- Here is a quick video to teach you how easy it is to make fabric yo-yo's using the Clover yo-yo maker tool. This makes quick work of making your yo-yo's The traditional way can take a lot of time. This tools eliminates the pressing and goes by so fast. Once you try your clover yo-yo maker you will be hooked. I absolutely love mine. I won't make fabric yo-yo's any other way now.
The ruffle onesie shown in this video is on a separate video tutorial. It should be ready 2-3 days after this video is uploaded.

I have watched three other tutorials on how to make yoyo's and none of them showed how to hold the fabric down in the back. Thank you for doing a great video.
Great video!! My mom was making a Yo Yo Blanket but pasted away before she completing, so I wanted to finish it. I have never done this so I am hoping this helps me finish her project!! Thanks.
that would be so awesome to finish a project she was working on. Good luck
I’ve never made yo-yos before, but I want to do some hand work and this is one that I’m looking at because I have some projects in mine. Anyways, as another comment or said you’re the only video that has shown that the fabric on the front side needs to be held down in order for the raw edge to go under. I am really glad I found this video. Thank you.
What a great idea, going to try it. Bought the unit but never had to use it. Now I have a quilt that has three to do I dug it out and went to UA-cam to find out how. Thank you for the great demo
my granddaughter will love the yo yo maker she always wants to do a project with material. another winner yolanda
Hola!!!!
Never knew there was a yo-yo maker - so glad I watched your demo! :-) Thanks for posting.
so cute! I can't do much beyond hand sewing, but I will definitely give this a try. My daughter prefers flowers over bows for her hair, I think she'd love these :)
I’ve made a queen size yo-yo quilt by hand without the yo-yo maker and I never had to iron any of my edges. I actually believe doing it without the yo-yo maker is faster because making a running stitch is so quick.
Agreed! Finger press as you go.
Thank you for this tutorial. I have 4 sizes of yoyo makers and couldn't understand how to make them without thinking I was doing something wrong. In the 80s my mom made yoyos by hand, and would use them for projects. I thought the Clover makers would help me make the yoyos easier.
yes, we used to make them also by hand... my mom used to make quilts using them
this is really cool. looking forward to the onesie video
Thank you for showing that...it is so much faster than the other way. I'm going to get one of those! Thanks again.
Love it!

One more thing, I make yo-yo w/odd shape scrap fabric - from my garment, quilting, craft sewing projects. The size of yo-yo decides on the size of scrap.
the way you are describing is not at all how I have seen "traditional" yoyo's made.
nope, I find its' easier using the little template.. makes it go faster.
