"You have a T-Rex?" "Say that again." "We have a T-Rex." That whole scene is nigh on perfect. The acting, the composition, classic Spielberg and of course Williams majestic score.
Once again a perfect version of one of the best John Williams soundtracks. This orchestra keeps an outstanding reputation. Congratulations to the musicians, conductor and technical crew. The concerts are amongst the best in the world.
While I really, really highly appreciate the quality on this channel you should never praise something as “perfect’, especially when there is a short audio issue on the very first note of the piece ;)
@@abavariannormiepleb9470 exactly, but you don’t get all the likes unless you make a stupendous comment. And that’s what’s important for an attention seeker like Alex.
It’s beautiful, but it’s far from perfect. There’s a lot of timing issues throughout. Their emphasis isn’t right, and it takes away some of the emotionality and grandeur of the piece. They start to get it right three quarters of the way through this performance though.
As a professional musician who has played for the SSO (Sydney Symphony Orchestra) & joined the LSO (London Symphony Orchestra) recently i know a little bit about music & i have followed this Orchestra peformances for over a decade & the DNSO are a excellent Orchestra in it's own right. This performance is to the equal of the original movie soundtrack. Their French Horn Section is superb & is a credit to the Orchestra. I hope to see them live in concert one day. They are a credit to the Danish general public & the Conductor. Bravo!!!
Well London is not far from Copenhagen, just take a flight and you are there. Copenhagen is also an amazing city. I was there recently for the PhantasymphonyII, travelled all the way from Berlin. It was well worth it.

I was 4. It was the first time I walked into a movie theater. Seeing that beautifully rendered sauropod along with this musical score is such a strong core memory even after 30 years. I'd give anything to relive it.
What I've always loved about this orchestra is I can pick out an oboe, violin, chello, or even a triangle even when the entire orchestra is playing. All instruments are in perfect balance and no one group overrides any other. I've never been able to do that with other orchestras, but this one is consistent regardless of the piece. This was a great performance.
@@DjTonioRoffoThis. I in no way want to discredit the orchestra, but when it comes to live vs. a video like this, it’s really up to whoever is in charge of the recording to balance out the different parts of the orchestra. And they did just as an amazing job as the musicians
This should’ve been played, for Michael Crichton’s funeral when he sadly passed away at age in his sixties. Rest in Peace Michael Crichton, you were the author who made children, teenagers and adults excited about dinosaurs coming back to life again! Edit: You were the most famous science-fiction writer Mr. Crichton!
Jeg er japansk gymnasiestuderende. Jeg elsker virkelig deres præstation. Jeg kan ikke gå til Danmark nu, men at lytte til deres præstation er min store drøm. Tak for den vidunderlige præstation
Its so insane what some notes on paper can create when the right people and the right instruments will be combined. And how the films defined a picture where one tone give goosebumps all over the body. Thank you for the incredible Concert
I have played in bands for most of my life, but the DNSO is one of the best I have ever heard. They make everything sound magical, and they all love what they do.
From a pure listening standpoint, this is, to me, one of the most enjoyable compositions. And this orchestra does it extremely well. Bravo John Williams! Bravo Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Ludwig Wicki!
I've played the flute for 20+ years, and I just want to say that it brings me joy watching musicians sway their bodies with the music! ❤ Adds an extra layer of immersion in my humble opinion.
my goodness! outstanding brass section. i only single them out because i've heard more performances of this piece than i have fingers, and those horns blow me away harder than even the original recording. i'll always be curious what the old masters would've thought of this piece. so rich in melodic and thematic complexity, and the orchestration weaves and expands ideas between the sections so brilliantly. this is honestly my favorite orchestra piece along with mozart's requiem.
Just imagine what it must have been like to go to the theaters back in the 90's, not only to treated with something as amazing as one of the best dinosaur movies of all time, but also to be met with this amazing and timeless score! There's no wonder Jurassic Park managed to capture the imagination of generations. :D
In 1993 at the time when JURASSIC PARK was released I was chronically ill and unable to work due to ongoing pain. I mostly laid around at home and hurt. But I managed to get myself to the local theater to a matinee to watch this film and found it so compelling that for the next several weeks I went back every day to watch it over again in daytime matinees for like $4 admission each time. For many of those showings I was the only member of the audience. It's a great film, a great Joihn Williams score, and so involving that I was able to get my mind off my illness and escape the pain for a couple of hours each day. I still think it is the best film of the entire JURASSIC PARK franchise and the JW score for it is my favorite among all of his film soundtracks and I have many favorites of his.
After seeing the John Williams concert in Vienna in which the orchestra played this theme flawlessly, this Danish Orchestra performance is also beautiful and brilliant as the Vienna version. Bravo!!! Love it. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.
the vienna version was like an old master at the height of his skill and control. this was the pure joy of youthful discovery. not quite flawless, but the enthusiasm and the outstanding brass section more than made up for it.
Seeing Galaxsymphony 2.0 was one of the best concert experiences i ve ever had.. If you have the opportunity to see this orchestra then you should do it.. Koncertsalen is an epic building build to enhance the sound in every corner.
John Williams should conduct them himself. Perhaps one day we'll be that lucky! Wouldn't that be great. This orchestra are the best at representing John Williams ❤️
My favorite soundtrack since I'm 4 (I'm 34), which I listen almost twice a month since then. This is an absolute masterpiece, even beyond his movie soundtrack purpose, as a symphonic piece. The beginning of this wonderful piece of music could be summarized with one word : humility (in face of the Nature). And for the rest : majesty. Thanks for this moment, I've goosebumps everywhere and tears coming up every time 🥲
John Williams Kunst und Können bleibt unerreicht unter den heute lebenden Filmkomponisten. Immer wieder eine wahre Freude! Danke, dass es dieses Orchester für uns Filmmusiknerds gibt.
0:51 I like this interpretation; in John Williams’ original interpretation the strings at the beginning of this segment are a bit more prominent than the wind instruments, here it’s almost reversed making this recording pretty unique (have been loving the Jurassic Park score since the movie’s release).
Wonderful! Fantastic! ... it's like they're doing something magical and mystical ... like conjuring some mythical beings from thin air and calling them forth in earnest starting from 1:24 ... then the mythical beings start answering back starting from 1:36 five times ... Excellent! This is the best rendition of the Jurassic Park theme music that I have ever heard.
We're playing thus music amongs other By J Williams and I am glad today, our musicality is not far behind this performance, can't wait for it! I am so grateful for being musician and getting ti play this music
another one of my favorite soundtracks, superb rendition as always, besides the soundtracks from star wars and indiana jones one of the best scores from John Williams in my opinnion
