  • In this video I remove all the parts from this old Bianchi and apply boiled linseed oil to the inside of the frame.

Reynolds 520 is essentially 4130 chromo. It’s perfectly fine material, but not really high-end. It should serve you well.

thank you for that, I also found some redit messages that were saying the same.

thanks Brian! but no, I do still have my little collection, but I've mostly been wearing my Garmin 245 for the past year.

возможно ли, что возле переключателя место под кнопку звонка?

I usually pour very hot water on the bottom bracket in order to "soften" the area, so it can be unscrewed easier.... but yep, it's about leverage

hmm I never thought of that, could be something to do outside with a pot of warm water.

In Italy you see some really horrible cheap Asian bikes with the Bianchi name like the 240 DSX but it seems in many export markets its all higher cost bikes selling on Italian heritage. It's just marketing I guess. That looks like a nice steel Taiwanese road bike, I had a similar Giant road bike with what looks like the same hideous stem, maybe its a Giant bike underneath which is a Taiwanese brand. It's an Italian brand with a British tubing brand unless you look a little deeper. That said its still nice to own a brand with some heritage even if it is a brand slap.
Looking forward to seeing this built up into a working bike.

thanks for this comment Bonzobababa! True! Italian brand, English brand tubes, made in Taiwan and sold in the USA. Maybe also designed in Taiwan, who knows.
