Same. I love it! And even though she doesn't like the Hydrate, it has been the ONLY moisturizer I can use when I'm doing the Retin-A without it stinging my skin. They also have 2 cleansers. One without fragrance/color and the one she mentioned. I dunno. I prefer to watch reviews from people who aren't competing or selling their own stuff. Just me though.

@Lee Lee it doesn't look, that's exactly what she is doing. And u know the sad bit, her products don't work (at least not for me). Bought her collagen boost satchets (3 months supply) not only did it not mix/dissolve properly in water or juice, it did NOTHING to my skin. Her Inzincable couldn't even prevent me and my kids from having face sunburn. Kids magic did nothing as well. I laugh because the hype she gives her products over other products/brands that actually work is laughable 😆

Obagi does work really good!! And it works fast! I’m black and it does wonders for my skin. I’ve used it for years. It’s not vegan though so the ingredients are not like DR. V. The clear, blender and retina ( can get from your doctor) works!!!

It was hard watching other videos and trying to apply the advice to my skin type. I appreciate that you recognized a need and you fill a needed void. Yes if your using hydroquinone for a period of time one may suffer with the effects of rebound. However, when using the obagi nu derm system and the pigmentation issues have been resolved one should be then place on a
maintenance program. Hence the obagi nu derm Fx system comes to play. This contain tyrosinase inhibitors which will help suppress further pigmentation from occurring. Stating that the Nu derm system (and hydroquinone in general) is not good for people of colour is a bold statement to make, when excellent and life changing result can be archived when monitored closely.

    • @MuhammadTahir-kd3jo
      @MuhammadTahir-kd3jo 2 роки тому +1

but is Fx actually effective enough to keep the results as good as with Rx? i used obagi nu derm with excellent results but had to stop it because of HQ in it, now want to use it again for long term for anti aging as well, but now sure about the long term effects of it

Wow, am I glad I found this channel. I live in Trinidad and Tobago, and I went to a dermatologist here who worked with Dr. Obagi and sells a lot of his products. She suggested I try the Blue Peel to treat my hyperpigmentation, and the only reason I didn't do it is because it was waaaaaaay too expensive. I could have bought a car with that money 😂 But now that I know its too harsh for my skin, I'll be looking at other alternatives

I wish I knew about your channel a year ago. I was recommended to use Obagi Nu-Derm system for acne and pigmentations. I watched a lot of UA-cam videos and reviews! Of course they were not women’s of color. According to them it was the best. After using it for a few days what I had experienced was a nightmare. So I called the website and they told me to keep on using it. According to them, your skin is supposed to react that way at first and then work the way it’s supposed to!!! I’m 25 and I look like 30. I still have pimples and pigmentations but with more burned skin!

I start reading a lot about information of products lately, due to the big issue of marketing from the brands, and wasting money not knowing the formulations, even I am not chemistry knowledgeble person, I do understand really well, I appreciate all your time and explanation, I am really far away from your country, deciding on virtual consultation, (mind change the way to do things), we are in a world were the money is the priority and lots of brands are selling over price products without good ingredients. I got tired of this due to the reason, listening from a doctor side and reading have been key for me, still struggling on this however getting better. Thanks!!!

    Dear Dr Rattan
Visited your London clinic last year and underwent 3 sessions of HP treatment which reduced it by around 90% after suffering damage from laser hair removal. I've however got rough textured skin which I don't know how to resolve, have blotches of whitish marks that look like hypopigmentation but could be burn scars from the laser device?
Currently using tretinoin 0.05% since December, I've noticed improvement but not sure if that is the best treatment for this textural/blotchy skin issue?
Would greatly appreciate your input... :)

The whole routine did remove a brown spot on my left cheek but no success for the one on my right. Overall, I would say, my skin improved, cleared and smoothen, brightened but it was very drying on some parts of my face. I have a quetsion. My mom is a Woman in color and my dad has very fair caucasian skin. I’m very fair but my dermatologist told me that I have mixed skin. Some areas are very white and some spots/areas are dark. Especially on my chest. He told me that it’s extremely important for me to avoid the sun and that I have a rare skin type because it’s mixed. I have got several spots/pigmentation on my face, and my skincare specialist told me to use obagi or filorga, but because of my fair skintone I think they assume that I’m al Caucasian. Should I use products for colored skin or should I use more for fairer skin tones? What do you recommend?

You said not to use hydroquinone for brown skin what about coffee, what about tea, what about broccoli, what about wheat cereals. I believe all these are consumed by skin of color especially Indians and all these contain hydroquinone, would love to hear your thoughts

I will be starting a biologique recherche, skin care routine soon (weaning off of retinol), would love to see your review as you stance on ANA'S are that they could be very harsh on skin of color.
Also, best toners for daily use? As the biologique recherche is a exfoliating toner.

I used the obagi nu derm system the prescription one. Big mistake. At the time I used it. It got rid of my hyperpigmentation etc. However it sensitized my skin so much to the point where now anything I use irritates my skin. Even for example vitamin c or facemask! Even If i go into the sun my skin just gets hyperpigmentation now. My skin is now worse than it has ever been.... and I've no idea how to get it back to normal. Can you advise at all? I literally cannot do or use anything at all on my skin now without irritating it and making my hyperpigmentation worse. Cant even use things like vitamin a or anything. Obagi is not for skin of colour!!! But seeing as you're a doctor for skin I'm hoping you can advice on how I can try to get my skin back to normal and how it was prior to using the obagi nu derm system

Can you address body skin and not just the skin on our face.
Since young I have had very dry scaly skin on my legs and dry skin overall on my body. My face on the other hand is oily..
Never been able to wear clothes that reveals legs or hands without being extremely self conscious. What can done to completely ‘cure’ this.
