Kat, You did it again! What a cool project. I want to see the chain mail and knitting combined? Could you do that? Would the weight difference be to vast to work for anything? Hmmmmm you’ve got me thinking???? Loved to see how you styled each out fit! Your a very cleaver woman and love your vibe. Thank you for sharing Claudia SJI.
Oh my, I could write essays about making chain maille. I wanted to pull out all my tools, but everything is in storage as I am still living in emergency accommodation! There are so many weaves you can try and various metal finishes. It's an entire rabbit hole to fall down, but I think you would love it. Making your own jump rings is also fun. Straight knitting needles are terrific for this. The various thickness of wires and oh, just everything about it. I hope you dive deep. It's so much fun. 💜💜💜
This is so interesting thank you for sharing and I think I have a new rabbit hole to explore. I am very inspired by the knits you are wearing just not sure if my skills are there yet as I’m still a novice lol
I just stumbled over your channel and I enjoyed this little chain mail adventure so much. I used to play DSA (a German counterpart to D&D) and I got very nostalgic hearing this kind of music. 😊
I have this weird knitting and chain maille combination in my mind but each time I go to figure out measurements, I get over excited and draw up another idea 🙈😅✨
I like the ring design on top of the kerchief. I woul love the kerchief pattern. I have been looking for just the right pattern to knit for a friend that lives in a warmer climate.
I've popped my notes on Ko-Fi as a blog post but I haven't written it up as a 'proper pattern' I keep thinking about it but so many projects, so little time 🙈
Blue painters tape over the plier teeth is a jewelers trick.
Ah that's a very good idea! Electrical tape was...messy 😅
very interesting!!
This was so interesting! And I loved to see the different ways you styled that!
Cool!

LOVE the pieces you’ve made!!
Thank you so much!
It’s always fun to stumble upon a craft and find you love it. What about head-dressings or masks? That could be super cool!

Little lengths are great to size to the wrist, add lobster clasps or some such and make some pretty cool charm bracelets.
