your Audrey inspired woven blanket is so lovely and you are an inspiration to use, wear and not treating handmades like incubator babies. If her blanket was an exact likeness of her she'd camo into it and risk getting sat on!! The Zanete sweater is heavenly and I look forward to seeing all your styling iterations.
I just responded in a similar way to a prior comment, but we have to use the things, cherish them and really love them, but you never know when a moth infestation could happen or the like, may as well get all the love out if it we can!
Thank you for making this lovely video. I haven't been feeling very inspired lately and as I sit knitting on a very autumnal hot water bottle cover I felt so comforted watching this video. So cosy and calming. You have also given me an idea what to do with all the hand spun I have built up whilst learning to spin. Have a lovely day
I lived seeing the blanket inspiration and making process! So inspiring. Now to get those towels off my loom!!!
Your knitting is gorgeous!
Hi Katt! The blanket is beautiful!! Weaving seems like a peaceful craft and I want to give it a try, but it also looks intimidating 🙃 Looking forward to seeing the whimsical project ✨
The blanket and the sweater are beautiful! Xxx
Wowww great work on both the blanket and this amazing sweater!
Lovely blanket and Audrey approved. Would you do a video showing how you do the catching the flow on your color work knits. I know you explained it but I’m a more of a visual learner. Thanks
Love the Audrey inspired blanket! It looks so good in that space and she obviously approves....a beautiful, relaxing watch, as ever 🥰
Hi Kat! Wanted to say hello and that I find your videos to be so beautiful. Your backgrounds, music, editing … all just gives a warm, calming, joyous feeling. Always look forward to them, no matter what the content. I also do all the crafts so I love hearing about all your various endeavors. Btw, the sweater you made was so beautiful I had to watch that section twice! ❤
Hi Katt, thank you for a lovely relaxing video. I love how calm your videos make me feel. Audrey is so sweet and chilled to watch aswell. I love all the wonderful things you make and look forward to the next one❤
Hi Katt, it's always lovely to spend time with you while knitting. The blanket you made turned out great! I can definitely see the Audrey color story. Your ever wonderful, whimsical wardrobe never ceases to amaze and inspire me, so thank you! ❤
Oh, thank you so much for the company and kind words! I am happy it reads as a little nod to her, even though that might have cemented her idea that the chair is hers and not to be shared with the rest of her household! 🤭
Kat, I’ve got a little question. What is the purpose of the papers that are wrapped up with the blanket before it’s removed from the frame? Really beautiful piece and a wonderful homage to Audrey. Love the sweater as well and really miss when you don’t post! Nice to have you back for a bit! Yea! ClaudiaSJI
Well isn’t this just lovely! So nice to see the blanket in motion; I LOVE the colours you’ve combined together.
And lovely to see your start on Welanna, I think you’ll have loads of fun with the cables. And I might use ‘not *unnecessarily* complicated’ as the tagline for my patterns now.
Massive hug ❤
It genuinely has made such a difference to the comfort of this chair and I am shook at how much I love seeing these colours together, always evolving eh!
I'm really looking forward to a few cosy evenings sat quietly working on it and the cables are already moorish at just a dozen or so rows in! Pahaha your tagline is 'not unnecessarily complicated' and mine is 'I'm not a beige crafter' what a bold pairing we are! 💚
The blanket is beyond stunning. I love it.
Thank you so much! I'm so pleased with it, I wish I described the texture because it's truly SO soothing, a little bit of sheepiness but lots of gentle wools and silks!
Hi Kat, I am new here! Your blanket is so gorgeous, thank you for sharing your projects and thoughts.
Hiii and welcome! Thank you so much for taking the time to join in and say hello ✨
💗💗💗
That jumper is just so perfectly you!
I keep just walking around the house with it, as if it's suddenly going to be cool enough to wear it! The yarns are I'm convinced...perfect 🤭
Side quest note: I'm going to use a British wool cone (I already have, even though I'm not too sure about how it will feel because the black is much coarser) and some alpaca silk lace together (to hopefully add strength and a reduce the coarseness) to make a longer version of the socks I made for our little tights along...
I love how you just go and use precious things. I need to do that more. I have a colourwork yoke that I couldn’t put down either because I finally talked myself into using handspun for the contrast and it’s a gradient so I just couldn’t stop. You definitely made the right choice in the Yew, it’s so lovely.
Oh yes, please do use the precious things! Once upon a time I used to save everything, thinking it wasn't a special enough project or time. But a combination of working with coffee, where there's a real sweet spot after roasting before the aromatics become more dull and reading a book called Finding Yourself in the Kitchen, the way she wrote about using the special herbs, made me reevaluate things a little bit more, use the lovely things, cherish them, but don't let them be unused 💚✨
@@kattweaver Oh my gosh I have such a challenge with good food items too, coffee specifically so it's funny you say that. I"m trying to get better about that but a combo of saving it for a special time or saving it to share or it getting put away and then I totally forget I have it. My sister helps produce coffee and that's totally true.
Goodness me I want a loom. Loved seeing you again so soon! ❤❤
This video has the calmest vibe. Loved watching it. What is the name of the machine you spin wool onto? It looks like it has pedals.
All your projects inspire me.
Thanks.
Oh thank you so much! My spinning wheel is a Pipy Poly, I can't remember too much about it (I think I did a little video about it a while back) but she's from New Zealand and was handmade in the 70s!
Divine jumper! ❤ A friend can wear Icelandic prickly wool but no, sensitive people cannot train themselves to wear course yarn, I will never be able to wear anything other than a very low micron fibre.
Would you like to include crochet into your dictionary as well?
I think that'd be wonderful!
