I'm totally going to 'rise' to the occasion and try that bread with chickpea salad topping! Glad it wasn't 'crumby'! And I'll take your reaction to the choco cherry smoothie and avoid that one. Cute tank tops, Kat!
I'm glad you gave the bread a try, even though it was an expensive start up investment ingredient-wise 😆. I had a friend who tried to make it without the psyllium husk and it turned into a big pile of crumbles, but she said it still tasted good. I guess you gotta go all in on the ingredient list, but I think it was worth it!
I'm glad I got introduced to this grain, and yes, it seemed silly (and I got kind of frustrated!) that it wasn't in any of the grocery stores in my neighborhood. I learned Whole Foods started carrying Yolélé fonio in May 2020, so I'm hoping to see it soon in more local grocery stores too. This food challenge (and another Goop food challenge I'm working on now) has definitely pushed me to learn about foods outside of my regular cooking habits and explore grocery stores outside of my few local markets. I hope others who do this detox challenge might try some new foods in the process too. If you cook with fonio, I'd love to hear if you have a recipe to share!
why didn’t this blow up? this was great
5:37 "I don't think these veggies are hiding anywhere" ahahah
Holy crap, what a lot of work!! Great video, thanks!
Thanks for watching Susannah! I just watched your keto-friendly cookies UA-cam video and I loved it. The "inner eater" opening was so funny too!

.you can sprinkle nutritional yeast over popcorn and taste great on patatos.
Thanks for the tip! I'm going to try that this week- just picked up a bag of popcorn kernels.
I am surprised that Fonio was hard to find in NYC since there is a big Community of Africans who live there and Restaurants who serve it.
