    No your not the only person that reacted to this song. But your the only one i noticed that extensively listened to R&B soul neo soul contemporary r&b disco electric r&b whatever in that atmosphere. Very deeply is because of your viewers suscribers. A lot of other reactors have a broader audience because they listen wide variety genres of music. It depends on the viewership and what you want to cover. The popular mainstream songs will always be popular requests and most reactors covers the same songs. But it's good to see the B side get rediscovered as much as the A side because those are truly the forgotten gems. Keep up the good work everytime you listen to these songs your in class session

    One of my all time favorites ❤
    No JJ, this was written by Jerry Fuller, released by Johnny Mathias in 1972 and by Al Wilson in late 1973. It went high on soul and r&b charts. Was #1 on Billboard hot 100 in January 1974.
    It's okay to recognize something you know of today but sweetheart the background and history is of the utmost importance.
    What a great tune.
    I came back to listen to the song and you again..

    The drums you’re tryin to name are called, ‘congas,. Could hear them on a lot of Marvin’s songs from the What’s Goin On era, but are also a main part of Latin music. Maybe you’ve heard Miami Sound Machine with Gloria Estefan do a song called, ‘Conga!’.

  • @zanohoriamazo1
    @zanohoriamazo1 3 роки тому +1

    Yo, your reaction was priceless! ‘No way, no way......😂’. The hand drums are congas, much larger than bingos which are much more higher pitched. I’m really an o.g. @ this point, so I did grow up with this, like between middle & high school. I felt like a big influence on him had to be Johnny Mathis, who is even from a previous generation, but still recorded & performed into the ‘80’s. Somethin about the vibrato & crisp delivery of his notes, certain words, etc. You can hear Johnny on the theme song for ‘80’s sitcom, Family Ties (not Matters), with fellow quick vibrato artist, Denise Nicholas. They also recorded, Too Much, Too Little, Too Late, I believe in the ‘80’s. I only recall this song by Al Wilson, not even sure what his other work might sound like.
