The thing about Jerry's solo albums is he wanted to make more AIC albums but Layne became a recluse the last 6 years of his life so Jerry was forced to go on his own(& had drug issues of his own). This Album Degradation Trip came out just 2 months after Layne died in 2002. Also Layne was the 1 to push Jerry to sing more for AIC & helped Jerry develop as a singer. Though Jerry's solo tours is how he met William Duvall who's band opened for Jerry so Jerry got his wish to making AIC records again.
