Bravo Maestro Corporan! As always most gracefully performed with all the elegance of the Baroque era.
1:28 bass clarinetist found a small snack on his instrument
HAHAHAHA
Bravo!
Yes,Piccolos are loud, However they can tone it down and allow everyone to be heard. Also Star Fleet Academy needs a school orchestra like this one.
0:53 that piccolo needs to chill
Great performance though!
Very beautiful low brass
hahaha i was at 0:50 when i red this. I cricked myself up lol
3:37 English horn came in early 😭
my compliment, just beau ti ful. thumb up to all the players .
Come on trumpets lets blend and not stick out like sore thumbs. And lets put a lid on the piccolo by having him listen to others and blend. Intonation folks, please. But all in all a very enjoyable performance and thats what counts.
Where’s the recording of your ensemble playing this? I’d love to hear it
He’s stating what everyone hears. I’m certain Professor Corporon was not happy with this performance and heard the same problems if not a hundred billion other problems than you or I can’t even hear. He’s beating the baton pretty hard at them which means they likely were having a rough night cooperating as a band. Even the best ensembles in the world aren’t perfect. That doesn’t excuse them from making glaringly obvious mistakes. Professor Corporon can only do so much to get musicians to play well together within a short time. My guess is that this piece only got two to three rehearsals max before the concert, which would explain the blending and intonation issues. It’s such a shame because this performance would’ve been exceptional if they had fixed the obvious problems first. Oh well. No band is perfect.
@@gregorydavis7457 Boo hiss. These folks deserve to be sitting ducks because they release all those CDs that bands are supposed to emulate at contest. Sounds different live and unedited, eh? "You can't do better" isn't a legitimate reason to squash criticism of trends that are literally ruining music education.
@@jchomedog2887 Those are explanations, not excuses. "They would have been better if they had been better." Thanks, Little Helper.
Captain Picard?! So this is what you do with your holodeck time...
Piccolo sticks out way too much. Beautiful regardless.
Too loud? Ha. YOU try and play that ridiculously high part softly. The fault is with the arrangement.
Just for fun. This to me is the theme song the 18th Century.
I love UNT's band but the piccolo is very loud
