HOW AMAZING IS THIS TINY STUDIO LIGHT???? What would you use this light for???
Lighting my small home studio? Love to see a video on that Sidney, selfishly of course! Great video.
Thanks for watching!
Am Kello from Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 West Africa, I would like to be your friend.
any hot spots with the stock reflector?
That Yo mom joke came out of nowhere. Had me spitting out all my coffee with laughter hahahaha
Bahaha! My life is now complete
Ouu Shirley does look better on camera yass
I just picked up the 200d with an angler 26" light dome! I may pick this up as a fill or hair light
Great review and such a great video. What a light. Quick question, do you know if this light can handle the Aputure Softbox 6090? I see it can hold the Light Dome SE really well.
I subscribed when he said “this is a picture of your mom” 😆
Bahahaha! Thanks for the sub!
Greetings, great video. thank you. I would like to know I that light can light us a couple during their vows?
This little thing looks great! Can't wait for an RGBW version!
It’s soooooo amazing!
Which exact Sony batteries can power these for wireless use? & this means you’d need to charge the batteries separately before putting them to use on this light correct?
Sweet little light. I would love to give it a try.
Dude your energy is so great. Thanks for this!
THANKS SO MUCH!!!
Good video, thanks bro. God bless you! 👍🏻🔥
You can power with any Sony batteries ? I know there are all different kinds
What batteries are you using ?
I would definitely use this light, i like that it can use two NP-F Batteries I have four of those batteries already that i use with my atomos ninja.
Fun and informative! Thanks! Couple of questions... I assume it will run on just one battery? And any idea how long it will run on those 970's at 50%
You actually need to have both Sony batteries for the light to be powered. As far as longevity, I'm not exactly sure but at least a few hours.
Thanks for the video! How does this compare to the new p60c / p60x? Which one would you pick and why?
Well, the p60x/c are RGB light panels, where the 60d/x are bowens mount COB lights.
From Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 West Africa, I love your videos so much it inspires me a lot.
Game changer 💡
Wow! You’re an artist! The likeness is impeccable!!! 😱😁
Thanks!
oh god i just bought the 200d and now i want this as my fill light
It would be an AMAZING fill or hair light!
Ohhh me likey! It's so tiny, it's even tinier than my Alien Bee strobes (which are already small).
Could you tell me, if they turn on when recieving power via cable? And if yes, do they turn on with the same intensity as they had when last powered off.
I have recieved an answer and yes, it is possible to leave them on "on" and it will light up once it recieves power at the same intensity as before.
Any plans to make a comparison video with your regular light? It looks nice, and I would love to see if it is better or at least the same for UA-cam hobbyists.
Seems to work really well for streaming and whatnot. It's a good one person (maybe two) light.
the mom joke got me lmao. Subscribed.
Cool haircut !
Can you charge those npf batteries through the adapter included in the pack?
No. Bring your own batteries and chargers.
great video! But, does anyone have experience, with just how long (roughly) it would work (at 100%) with V-Mount batteries? I'd use 98 and 150WH Bebob batteries.
How do you make it point down on a light stand?
You thread a stud into the light and the stud connects to whatever tilting receiver is mounted to your stand. You could certainly thread it right onto the top of stand but you wouldn't have any articulation or movement up there.
100% power with 2 npf 970. How long will it last?
Haven't tested the longevity, but I would say a few hours at least.
What brand is that battery plate?
The plate is made by Amaran but I think you're asking what kind of batteries attach? It takes Sony NP style batteries. If you have Atmos monitors you may already own some.
The intensity of light compared to tungsten light?? Will it be full power in both daylight and yellow light? how many hours of led life ?
It's going to have less overall power if you dial it all the way back to 2700K. That said it's still about 60% brightness of the light at 5000K. I'm approximating.
what’s that app
Is it strong enough to have used for your key light to film this video?
100%
please, one question
Amaran 60d or 100d ?
the differences are only in the power and the mount system ?
from the Aputure website the price difference is equal to 1$ !
can you help me ?
thanks - nice video as usual
60d is a great studio light to start with!
the difference is that you can mount bigger soft boxes etc. on the 100d. The 60ds mount isnt sturdy enough for that
I have a panel as a key light and plan to pick the 60X or the 100X. As you said the price difference is nothing, but the 100 series have better output but are significantly bigger.
Still waiting for a good answer to this question. The 100d dosnt have a battery option and that's the biggest hurdle to overcome. Having a small compact size and not be battery compatible kinda makes the lux difference between the 2 not much of a tradeoff for the added flexibility
@@ChevaughnHibbert I like the flexibility of being able not to be attached to Plug and size
Had to hit the like button for including a picture of my mom.
Hahaha! Thanks for subscribing!
Nobody has mentioned how long it last on the sony batteries. Looks like you have the bigger sized ones, so whats the runtime on them?
With two 970 batteries in, at full power it’s approx 1hr 40 minutes
Ahahah your mom too dear Sid 😆 so funny!
🤣🤣🤣
My Led Amaran COB 60x has a V-mount problem, after 30% it turns off completely. I've done several tests with no solution. Anyone else with this problem? Is this a situation that Aputure did not warn about using Batteries? Now 2023.
Nice cheeky review dude
Bahaha, I had to 🤣
Might have missed it, but is there a fan? If so, how loud? If not, did this little guy get hot while testing?
Yes, but it's pretty quiet!
"And this is picture of your mom" -> made me subscribe
Haha, thanks so much!
Lol! Your mom! This video is so… lit. But in light of this new video, is that fan cooling system quiet enough for an in-home studio while recording something like you’re doing?
Haha, momma jokes are always funny
And yes, it’s absolutely quiet enough
You had me at the Sweeney Todd reference (in memory of Sondheim...)
You got the reference!!!
Excellent review Sidney. U gonna get me in trouble with the wife, so tempted
Bahaha!
OK, so what sort of exposure can you get with a typical set up? Lets say, just as an example, you attached the light dome mini, placed that 3 feet (approx 1m) away from the subject and set the light to 50% and camera to 400ISO, what would your aperture/shutter speed be and how long would a pair of 970's last? That is a real test and gives us an idea of a real world scenario.
I have the X. At a distance of about two feet, using a 25'' softbox with double diffusion, I had the light set to 25%. I put a grid on the softbox and had to bump it up to about 45-50%. 1/50, 2.8, ISO 250 & 1/50, 5.0, ISO 800.
@@conservovirtus5796 thanks that confirms it’s not powerful enough for most of what I do, but if they bring out a more powerful version I might consider it. Thanks for your help, I appreciate you taking the time to experiment to get the figures. Cheers 👍
You didn't actually show us a comparison vs what you currently shoot with, which is in the same price category, so no, I have no way to properly judge whether to get one or not.
That was NOT a pic of my mom yo 🤣🤣
if they made it usbc powered it would be perfect
Why? lol. USB C wouldn't deliver much power, no? USB C seems very counterintuitive. I like the NPF battery plate plus the option for D tap
My mom has eyebrows, thank you very much!
BAHAHAHA!
✌...
your mom joke really get me laugh
Haha, glad you enjoyed!
Good video!!! However, has anyone else noticed the green color shift? no-one talks about that, so I wonder if it is just me. I shot this light and a 120d side by side through 1/2 silk diffusion and the 60x was shifted very green compared to the 120d.
60x or 60x s? Wasn’t the s model released to fix things like this?
i used to love your channel, you’re a funny guy, every video you post is just an ad.
I personally like his channel more now with his awesome gear reviews. But to prove your point, I just picked up two of these little lights 😂
Thanks so much! Stayed tuned for some giveaways too!
First!
Picture of your mom LOL!!!
@@PaulFeinberg I felt a bit cheeky today LOL
Great video as always bro! Weeylite has some competition! The pricing on this is great for the size and all.
So affordable right!??
@@SidneyDiongzon So crazy $169 for the daylight! Lightdome SE and this light would make a perfect streaming desk setup and be fairly small!
It isn’t the thumbnail… just sayin 😅
I'm a monster that way
I was hoping for a review, not a blatant ad. Skip.
Lol
