- Route video starting from the Up Pass Loop at Colchester to Pitsea Up Siding Via Tilbury.
The machine used was Colas rail Unimat Tamper DR73908 on a transit move from Cambridge To Pitsea, I took over the driving from Manningtree but was not able to set up the GoPro till Colchester when it was safe to do so while the machine was held for the passing of other trains.
This is a home made video and all information might not be correct so this is not to be used as a replacement of any official route videos or training aids.

Wonderful video - thanks for sharing! I used to live in Grays, my dad worked in Tilbury and I now live in Colchester so its nice to see many old familiar sights.
@undefinedfunction Glad you enjoyed this I am hoping to make more around the London area next year.
@@AngliaCabRides-vv5cki look forward to it, thanks!
Nice one Matt, I need to learn Barking to Pitsea, so this is a massive help 👌🏻
All uploads are gratefully received, regardless of journey. Thank you.
@tonywise198 Thank you for watching and am glad you enjoy them
Excellent, once again. Thanks very much.
@phwbooth glad you enjoyed it
Another great video, not seen second half of route before
@martyn6792 Thank you
@@AngliaCabRides-vv5ckwhat is the line that merges from right just after you turn off Norwich London line
@martyn6792: the line merging from the right at Woodgrange Park is from Gospel Oak to Barking.
Just started watching your vlogs and really enjoying them, I know those are train vlogs but being from the North it would be good if you could tell us something about the building's and sights you pass.😊
@robertbrierley7083 Thanks for watching and glad you are enjoying the channel, When I started this channel it was to help myself and other drivers with learning routes in are area of work but it has far surpassed this now and I have been asked this a few times now so I will have a look and see what could work
Another great video, thanks! Still keeping fingers crossed you may record the South Tottenham curve.
@ds1868 we will get there eventually!
At 1:01:22 something happened. Did you reverse?
@RobertSweet-nw4tm We had to change ends
Where is this at 1:04:20. Has this junction got a name?
@RobertSweet-nw4tm Forest Gate Junction
West Midlands Train @59:33?
@WainKerr yes it is, Me and the conductor I had think it might of been to Ilford to have its wheels turned
Ah the Shenfield Shark has gone! Just had a Google and not a happy ending sadly. RIP Shark 🦈 😢
@nikkicrow6922 Yes they moved it down next to the car during a night possession for it to be taken apart there and taken away as it couldn't be moved on the main line which is a shame
Shame been there for years.
But a discontinuity at Forest Gate. We suddenly find ourselves somewhere else on another line. Not a continuous journey. Disappointed.
@RobertSweet-nw4tm am sorry you are disappointed but I do believe the route is true to what I said in the title
There is NO discontinuity. It's simply the driver changing ends to get onto the GOBLIN.
Is it necessary to go into freeze-frame mode every time you superimpose text? Destroys any sense of continuity and detracts from the video, which otherwise seems fine.
@captainjohn787 Thank you for watching as I made this to help with my route learning of the routes and the job entails mostly possession work so I did the pause so I am able to clearly Identify signals that protect level crossings as this can be a SPAD hazard within a possession but I do apologise for the first one onto the main line I don't know why I did that one
Great video,but the sudden stops are really irritating.
@taxineil1 Yeah I don't know why I did it when first pulling onto the main line at Colchester but as for the pauses at the signals I have done this as a trial on this video as these need to be known for drivers that work in Possessions and having a pause at these points lets it stick out more and take note of its location and distance away from the Level Crossing but depending on the feed back I get from them will decide if I keep them or not for the next video when I make it
agreed, I almost head-butted the monitor the first couple of times..!
When they designed this they didnt have the drivers comfort in mind did they, i would imagine if you didnt have ear protectection you woyld be deaf within a week. 😀
Yes it's not as nice as the passenger trains, you can feel the bumps in the track
