But you ask the right question
