Of course 😊 I have cards in my PC that dropped 50% or more since I bought them but I’ll never sell! This is really advice for people who made investments, or collectors with duplicates they’re trying to decide what to do with. Thanks for watching 🙏
It was difficult to find! I managed to get mine off eBay and paid a lot for it 😅 You can save a search for the title of the book and get notifications when they become available! Good luck 🤞
I bought 2 and sold one 🫡 If I can get more I will and will sell them eventually but otherwise the last one I have now is for the PC and I’ll be keeping it for a long time. It’s crazy how much they’re selling for!! Thanks for watching bud 🙇♂️
I will never sell my cards Im strictly in it for the cards and the arts. My kids will be inheriting thousands upon thousands of cards I wish I could show all the cards I've accumulated over the years
Yeah, it should and I agree! I’m just showing how, if you have made investments, this market is a good time to sell. You can likely buy back at lower prices later if you want. It just depends on your strategy! My personal collection isn’t going anywhere: I’m not selling that 😊
You’re welcome to that approach 😊 There are certainly items I consider part of my personal collection I don’t intend to sell, but the stuff I bought as investments specifically, or just some duplicates or extras I’ve picked up along the way, are looking like they’ll be leaving me soon. I think the context of why you bought and are holding them matters! Thanks for watching and commenting 😊
I think it helps to have return goals and not get greedy as well. Just because you sold before the peak doesn’t matter, it’s the net gain you make. If you bought a box for $200 and sold for $300 then it went to $500 that’s not a loss. Furthermore, taking smaller gains to put the money into more product will likely win long term.
yes it is a loss, a majority of people thought like you back in the early 2000s. They sold their 1st edition base set boxes for like $400 and said “Oh hey I quadrupled my money so I’m good!” But now they’re all kicking themselves thinking “If only I wasn’t so impatient I’d have literally $200,000 per box!”
Yeah, I think everyone wants those 10x or more gains! But what I’ve seen is that if you don’t sell into a booming market, you will likely see your potential returns drop and stay down for years while you wait for the cycle to repeat itself again. My conclusion is to take selling during a booming market seriously. A 100% return in 2 or 3 months, in the current market, may become a 20% loss or more in another 6. We don’t really know. So locking in a sure thing feels pretty nice right now. Thanks for watching bud!!
I hope people do sell everything fearing a crash! 🙏 I remember that’s what made me BANK with my EX era boxes. Everyone else sold their. I held mine. And now they’re kicking themselves and I still have sealed EX era boxes worth 6 digits 😃
I have been thinking about this as well and agree with you! It’s the only sensible explanation I have for the 4 year cycles we’ve been seeing. Otherwise, it doesn’t line up with any logical Pokémon timeframes, like the 3 year game cycle or 5 year anniversary cycles. Thanks for watching!!
That’s really up to you! I generally don’t speculate on singles and, at this point, that card has already appreciated a ton. It’s a fantastic card that flew under the radar for too long. I don’t expect it’ll get reprinted, but if the market corrects it should correct with it. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching 🙇♂️
I’m glad you like it 😊 I actually made it for myself!! I gave one away to one lucky winner when I hit 1,000 subs and plan do another hat giveaway eventually… but probably not for a bit. If there’s enough interest in it I could definitely look at a small sale too, so I appreciate you commenting about it 🫡
@ haha I think it would be helpful to those of us who also like to collect cardboard but are under no delusions about what we are really doing. Maybe in the future if you have a link to an online store, I would be down.
Totally! You can absolutely choose to make that 10 year+ hold a reality and, if the trend continues, it should look great 😊 The time between booms can be a bummer though. Just stay strong and stick to the plan! Thanks for watching 😊
Those kinda of under appreciated cards tend to play out well over the long term! There are tons of gorgeous IR and SIR cards you can stock up on 😊 From a pure investing perspective, those cards don’t usually outperform the obvious chase cards though… But, if you like them of course you should buy them! Thanks for watching 😊
Beware of youtubers who tell you to sell out your stuff or tell you not to buy specific sets. Thats the only thing you should all be aware of. They work directly with some of the suppliers and long story short, youtubers with TCG content try to mislead you into buying dumb sht and literally try to convince you that the actually good sets are horrible ( so they can buy it out and make money on). I firstly didn't notice that, but many youtubers made it obvious.. I figured out through the years that its all just their money-making/marketing-controlling scheme.
You should definitely do your own research and be careful out there! Hopefully my perspective on the cyclicality of the market helps you see through the general narrative and make the best decision you can with your collection and investments. Thanks for watching 🫡

just sell it. dont be stupid. take the loss or wait 7 years till you break even

Hold when the market is high and buy when the market is low!!
Over the long term this strategy should play out very well assuming you are willing to ride the waves of the next cycles 🫡
@tcgbuyersclub I pay cash for all my cards and only pay retail. No debt is obtained collecting! I can ride out any dip in the market!
I didn’t sell but I traded my 2 regular ETBs (paid $160 CAD) for 6 Silver Tempest ETBs worth about $420 CAD.
That sounds like a good trade. Congrats!! And thanks for watching 🙏
