- Welcome back to Main Assembly! Today we are doing a long jump challenge where we must build a vehicle that has no air controls and must roll down the ski jump using gravity only! Whoever can accumulate the most distance jumped after 10 jumps wins!

Take on the role of a drone with the ability to design and build robots for your everyday needs! Find unique ways to overcome various challenges in singleplayer or jump into the Sandbox and craft and play alone or with other players.
Challenge yourself and your friends to create the most exciting looking robot using a freeform crafting tool and modular parts! Change your robots color palette to make it your own!
Put your personal touch on your drone through different paint jobs and collectible cosmetic items earned by playing the game!
By using the nodes in the powerful visual programming interface, you can set up controls for your robot. After getting the hang of it, you can dig deep into it and use Sensors to make logic for different types of automation.
Your robots will take damage if they crash, fall, or take a hammer to the face! Advanced destruction systems enable bending chassis and damage that effects robot behavior. But don’t worry, you can iterate to improve and respawn your robot as many times as you like.
Join in on the multiplayer fun to create and play with others in an open sandbox environment. Load any robot you create in singleplayer or build completely new ones under the watchful gaze of your friends.

Best parachute: limited mass, everyone has the same materials, whoever takes longest to fall to the ground wins. Maybe do similar to this: 10 attempts, time altogether, longest single fall and so on.

Kosmo built a lift generating body, it's real. There are aircraft with no wings
yeah, even normal aircraft are shaped in a way to generate lift from the body. a prime example would be the 747.

Nice work guys:) the flying physics are tough to figure out lol. When things work, it's tough to figure out why. And the same when they don't work. Practice, practice, practice I guess;)
Upward or downward curvature also has an effect on lift. So do all interior (hidden) surfaces. Convert chassis pieces to mesh if you don't want them to have an aero effect. Fom the devs, here's the basic equation for lift in MA:
PanelType * PanelArea * PanelCurvature * PanelAngle * Speed
So, flat inner panels create drag? Kinda the way gaps internally in Trailmakers create resistance?
@@ThatDomGuy Yeah, every surface on a build creates drag of some sort except mesh and maybe boat hull material. How much drag and in which direction depends on the equation.

The rules could be that you all have to build planes that can ram or attack with melee weapons, or custom whatever weapons you can come up with, and then fight them against each other. It would be a very unique game to play. :D
probably have to go one on one tournament style since the first two people that Ram might just crash and the other just wins lol.

Multiplayer Main Assembly Idea: Stunt Plane Race, Not Glider, actual Stunt Planes and see who gets the highest stunt score, with the highest possible speed doing a stunt

@everyone sorry for the confusion, I meant like say a upside down version of kosmo’s shoe but custom, and with jet engines. Wheels allowed but at high speed the vehicle has to hover over the ground with only aerodynamic push. So imagine a car, but when going fast it hovers a bit
Another idea, make a plane that cannot fly upright, has to fly sideways or upside down (build off seat orientation)

Have you ever considered remaking some of the things you made in trail makers and scrap mechanics in main assembly?
You should build gliders you can control and have jets that are programmed to only fire for a set time and play horse
