I see a few comments about the shoe reviews getting boring. Well… for me not so much boring but there are several brands/shoes I’ll probably never even look at. That being said, I will still watch and enjoy. Seth is probably doing a lot right now between being injured and helping love on a new baby girl. Dude needs our support and prayers or happy thoughts or whatever good vibes you can send him! Thank You Seth for sticking with us even when your plate is full.

Everyone always thinks you need to always have content after content after content. I don’t think they thought maybe Seth is just taking a break with his injury as people were constantly saying “you need to rest and take a break”. Now it’s “this is getting boring” blah blah blah.. They also might not think the family might want to enjoy summer , have a newborn and just want a break from the the content and cameras.

QD: Next race is a 50k trailrace, Just decided to put more speed sessions in my training plan. I' am allready 7 weeks in my 17 week plan. Thought speed was not do important for an ultra but I feel it is necessary and I miss the sessions.

After the Chiemgauer 100K ultra trail on July 29 I am in my second low volume week. Next week I'll start a 10 week training block for my 2nd sub 3h marathon attempt in Linz/Austria on October 23 with a tune up half marathon on October 2 in Salzburg/Austria. GREETINGS FROM LINZ/AUSTRIA!!!

I want to love Adidas road and trail shoes so bad but it seems they can't keep up with all the other shoe brands right now. I recently got the Speedgoat 5 and La Sportiva Cyklon for my trail runs.

I have the Adidas Terrex Speed Flow, with the numbers 225 on the side. Its a very very good shoe capable of both longruns and tempo runs or racing. I think it has a better upper than Salomon or Hoka, very good grip and is a little more forgiving/bouncy than for example a Salomon. It has suprise me because it almost seems like a racing flat for trails and dirt/gravel, but can go the distance. I would compare it to Fuji Lite 2, but it has firmer midsole and a more race type upper. Not shure which I would choose for a trail half marathon. Best part was the price of about 75 USD.

QD: Next Race is the Solang Sky Ultra, a 60k Himalayan run with almost 4500m of elevation gain in October. The training is on point, August is all about sustainably balancing milage with elevation gain while building strength.

QD: next race is in 11 days, Wyoming Range 100 miler 🤘🍻
Training got sidetracked a couple times; got covid in late May, then tripped on a rock in late June and wound up with a bone bruise in my right knee. Everything seems to be back to working at full capacity now, so we'll see how it goes! First time running at altitude, with a high point of 11,300 and average elevation of 9000 feet!

Great video! I've had about 20 trail runs in this shoe and 4 trail races, fits like a glove and is comfy, great for hard pack, loose technical up and downs and was pretty good to in wet/muddy conditions. I can't fault it 10/10 for me good on ya Adidas!!!!!

QD: Training for a half marathon, but next race should be the Great West Chase 10K (Local race) in October to kind of “tune up”, and it’s also Halloween themed.
On the topic of Adidas, Lightstrike takes a while to break in. Every pair I’ve owned takes nearly 40-50 miles to break in, and I’m a heavier runner. I’m not understanding what Adidas doesn’t use the Repetitor foam more often.
On the topic of pinching penny’s, I just picked up a pair of Adidas Boston 10’s (which I love) for under $50 from their website. Got them in the Boston Marathon 2022 colorway. I know many people don’t like the Boston 10’s, but when they are broken in, they are a pretty darn good shoe.
