This is kinda of topic but I want to point out that the focal point of every stories in HSR is about philosophies and I think that is what attracts people into the story of HSR
Which makes it kinda confusing since if sunday was purely in control of the dream you would think something like the flaw (misha) wouldnt happen. I mean I get that certain individuals like black swan or acheron might be able to break free from it and subtly influence the dream but I just had the impression everything else was fabricated or something

So when we first warp to Penacony we’re immediately brought into the illusory reality(which I’m gonna refer to as the daydream). Which I think it’s best to think of it as a fishing net; if Penacony is a big dream bubble sinking into the memoria sea, then the surface is reality. To create a daydream you have to make a surface bubble. This will not only increase the range of the dream but will also make sure that no one can escape. With that said we can now get to the time line and logistics of this whole thing. When we enter the net, getting stuck in the daydream, we find Archeron. This is very good because we can assume Archeron‘s nihility status means any event she’s is in or directly affects is definitively real, we can infer this from what she did to Clocks Studio Theme Park, her slash existing after the 2.2 quest. So we can make her our anchor; moving forward she sends us back to the daydream and the only thing that is fake from that point on is Misha in “reality.” Eventually we enter Ena’s dream which is when things actually become fake. When this is, is unclear but I think the window is open anytime we’re having our conflict with Sunday; before boss fight after boss fight who knows, but it can’t be any earlier than Welts talk with the dream master. Umm. Priest with Dark Clothes is pretty much typical. If anything he might look closer to a Traditional Pastor.... would be cool if he's job in STELLARON hunters is to give Blade his Funeral. 😂
I believe that all that happened in 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 did happen in our first visit to Penacony minus us meeting Misha and the Origami bird in the reverie. We were trapped as we failed to defeat Sunday, and then we repeated those events as Acheron and BS were trying to wake us up over and over.
I believe that (almost) everything that happened on Penacony did really happen. The Asdana star system was already a mix of reality and dream by the time that the Astral express entered it. Now, if the world is part reality, part dream, everything cannot be just a dream! A portion has to be "real", it simply wouldn't make sense otherwise.

I will share some of my thought on your few last questions: - first i keep forgetting to talk about this but i want to correct on 1 thing for long time already. Path is not "the collective consciousness or beliefs of sentient mortals" that is not the correct way to understanding Path imo (i don't want to do any shameless plug on someone else channel but i did made a video briefly explain how i understand path on my channel coz it would be a bit too long to go over my point on this) - When did the dream start? imo i think it start when Sunday reach his emanator form, aka boss form, meaning it start when we lost to Sunday boss the first time. My reason for this is Sunday don't need to continue the dream right after we lost, he could have rewrite everything back from the start and wipe people memory so we don't remember we lost to be able to wake up in his dream, which do explain why we have some dejavu moment through out the story coz we did do it before. As for opening with Acheron, i think she wake up first but unable to wake anyone up so she wait in the real dreamscape plane waiting for someone to get lost there, aka us, coz both Sunday one and dreamscape is still dream which still connect to each other, Acheron then slash us to send us back to sunday dream so we can wake up ourself as that is the only way to wake up without defeating Sunday first. - If i have put it into chronological order it would be something like this: (Real)we reach penacony and experience everything almost exactly like in Sunday dream to the point we lost to him the first time -> Sunday win then he execute his plan, wipe everyone memory then put them into his dream -> Acheron wake up first and go to dreamscape place -> Acheron meet with us who somehow lost to dreamscape while still in Sunday dream -> Acheron then send us back to Sunday dream -> (Dream)everything we experience since 2.0 up to being help waking up by blackswan - Why did soul of over 100k Oak members was used? for this question, i have 2 main ideas on why but it not base on pure hsr lore, some honkaiverse lore was involved: 1. To help Sunday sustain the power he was gonna draw from Harmony(yes i know he was using Order but Order is now part of Harmony so he still technically draw power from Harmony not to mention he was using Charmony Festival ritual to do it which is a ritual of summon harmony emanator). Sunday was not the true vessel for Harmony that was Robin so it can be understand that he forcefully drawing power from Harmony which will definitely take a toll in his soul. Based on honkaiverse lore, 1 of 2 most important thing needed to ascend to godhood was "Divine Right", aka the right to become god, which serve as the vessel for your god authority and power later on in the ascension. In Sunday last phase, you can see the little soul form into a halo, in older ggz "Divine Right" was usually depict as a halo, and his last phase was also call Embryo of Philosophy
I like to think that the second the Astral Express entered the Asdana Star System they entered a sort of bubble of influence that was in a state of being between dream and reality, allowing them to perceive things and interact with the space around them like they normally would without knowing they're in the soon to be dream bubble. But that in 2.2 is when Sunday essentially activates this giant bubble, bringing the Asdana Star System into it and placing anyone inside into the dream. As for the leeching of the 100k family members or however many it was, I think that was from the stellaron, cause it was inside the dreamscape so I guess Sunday was planning to use them to fuel the stellaron to power this massive dream bubble? These are just my personal head canons and speculations tho

For your question, Sunday boss we fight was emanator level(no where near aeon level but he was slowly acquiring the necessary thing to ascend to aeonhood, for example, his last phase embryo of philosophy) coz Sunday take over Robin place, who was the original candidate for the ritual Charmony Festival to summon Dominicus, an emanator of harmony. That why Robin singing in the last fight was an important moment coz she fulfill her original job as the true vessel for harmony emanator, completing the Charmony Festival ritual and drawing the harmony power Sunday was using toward her which she use to buff us and also weaken Sunday in the process
Well it's depends on the environment where one lives I believe, if he lives in a society where the majority of people keep choosing the wrong choices, then I guess I could say his 'ideal' is justified. Just like how democracy killed Socrates, if the strong doesn't become a guiding light for the weak or foolish, or worse, the strong become the guide for destruction or wrongdoings. Then society is doomed to fail or face its own destruction.
We can’t understate Gofer Wood’s influence on Sunday considering the fact that he brought both Sunday and Robin into the family and was essentially a father figure to bothof them.
I believe that there are many possibilities of Sunday making a return. The mass Dream manipulation of Order was a very serious danger that Penacony faced, and thankfully that danger is now dealt with. However, that wasn’t the only danger coming to Penacony, we have the Ever-Flame Manor plotting Penacony’s destruction, Sparkles unexplained presence in Penacony, the IPC’s relentless Stonehearts, and who knows what other unmentioned dangers. Constance and Dubra have already made an appearance, with Constance manipulating Memory in order to talk to Black Swan. And Dubra’s repeated mention of Hunger. In the video that revealed the EverFlame Mansion, when Dubra is first talked about, we see an Apple with a skeleton inside … we see this image once again in Penacony, it’s an item called “Hunger”, the best spice in Penacony. Then we have Katerina and Akasha, The Tuner (that’s his name, right?). Katerina is supposed to deal with the Preservation Faction, and Akasha is supposed to deal with the Harmony Faction. (Dubra/Elation and Constance/Remembrance) Well, the IPC is now officially arriving in Penacony, and since the Charmony Festival was hijacked by the Order, the real Harmony Faction must definitely see to it that the Charmony Festival is rescheduled asap, after all, it’s a celebration that occurs only once an Amber Era. What perfect timing for the EverFlame Mansion to finally make an appearance. Then we have Sparkle, Black Swan revealed that someone is backing her up, and has her on a mission, a mission that they might not like Sparkle teaming up with others to accomplish. And then there is the matter of the explosives buttons that she’s been passing around … for the Charmony Festival … I wonder if they’re meant for the Charmony Festival that’ll be sabotaged by Destruction, and not the Charmony Festival that was sabotaged by Order. I really can’t help but wonder, just who is behind Sparkle? With these two major dangers approaching Penacony, it’d be quite a scene for Sunday to make a return and assist Penacony in a way that Penacony gives him an actual chance to hear his case and his whole reason for … everything he’s done. There’s also the IPC’s involvement with Penacony, but … I really don’t know the first thing they’re going to do. From the sounds of it, Jade has already activated her Stoneheart, so who knows what Jade is capable of doing to Penacony right now.
I've kinda been wondering what exactly sparkle is doing tbh because on the surface giving out those buttons and pretending to someone else might just be her having whatever fun she wants (since shes a masked fool) but at the same time the fact she was hired makes me think shes has some purpose in being here. Currently my headcanon is that she was hired to act or create as much chaos as possible but im not sure who might benefit from that.
@@Maevix3142 with how relevant Oswaldo Schneider suddenly became at the end of the story, I wonder if that’s who hired her? After all, she did give Aventurine a lot of hints despite Black Swan saying “the one who hired you probably wouldn’t want you secretly linking up with other forces”. This suggests that one of the forces currently in Penacony is the one who hired her. And well, if an IPC Board Member hired her, then I’d only assume that helping out the IPC Faction is more than allowed.
Great video! I'm hoping for the redemption arc for Sunday in the next patch. It would be interesting to watch what will happen with his beliefs and mindset after the events of this patch.
Im curious what his kit would even be like (assuming hes playable). Would he still have some dream/ena powers, would the harmony leave him because of what he did. Kinda curious how that might work out
((There’ll be Spoilers regarding Chapter 35 of HI3)) I have a little knowledge about Philosophy, but I’ll try my best to intepret differently about Sunday’s view/perspective. The first question that could be related to Penacony is ‘What is Free Will’? Some in Theology would say, they are given by God to choose the ‘Right’ and ‘Wrong’, regardless of what outcomes will happen in the future. This is simply done without divine intervention and it’s just our own. Another question would be ‘What is Determinism’? This idea contrast Free Will since it is caused by the previous events that some wouldn’t dare to comprehend, so it is more likely our actions that are predetermined by history/past, and are meant to be inevitable, because they are not meant to be free. I think that’s exactly the idea of Sunday and The Family, since Penacony has fallen victim to disasters. Sunday was pessimistic about the human nature, since in his eyes, he really thought that Harmony would be a ‘one big family’. Meaning no sorrows, pain, suffering, etc. That is until he witnessed everything, suffering, war, deceit, lies. So he thinks by taking Penacony to the Path of Order instead of Harmony, they would never experience the disasters knocking before them. This also closely ties to Dream vs Reality, since Sunday and the Family wanted all Penacony to drift into slumber and never wake up in reality. But I will share one of the most interesting moments from Honkai Impact 3, which is Kevin’s view of Humanity. Welt tells Acheron about the story of Kevin Kaslana and Project Stigma, a project that traps humanity into the Stigma Spaces, becoming a singular lifeform/dreamscape called ‘Spiritual Adam’, while the forms coming from the ideas of Humanity will be projected in real life (The best Examples are Hare, Dark Seele, and the Will of the Kaslanas). It was created to prevent Humanity from succumbing to Honkai, and is part of Project S.A.V.E by Fire Moth. Kevin believed in the survival of the fittest (AT FIRST, cause we’ll get to that later), due to how he witnessed the fall of his era (P.E). Just like Kevin, Sunday also believed in ‘the survival of the fittest’ mindset. He perceives the citizens of Penacony as inherently weak, incapable of self-governance. In his view, the 'Path of Order' serves as a protective shield for the weak, a mechanism to ensure their survival. Sunday's ultimate goal is to guide all of Penacony into a peaceful slumber, a state he believes will lead to content and fulfilling life. Sunday and Kevin share a similar philosophical perspective, both drawing from the 'Birds' analogy. However, their interpretations diverge. Kevin's question to the Greek Philosopher, ’Why does the bird fly?’, is not a literal inquiry, but a profound exploration of life's purpose. This philosophical thread runs parallel to Sunday's perspective, adding a layer of complexity to the narrative. The Greek philosopher answered, ‘Some fly just to fall’, meaning regardless of one's achievements in life, there are times that one will Fail. He then added the story of Icarus, to which he mentioned that he would achieve his goal by soaring across the skies and falling so someone would surpass him for the goal they could never reach. It is like a future generation surpassing their predecessors, and that is what Kevin thinks of. Sunday presents us with the scenario of his sister carrying the robin bird. Robin told him that he should fly to be freed, soaring up in the sky. However, Sunday presented us the outcomes, such as it will die if he is freed, and suggested that it should be caged. It’s like Red Pill and Blue Pill but with the analogy of birds, symbolizing our choices (or maybe close to Free Will vs. Determinism type) for the outcomes of the situation. And the way he presented, I guess the reason why Sunday wanted all Penacony to follow the Path of Order is because Harmony without Order comes destruction, and Sunday doesn’t want his people to experience suffering, that is until Cocona’s quest proved otherwise. The stark contrast between Sunday and Kevin is evident in their acceptance of future successors. Kevin, in his philosophical understanding, acknowledges the inevitability of someone surpassing him in the future. In contrast, Sunday’s mindset is rooted in the harsh realities of life, striving to shield people from hardships, even those that may arise in the distant future.
I think he changed when Robyn was shot. She is probably in a comma and tbe only way for him to see her and talk to her again was to put her in tbe dream. And he thought the same was the best for everybody, to live in a dream escaping reality
About your first confusion I’m pretty sure that except the flaw in the dream which is misha everything that we experienced was true. That’s BS who say that after she tell you that you were inside a dream in a dream.
Could you talk about the chat between Acheron and Firefly where Firefly said Acheron no longer had a role to play in the script? Regardless if the whole journey was already a dream or not, I can't explain how all that fits into the story because she played an important role in the end. Thanks!
I kinda picture elios future seeing ability as just elio seeing as many strings of possibilities and he just picks out the handful that might manifest into something he wants. Alternatively theres this idea that the future is kinda set and elio likely sees the pre-destined future but introduces the stellaron (which might be able to change fate) at key moments to push fate into another direction (one he might want), Firefly actually mentions (iirc) that before the trailblazer/mc, elios plans only revolved around locations or events that had a stellaron already in play so my guess is that the predefined future was one where acheron had no further part to play but because the MC was there it changed. Just a guess though 😁
About the second that must be the same reason. I mean it was explain by BS and Acheron just after you wake up in the rift between dream and reality. I think if you check this part you can understand better in no time.
What I'm confuse about is How is all character in Dreamscape can use skill or even Adventurine to use his corner stone? They're in dreams, how does it works? How come adventurine corner stone become in reality too? Still can't grasp the Dreamscape and reality thing... How does it connect one and another? so people didnt die in dreamscape but teleported to the original dreamscape, and the can be just woken up from the dreamscape. If there's crime in dreamscape, the bloodhound can just arrest / woken up the people who committed the crime in the reality world (AKA -> Adventurine) why the hassle searching into the dreamscape. The real Adventurine is sleeping in the dream pool

That why Robin singing in the last fight was an important moment coz she fulfill her original job as the true vessel for harmony emanator, completing the Charmony Festival ritual and drawing the harmony power Sunday was using toward her which she use to buff us and also weaken Sunday in the process
Well it's depends on the environment where one lives I believe, if he lives in a society where the majority of people keep choosing the wrong choices, then I guess I could say his 'ideal' is justified. Just like how democracy killed Socrates, if the strong doesn't become a guiding light for the weak or foolish, or worse, the strong become the guide for destruction or wrongdoings. Then society is doomed to fail or face its own destruction.
We can’t understate Gofer Wood’s influence on Sunday considering the fact that he brought both Sunday and Robin into the family and was essentially a father figure to bothof them.
I believe that there are many possibilities of Sunday making a return.
The mass Dream manipulation of Order was a very serious danger that Penacony faced, and thankfully that danger is now dealt with. However, that wasn’t the only danger coming to Penacony, we have the Ever-Flame Manor plotting Penacony’s destruction, Sparkles unexplained presence in Penacony, the IPC’s relentless Stonehearts, and who knows what other unmentioned dangers.
Constance and Dubra have already made an appearance, with Constance manipulating Memory in order to talk to Black Swan. And Dubra’s repeated mention of Hunger. In the video that revealed the EverFlame Mansion, when Dubra is first talked about, we see an Apple with a skeleton inside … we see this image once again in Penacony, it’s an item called “Hunger”, the best spice in Penacony. Then we have Katerina and Akasha, The Tuner (that’s his name, right?). Katerina is supposed to deal with the Preservation Faction, and Akasha is supposed to deal with the Harmony Faction. (Dubra/Elation and Constance/Remembrance) Well, the IPC is now officially arriving in Penacony, and since the Charmony Festival was hijacked by the Order, the real Harmony Faction must definitely see to it that the Charmony Festival is rescheduled asap, after all, it’s a celebration that occurs only once an Amber Era. What perfect timing for the EverFlame Mansion to finally make an appearance.
Then we have Sparkle, Black Swan revealed that someone is backing her up, and has her on a mission, a mission that they might not like Sparkle teaming up with others to accomplish. And then there is the matter of the explosives buttons that she’s been passing around … for the Charmony Festival … I wonder if they’re meant for the Charmony Festival that’ll be sabotaged by Destruction, and not the Charmony Festival that was sabotaged by Order. I really can’t help but wonder, just who is behind Sparkle?
With these two major dangers approaching Penacony, it’d be quite a scene for Sunday to make a return and assist Penacony in a way that Penacony gives him an actual chance to hear his case and his whole reason for … everything he’s done.
There’s also the IPC’s involvement with Penacony, but … I really don’t know the first thing they’re going to do. From the sounds of it, Jade has already activated her Stoneheart, so who knows what Jade is capable of doing to Penacony right now.
I've kinda been wondering what exactly sparkle is doing tbh because on the surface giving out those buttons and pretending to someone else might just be her having whatever fun she wants (since shes a masked fool) but at the same time the fact she was hired makes me think shes has some purpose in being here. Currently my headcanon is that she was hired to act or create as much chaos as possible but im not sure who might benefit from that.

After all, she did give Aventurine a lot of hints despite Black Swan saying “the one who hired you probably wouldn’t want you secretly linking up with other forces”. This suggests that one of the forces currently in Penacony is the one who hired her. And well, if an IPC Board Member hired her, then I’d only assume that helping out the IPC Faction is more than allowed.

Im curious what his kit would even be like (assuming hes playable). Would he still have some dream/ena powers, would the harmony leave him because of what he did. Kinda curious how that might work out

I have a little knowledge about Philosophy, but I’ll try my best to intepret differently about Sunday’s view/perspective.
The first question that could be related to Penacony is ‘What is Free Will’? Some in Theology would say, they are given by God to choose the ‘Right’ and ‘Wrong’, regardless of what outcomes will happen in the future. This is simply done without divine intervention and it’s just our own. Another question would be ‘What is Determinism’? This idea contrast Free Will since it is caused by the previous events that some wouldn’t dare to comprehend, so it is more likely our actions that are predetermined by history/past, and are meant to be inevitable, because they are not meant to be free. I think that’s exactly the idea of Sunday and The Family, since Penacony has fallen victim to disasters.
Sunday was pessimistic about the human nature, since in his eyes, he really thought that Harmony would be a ‘one big family’. Meaning no sorrows, pain, suffering, etc. That is until he witnessed everything, suffering, war, deceit, lies. So he thinks by taking Penacony to the Path of Order instead of Harmony, they would never experience the disasters knocking before them. This also closely ties to Dream vs Reality, since Sunday and the Family wanted all Penacony to drift into slumber and never wake up in reality. But I will share one of the most interesting moments from Honkai Impact 3, which is Kevin’s view of Humanity.
Welt tells Acheron about the story of Kevin Kaslana and Project Stigma, a project that traps humanity into the Stigma Spaces, becoming a singular lifeform/dreamscape called ‘Spiritual Adam’, while the forms coming from the ideas of Humanity will be projected in real life (The best Examples are Hare, Dark Seele, and the Will of the Kaslanas). It was created to prevent Humanity from succumbing to Honkai, and is part of Project S.A.V.E by Fire Moth. Kevin believed in the survival of the fittest (AT FIRST, cause we’ll get to that later), due to how he witnessed the fall of his era (P.E).
Just like Kevin, Sunday also believed in ‘the survival of the fittest’ mindset. He perceives the citizens of Penacony as inherently weak, incapable of self-governance. In his view, the 'Path of Order' serves as a protective shield for the weak, a mechanism to ensure their survival. Sunday's ultimate goal is to guide all of Penacony into a peaceful slumber, a state he believes will lead to content and fulfilling life.
Sunday and Kevin share a similar philosophical perspective, both drawing from the 'Birds' analogy. However, their interpretations diverge. Kevin's question to the Greek Philosopher, ’Why does the bird fly?’, is not a literal inquiry, but a profound exploration of life's purpose. This philosophical thread runs parallel to Sunday's perspective, adding a layer of complexity to the narrative.
The Greek philosopher answered, ‘Some fly just to fall’, meaning regardless of one's achievements in life, there are times that one will Fail. He then added the story of Icarus, to which he mentioned that he would achieve his goal by soaring across the skies and falling so someone would surpass him for the goal they could never reach. It is like a future generation surpassing their predecessors, and that is what Kevin thinks of.
Sunday presents us with the scenario of his sister carrying the robin bird. Robin told him that he should fly to be freed, soaring up in the sky. However, Sunday presented us the outcomes, such as it will die if he is freed, and suggested that it should be caged. It’s like Red Pill and Blue Pill but with the analogy of birds, symbolizing our choices (or maybe close to Free Will vs. Determinism type) for the outcomes of the situation. And the way he presented, I guess the reason why Sunday wanted all Penacony to follow the Path of Order is because Harmony without Order comes destruction, and Sunday doesn’t want his people to experience suffering, that is until Cocona’s quest proved otherwise.
The stark contrast between Sunday and Kevin is evident in their acceptance of future successors. Kevin, in his philosophical understanding, acknowledges the inevitability of someone surpassing him in the future. In contrast, Sunday’s mindset is rooted in the harsh realities of life, striving to shield people from hardships, even those that may arise in the distant future.
I think he changed when Robyn was shot. She is probably in a comma and tbe only way for him to see her and talk to her again was to put her in tbe dream. And he thought the same was the best for everybody, to live in a dream escaping reality
About your first confusion I’m pretty sure that except the flaw in the dream which is misha everything that we experienced was true.

Everything was already in a dream yet also reality, its a blend.
Drawing the line on what was a dream element and what was reality is what threw me off but maybe 2.3 epilogue might provide some further clarity

I think the ability to see future is unstable and lack accurate when the event relate with acheron
I kinda picture elios future seeing ability as just elio seeing as many strings of possibilities and he just picks out the handful that might manifest into something he wants. Alternatively theres this idea that the future is kinda set and elio likely sees the pre-destined future but introduces the stellaron (which might be able to change fate) at key moments to push fate into another direction (one he might want), Firefly actually mentions (iirc) that before the trailblazer/mc, elios plans only revolved around locations or events that had a stellaron already in play so my guess is that the predefined future was one where acheron had no further part to play but because the MC was there it changed. Just a guess though 😁

They're in dreams, how does it works? How come adventurine corner stone become in reality too? Still can't grasp the Dreamscape and reality thing... How does it connect one and another?
so people didnt die in dreamscape but teleported to the original dreamscape, and the can be just woken up from the dreamscape.
If there's crime in dreamscape, the bloodhound can just arrest / woken up the people who committed the crime in the reality world (AKA -> Adventurine) why the hassle searching into the dreamscape. The real Adventurine is sleeping in the dream pool
