Meeden also makes an identical colour wheel shaped porcelain palette for under $50. No lid. So I printed off your colour wheel to keep track of what paint I put in it. I put it on a thin board and laminated it. That is my lid!
Yes. They do. I have recommended that one to many of my students. This rectangular one is just a little less expensive and doesn't take up quite as much room. So it is also a great option. Have a great day.
Meeden listened to their customers, and they started offering their Quiller-style palette with a lid last year.
Yes. I recommend that more affordable option to all my students.
I like the palette you're showing, and liked it so much that I bought two of them. I use one for watercolor and the other for gouache. The only problem I have with them is they don't come with a dust cover (lid). I've covered them with cardboard and paper sheets, but they always slide off.
I actually prefer to use plastic wrap as a cover. Even on my Stephen Quiller palette (which comes with a cover) I use plastic wrap. The wrap creates a better seal and keeps my paints moist longer. Just an idea. Have a great day.
@@KrisDeBruineStudio Thanks for the idea. I'll give it a try.
Wonderful!!
Interesting! I’ve been having a hard time finding porcelain palettes that have mixing areas at my local art supply stores. I’ve been making do mixing my gouache inside my tiny 7-well flower palette! Good thing I like working with a limited colour palette, I guess. 😅 Thanks for the recommendation.
Meeden has a number of wonderful ceramic palettes available online. I have at least 7 of them. Amazing packaging as well!
You're welcome. I hope you find something that works well for you.
a porcelain dinner plate or quarter plate is best😊
Yes. That is also a great option. Thanks for sharing.
When you measure things it be cool apears in cm too , here in Brasil we use metric system. I'm from the team to beleave all pallete plastic or ceramic should have a lead to close when isn't in use or to dog fur and dust protection.
I don't have yet a ceramic pallete but I stole a plate from the kitchen!!!
Thanks for the feedback.
Yes here is Germany we also use the metric system.
P.S scientists also use the metric system
Thanks forshowingthe nice smaller pallet.
Greetings from Christiane Berlin Germany 😊😊❤
Yes....I know. I'm just in a 60 year old habit of using imperial. Also, the Amazon product I was referring to, has it in inches. So I was wanting to be clear which product I was referring to. Thanks so much for watching and responding.
Thanks for being so active on this channel. I love seeing your comments.

Sounds good. I wish you the best on your watercolor journey. I didn't start painting again until in my late 50's!!!
Only downside is it has no cover😞
I actually prefer to use plastic wrap as a cover. Even on my Stephen Quiller palette (which comes with a plastic cover) I use plastic wrap. The wrap creates a better seal and keeps my paints moist longer. That's my approach. I hope you find it helpful. ~Kris
@@KrisDeBruineStudio thank you for the reply. I would like to see how do you do it in daily bases? Do you mean the stretch food wrap?
I have a video on this topic. Watch this - ua-cam.com/video/lyFPLelKmjU/v-deo.html
