I have both Speedgoat 4 and this Terrex Agravic Ultra. For a heavy runner like me, terrex agravic ultra works much better, it gives me a lot of energy return and springiness. Whereas Speedogat 4 is too soft that it absorbs all of my energy, it is like running on a mud, all energy are absorbed.
Hey. How do you find this shoe on the road? I usually run about 4 miles on the road to my trail and then 4 miles back so I would like my trail shoes to work well on the road in addition to trail
I love this shoe. Have approx 180km in mine, these will continue to go for miles. People complain about how hard and stiff this shoe is but the harder and tougher the conditions the better this performs, not a soft ground shoe by any means, I like the rocker of the plate and the forward “push” it seems to give, at least for me. This is nothing like the other plated trail shoes I’ve tried such as the Hoka Tecton X or either version of the Speedland, all these plated shoes are completely different. This is a 1000 mile trail shoe.👍😎🏃♂️
Nice review! I think the description you gave of the types of trails you used this shoe on, along with video footage of one of them, was likely very helpful to your viewers. I would have appreciated a mention of the price you paid (ala EddBud's "earth credits"), as well as a slide thrown onscreen near the end listing 3-4 other ultra trail shoes to consider (with prices), similar to how SJD does. You seemed almost to be ready to mention other options, but then left it at a more general mention that there are a crowded field of other trail shoes on the market (which, while true, wasn't very actionable).
Just got these for a deep discount and did my first run in them. Honestly really liked them! Probably the best feeling first run in a trail shoe that I can remember (I've had Speedgoat 4, many Salomons, Peg Trail 3). Happy to hear that they get even better with more time in them.
I have several versions of these trail shoes, basically all same except some are lighter / heavier. Love them, especially the lighter version but with the latest foam. Also have the Goretex version. The version that Kofusi is testing is one of the heavier versions, 299, I prefer them around 200 or so
I ran my first ultra trail run in this shoe. The only thing I dislike is the upper. It tends to dig on the surface of my foot. I wear custom orthotics which are thicker. Now I bought elastic laces. I hope they help.
Waiting to see if the Olympus 5 is worth trying (Altra told me it's releasing July 1), but I've always had my eye on Adidas' trail shoes. Hella clean - may have to eventually try one of these instead of picking up the new Pulsar Trail Pro. Also waiting to hear when the Mont Blanc BOA is coming out...

@@m3phist0 I always run with this shoes on road actually lol. The lugs are a bit too much for road, but still fine for me
@@Mychannelbandung good to hear thank you for the reply Nugraha.

Wearing my kofuzi T-shirt watching a kofuzi video 💪
It’s easy to take out the stock insoles with thin boost insoles. This will increase the comfort. I recommend inov-8 Boomerang.
Hi! Which insole would you recommend? Thank you

We can't believe you put 100 miles in this tank
Didn’t Tim Olson break the PCT fkt record in these tanks?
There are certainly other trail shoes I prefer, but in the right trail conditions, I found the shoe enjoyable enough
Love that “Michel Bay shot” with the rotating camera / selfie stick. Beast! 🐗
thanks!
Goggins like moment at the end 💪 💪
Looks durable that’s for sure!

Good morning ko
Yo
Great review Kofuzi. A solid long distance/daily trail runner. As the lugs are 4mm deep how do you think it would work as a road to trail shoe?
It would not be my favorite road to trail shoe. The lugs are pretty dense
@@kofuzi thanks for the response mate. I'm also looking at the Terrex TWO ultra parley if you have any thoughts on that shoe?
@@kofuzi hi! Which shoe is best for road to trail? Thanks

Boston 11 is 160.00 USD, LOL! Prices getting out of control
hello will you review new balance hierro v7?
It’s a shoe I perennially intend to get to but somehow never do. Hopefully this year 🤞
I hated this shoe until I broke them in and boy I ended up with a Rolls Royce. Just bought a second pair.
They’re on deep discount. Great value for those who enjoy the shoe
All trail stores should be either water resistant one water proof. Just in case.
Hahaha “agile ski boot” doesn’t sound too comfortable.
