Thanks for showing us your books. Good not to see any of the betrayal ones. That first, older gold book that said Elvis Auction, I have, as I was there at the MGM Grand Hotel in Vegas for the 1999 Auction. Parker had died and EPE had a lot of his things as well as Elvis' ranch trucks and cars and many receipts, as well as a Mercedes limo. Mine is all filled with me posting by each item what they sold for. I also went to a Jimmy Velvet auction at the Hilton Hotel in 1994. That catalogue too, is filled with me posting what things sold for. I am an auction fanatic, especially if it's Elvis. I've been to several at Graceland (forgetting what building they were in. I think an archive one) and now get one through the email that is always filled with Elvis things. He outsells all the rock stars. I also saw him through the years in Vegas, starting in 1969. As well as my city. Just getting started on your channel and enjoying it.

Carlos R. Ares is one of the BEST Elvis collectinist in South América. He is from Argentina and Saw Elvis in concert and have album signes by Elvis. He had the Elvis shop in Buenos Aires.

Elvis Week 2023 and I am sitting at the kitchen table surfing UA-cam. Just discovered this post Michelle and have greatly enjoyed looking at your books. I knew there was a lot of books about Elvis, but until I started seeing them on UA-cam channels I didn't realise how many! I have never seen those big books you showed at the beginning of your post, but not surprising, as I doubt if some of those were even exported to Australia. The UK seems to publish more books about Elvis than anywhere else in the world and they are always superb quality.
I have most of the smaller ones at the end of your post, and a few big ones like Steve Binder's stunning book on the 68 TV Special, and (thanks to you!) I now have the Elvis Treasures book. I like to read all rhe books written by people that knew Elvis personally as I think they all have something to offer with their own perspective on Elvis. I don't trust the journalists as much because they only relate things secondhand and even Guralnick can be patronising. Alanna Nash is a master of trash, and as for Albert Goldman, I wouldn't even use his book pages to wipe my backside😡

Hey Michelle I feel your pain with this heat it needs to do one that's for sure 😩😂. Speaking of hot check out your " Elvis Hot 🔥🔥🔥 Desk" looks almost as it did in the channels infancy my how its changed 😁😱. Staying on the heat vibe ( seems to be thing here) you got a smoking hot collection of books Michelle I have many of the same so I know how great they are all physical copies as well I don't do well as you know with all this digital stuff I need it in my hands or I don't get it hehe 😁. I was so surprised in fact I almost dropped hot ( again) coffee in my lap when you were a tad less enthusiastic about the On Tour set....... What a great selection of books. I have a few of those but they are scattered everywhere. I've got a couple in my Elvis corner. A Graceland book and the Steve Binder book that was my last one like you have, I love it and it's great for £25.
Someone bought me the Elvis what went wrong book. My Mom looked at the front and said Karen don't read that you won't like it and she made the person who bought it me take it back. Love your books I collect books on world war two and iv a good few elvis ones, the best won is aloha 40 anniversary of the concert it's rare and expensive now have last train the two peter g books and loads of others ,I'd love the elvis files and final curtain a lot of money I'd love it ,great seeing them ,Tcb
I don't have too many Elvis book, just a few. I do have a really nice book that I had won as a prize on the radio years ago. It's called Elvis Twenty Three Years of Photos 1954 -1977, Collectors Edition by Memphis News Photographer Jim Reid. He was the staff photographer for the Memphis Press-Scimitar. It's autographed also. 📸

What a wonderful collection, Michelle! In Holland, I used to have an unusual collection of Elvis stuff, but it was mostly sound material: vinyl records, many of which contained alternate takes, bootlegs, interviews, and so on. Although I'm an avid reader, I was never into books about the King very much because I didn't want to distort the image I had about him. I gave away my rare collection to a friend in the Dutch fanclub and much of it was remastered and is now legally available on UA-cam. Kind regards, Paul

Love your collection, and I have seen reports on the insane heatwave in the UK, so I think that covers your area too, but I busted up.when you said "hot time in Florida," and also, I had thought about starting an Elvis channel myself, and one of the names I thought of was, "Hot time in Florida," and welcome to a hot time in Florida. So many books, amazing, and I thought I had a few really good books, but yours blows mine to smitherines. I had a few of yours, the one where it had the reproduction pullouts in the pockets, like ticket stubs and so many other nostalgic stuff.
Such a great collection!! I believe I only read a very early paperback about Elvis. Never could bring myself to read any of the books those around him wrote. I am not sure I ever will. I do have a magazine with photos from the 80s I purchased in MSG. I read and also watched all his movies and concerts and the wealth of material on UA-cam. Thank you again, Michelle!
Anoula A.... I have a huge collection of books, but like you, I refused to buy the hanger's on books. I read enough of the excerpts of "What Happened" to know it was going to try and destroy Elvis. I even heard Sonny West's second book was not any better. I have heard enough bad things about this good man to last my lifetime. I refuse to add to any of their incomes, living off Elvis. Jerry Schilling is the exception. He and Charlie Hodge didn't betray him. None of the band members or singers did. Only the ones hanging around him.

Wow you have some interesting and lovely books - my first book I think was the Jerry Hopkins one - I sometimes wish I was still collecting but I got rid of all my collection when CDs started. I had every vinyl single, EP and album (only had 1 78 single that was broken!), every Elvis monthly and annual and loads of books, memorabilia (even Priscilla pillowcases from Dallas), jewellery, badges everything that had Elvis on I had to have. When they said that CDs were coming I didn't want to collect them as obviously not all of Elvis's albums wouldn't be available and that was when I decided enough is enough. I did get a few CDs of my favourite albums TTWII, On Stage, From Memphis to Vegas etc but now see that vinyl is making a come back - so annoyed about that. Thanks for showing your books 💖💖

My favorite is the 3 book set from that's the way it is. It cost me a fortune but the beautiful photos are worth it. Vicki

Hello michelle! I have 3 elvis books filled with pictures of him. I actually have elvis presley unseen archives! I got it for 50 cents at a thrift store!! A have a couple others I got for 50 cents to!! I watched an Elvis Concert earlier. It was his last concert he ever did. I cried so much. He wasn't the same elvis, but he also was the same. I know that doesn't sense but, he looked the same, he smiled at laughed the same. He sang and danced the same. But when I looked into his beautiful blue eyes. His eyes didn't sparkle anymore, they didn't light up like they used to. So many people broke his heart. He had so many people betray him and abandone him. Nothing against Priscilla, but she absolutely broke him. She left him when he was struggling the most, she took his heart, his big beautiful open heart and broke it. And she took his little baby girl too. How could you do that? But his eyes didn't sparkle anymore,, he just needed someone to love and for that person to love him back. I wish I could have been that person. If I could I would go back in time and protect him, I would love him forever and never leave him. I would never break his heart or disappoint him. I would be his bestest girl. Anyway, TCB❤⚡ I love you so much Austin butler and Elvis presley!!

I do have the final curtain one and the on tour ones that you have there. With me I just collect the photo books I not interested in the others ones by family and friends because you never know what's true and what is not but that's just me anyway great review michelle as always. TCB 4 EVER

This book has lots of amazing photos of the king of rock n roll and some great material on Elvis' movies. Just curious, do you have this book in your collection? Stay Gold, Australia's Retro Man.
I had that book Elvis World, but gave it away when I was downsizing my "library" of around 5000 books. Unfortunately some of my Elvis books were the first to go. How stupid was I😢😢

Hi Jesse, hope you see this, Michelle must have missed seeing it as she is usually spot on with her replies. I feel your pain about finding Elvis books! We have very few places in Australia where we can buy stuff about Elvis, it all comes from overseas. If I see a book online that I want, I Google the title until I find it, and that is usually on Amazon or eBay. I have to pay huge amounts in shipping from England and America, so that limits my spending somewhat.
