      It feels nice, although sometimes it doesn't really work. If after sidelining for a good while, you go to a tf and get a penta because you're now fed, the team is like "see?! you only had to do that from the start!" lol. If you break every tower in the game, unless you break the nexus many people do not realize, it's like the towers just fell from the wind or something (I say that partly by experience, being a new player I hardly noticed when towers fell as I was just trying to not die while fighting again and again). I will prove them wrong by climbing, hopefully.

    Why I stopped playing enchanter sup in low elo:
    I found that playing engage tank sup like Leona allowed me to capitalise on enemy mistakes a lot easier.
    When the enemy Lux mis-position's, I engage, we kill. If enemy adc goes aggro but their sup can't follow up because they're in fairyland 5000 miles away? Engage, they're dead.
    Enemy Sup gone mid for no reason? Push, dive enemy, get kill, live laugh n love.
    But when you are playing enchanter sup? Oh..my ADC just got hit by 10 skills shots because they have no idea how to dodge. Guess I'll heal them so they can continue to lose hp for no good reason.
    I feel stupid wasting my time on high winrate Andy's just because my monke brain said big wr = good

      For me personally i noticed that climbing out of low elo felt the best with high roaming-potential champs like pyke, bard, janna or alistar with hextechflash - then high carry champs like zyra, xerath, seraphine - and lastly in this prio (or simply when needed comp wise*) i will pick tanks like your leo example :).
      Woudln't go with enchanter before hitting platinum (EUW) or dimaond (NA) because then people will know how to play with an enchanter sup.
      EDIT: Also woudln't recommend the roaming champions though before you understand wave management and backport timing/timers - also never overstay/leech xp so your lanes won't loose out if you visit and can't force a kill.

      Depends on what the enemy botlane is playing, tank supports usually dont have heals or shields to protect teammates and can't to anything unless they go in so if i pick Leona against lane bullies like Draven and Brand, my adc is pretty much going to play whole laning phase 1v2

    The ending few sentences are the most important of this entire video. Playing to learn is way more important than playing to win. Even if you do go on a lucky win streak and peak at a much higher ELO than you normally play but you learned nothing while doing it, then you'll drop right back down to the ELO you started at. It takes time to learn and many people only focus on the short term goals of getting slightly higher ELO than they are now. Instead of learning the game, they just coin flip every game hoping for the skills they currently have to carry them through to winners queue. No one in challenger got lucky winners queues matches all the way there. They studied the game and learned how to optimize their decision making to make their gameplay consistent and adaptable. If you're actually hard stuck in low ELO, then you either don't care about improving, are being lazy, or aren't honest about your own shortcomings and are letting your ego stifle your progress. If you can learn to do that with league, then you can learn how to improve at anything else as the learning process not much different than succeeding at real things in life too.

      Couple months late on this reply but this is absolutely why you can have someone that's played 1000+ games in a season and they've barely climbed. They're just playing to win, not playing to learn. I'd much rather have the person who wants to learn vs the person who just spams games thinking that at long as they win more than half, they'll climb.

      @@TruBluLew23 Lol, I only posted this 2 weeks ago, but I agree with you. I try to only play 1-3 really focused games a day and review each of them the next day before I play some more to notice and fix issues without the bias of my emotions clouding my judgement. Patient and consistent improvement means that eventually my skill will surpass my current ELO and I'll rank up without even worrying about it.

      This advice is legit, these kinds of trivial things like video games actually pose really good challenges to improve not only your skill at the game, but your mindset as well; the latter truly helps further your insight and understanding of how to approach obstacles, hindrances, and setbacks, which then proves vital when it comes to facing real life problems. Mindset is everything, especially in tilt factories like league 👍

    For the first 90 seconds my instant reaction is: "Just leave the lane when pinged, it's usually not worth tilting your team mate over things when you might not be able to carry 4v5". That said, I usually don't like taking lane farm when I see my laner is already on his way like this (I usually only push it out when they are dead or too low/recalling) so I also don't know when it is the correct play to make.

      gp just lost a whooping 3 cs so basically 100+ exp and 50+gold it's fine "taxing" there if you want to carry and see that you are the better player, also you shouldn't always push the lane if your laner is dead, it depends. If the lane is on the verge of freezing for your laner you don't hit or you just adjust(there are videos out there explaining freezing conditions) if the wave slow pushs towards the enemy tho its good pushing the whole wave for it to eventually crash and deny enemy freezing after

    Nice ! I call it the game of decisions. It often wins games in low elo at least, because both teams often contest for drakes. And a lot of times my team does that while we are clearly in a disadvantage in teamfights ... so we would go drake, loose the fight, loose the drake as well .. often my loosing team will even do the first strike in the drake while the enemy team just waits for that ... then they loose HP to the drake and will be ambushed by the enemy team ... which i got really sick off. So when drakes come up and in know we're no match for the team ... i just keep my teleport up for that moment. When i see the drake massacre starts i TP to a pushed lane and take down a tower or two. I've won a lot of games in which the enemy team had more kills than my team. Because after all: the Nexus is the goal ! Especially worth it when you manage to take down inhibs that way.
    Because that forces their team to split sooner or later ... which is when you create 5 v 4- fights. Which you will even win quite a few times and start to get a lead over a formerly dominant team. Since super minions can easily push towers and lanes.

    • @vanjamenadzer
      @vanjamenadzer 2 роки тому

      My personal favorite is when we are late for drake, jng flashes/dashes into the pit blindly, they get the drake, gangbang our jng and then the rest of my team follows jng and they die too and then spam ? ? ? on me for backing away to defend mid tower and write how if I went in, we would win... Low elo players are legit brainless people. I always hate to climb from silver to high plat because it's so fucking frustrating. Worst part about all of that is they won't listen to my calls or advice... I was once like that when I started two years ago, I thought that I can kill enemy laner when I'm 3 kills and 2 levels bellow. But it only took me few months to pick up the pace. No idea how can anyone be playing this game for more than a year and not understand literal basics. I played duo bot with one guy I met in ranked and he would average 15 deaths per game as a LEONA. He would constantly go into enemy adc or supp even though they are 2-3 kills ahead... It took me some time to check his op.gg and I noticed he is hardstuck bronze since s3. Dude plays the game for almost a decade and is hardstuck bronze that wouldn't even bother hearing me out. He is also direct reason for my hardstuck gold mmr on my main, because I didn't know what mmr is when I started playing. I thought I will bring him out of bronze, which I eventually did (100 ranked games) but at the cost of my mmr going from +20 to +10. It took me 6 months of solo q to get my mmr to be +15 -15 but the grind was still pain. So, bought new acc two weeks ago and I'm on the road to Dia. Also, what I noticed about hardstuck plat players, they are basically the same brainless people as lower elos, but their mmr keeps them in plat when in reality they should be playing with gold or silver mmr players.

      i had one game as rakan where everyone was just going in when my abilities were on cooldown and then ignoring my engages, staying just out of my e range etc. and it was extremely frustrating because it was so hard to tell what was my fault and what wasn't. Like, I had an instance where I was CCing a low health enemy in front of my Ryyz, who then proceeded to ignore the CC and chase another enemy that he was never going to get, causing both of us to die. Samira kept playing super far back except when all of my abilities were on cooldown, and the entire game was miserable. No not really. You can win a lot of games by just endlessly pushing tower until I you have so much gold you carry every fight. Your enemy will have to decide whether to get you off the tower or go aram. Because it's low elo, they usually decide to go for the aram, and you get a million waves and platings. By the time they come get you you're so fed you can fight them in the side lane, or they have to send several people and your team easily wins the aram because they outnumber the enemy. I suck at league, this is the only way I know how to win and it works.

    This whole question and answer thing is a very neat way to think about the game. I like it a lot! Even though I play like a stupid bogus and am probably forever doomed to play in low elo, outside of the game I inherently know that League is a Game about position on a Chess board, where the units are weighted and everyone controls a single one. Am I allowed to stand on this field? Is the enemy allowed to stand on his? If they make advancements on another field, what can I get somewhere else in return?
    It's just so damn hard to execute on that for someone who has a pretty cruel case of ADHD. In game, I can't focus properly, flooded with pings, chats on top of what the enemy is doing, what items do I build, when do I spike, when does my enemies spike, if they do something weird to me, it startles my game plan and critical thinking a lot and I absolutely CRINGE at looking over my replays because in every instance I can always know 1000 things to do better.
    League is not a good game for (true) ADHD People. If it was it wouldn't have become popular back when it blew up.
    Battlerite was a perfect game for ADHD folks, I went top 30 at that games peak on the most competitive server and it's pretty much dead now (and I don't utter that term lightly like many others these days)

    The very most important part to climb is this: CHECK YOUR CHAMPION POOL.
    Not every champion is able to clutch 1v5 like bruisers and carry a team from behind.
    A 20/0 Zed won't win 1v5 vs a malphite and rammus with both 3 items. This is a simple fact.
    So pick champions to train with that can either sustain 1v5 fights by being simply broken and unfair (dash + shield/lifesteal + short cooldowns/low mana cost), or at the very least learn a variety of champions, so that you can pick a matchup that you can play proactively. If you play champions that rely on following your team rather than leading the team and making plays (squishy immobile midlaners with low range for example), you will have a very hard time climbing, because you're playing reactively and not proactively. By playing reactively, you cannot snowball because you cannot lead. You don't have to play assassins, but at least pick a champion that is able to proactively make some plays and snowball. A 7/0 Annie will do damage, but she's still a squishy with no outplay potential and very low range. You can carry like this, but only if your team is decent, not in a 1v5 way.
    Way too many games are lost in the draft pick, so be smart about your champion pool.

    Gotta think about one thing: people in low elo are not expecting you to be a full on challenger smurf and carrying the game all by yourself. With that in mind, now think about another low elo player going top lane and pushing the wave and taking plates. Can be good for that one player, but in most players minds everyone else in this game is a possible troll just because of the way the game developed.

    1:10 why do you say it's bad that gp takes the krugs? You take the plating and topside jungle is empty, so going for krugs after plating is not worth. Also dragon is spawning, so you need to base right after plating. The team is already roaming botside and kills talon, so you can take the dragon. And even if you wouldn't want to go for dragon, herald with gankplank would be better option than krugs imo. I think the team is doing very well in this example.

    Okay, but what GP should've done? I'm genuinely curious, because I don't know the answer. I mean, you pushed two waves, so if he comes top, he basically gets nothing, and have to wait another 30 seconds for wave to arrive, and also have to only lasthit, since he want the wave on his side of the lane, or Darius just run him down, and while he waiting for wave to push, Darius, since he fed, can easily zone him away from getting cs. If we sum this up, GP will get opportunity to farm safely approximately in 2 to 2.5 minutes. I know you are super high elo and all, but you promoting this type of behavior to people who will do this in gold games, being a gold players themselves, basically fucking up top lane.
    Also, in this situation I would've taken crugs too, because there is nothing else to do on the map.

    • @gaston213
      @gaston213 2 роки тому +6

      If top is the one losing, taking krugs is perfectly acceptable. as a jg he is making sure that your camps xp increases while you get fed. Gp also has a roam timer now where he can influence the map while darius has to push out the wave.

    • @shogunarki1139
      @shogunarki1139 2 роки тому +6

      Taking the Krugs is actually OK and what he should do after that is to get to mid and collect the waves because Lux just came bot the same time he was farming the Krugs.
      Then GP should wait for Diana to reset and go and help Diana with the Rift Herald or Dragon depending on the situation
      To be honest I will be a little tilted too but there are things that must be done (and yeah Diana have her passive so let her hitting the turret will be more efficient)

    • @tezstlez3225
      @tezstlez3225 2 роки тому +8

      GP should recognize he is already weak and if the match keeps following this pace, him and Darius laning, they are just gonna slowly lose the game
      He also should recognize that Diana, as a Jungler, can make that gold very efficient just by roaming around the map, a fed Jungler does a lot more and way earlier in the game than a strong toplaner could, especially in low elo
      Basically, GP has to understand there are games you cant win by yourself, learn how to be carried without being a trolling dead weight
      Sure, he has to wait 2 minutes to lane again, so what? He is already behind anyway, he is not responsible for carrying this game anymore, his only role in the game right now is to stop feeding Darius

    Not this specifc guide. I've been pretty critical of skill capped though. But I just won my first game purely through macro.
    I play support in crappy ol bronze. Lately pantheon and senna exclusively but I play zyra and sona a lot and I'm also trying taric out once in a while when we lack a tank.
    I was panth, got a jinx adc. Our jg was karthus *facepalm* I have never seen a good karthus jg in bronze. Versus lucian and glasc with a nidalee jg.
    Our jinx immediately lost lane. She didn't even try to contest the wave. We were massively down cs when they hit level 2. Then nidalee was there to attack with spears.
    Karthus was no help, jinx couldn't hit the broadside of a barn and I can't fight three champs at once. Our mid was also losing lane YAY. Our only saving grace was Mord winning top.
    I had no items, we couldn't lane at all. I tried a few different things but the enemy kept ARAMing. Jinx would not catch a wave at bot at all.
    So I started catching the waves. To shorten it out I started buying MR gear to deal with nidalee and kept farming sidelanes. Eventually I R'd to top to push lane. Enemy didn't send anyone for quite a while. They had tahm and for the rest of the game he was who kept coming to stop me.
    I waited until the enemy team aram'd down mid and I R'd to a group of minions in a sidelane, killed them, pushed as far as I could before resistance and then gtfo.
    That was it. Push push push. Mord did the heavy lifting in teamfights and kept them from destroying us.
    At one point we were down more than 15 kills. By the end of the game, I was able 17 and almost full gear. I got flamed of course. Oh well. Kept my winstreak going.
    I would not have done any of that if not for skill capped.
    ps - blah blah I am not saying I'm any good..

    I recently had a game as Twitch, + Morg support vs Vayne Ashe. The 2 supports were kinda sleepy, both me and vayne had Cleanse. That game was painfull, they pushed all the time (we were redside, but no response from our Voli) and i couldn't keep up with their dmg on waves, trading was almost impossible, I just farmed under tower when i had the room to do it (got the same farm as vayne), everything went really bad when morgana decided to turbo int. The rest of my team kinda inted so i didn't expect any crazy gank or teamfight. The whole game looked like a 2v1, no gank from both junglers, nothing from my support, nothing special from them, they were just chilling there and poking me every time i got in range. My question is, what the F am i supposed to do? Just run in and spam ping morgana to follow? Farm and pray? Leave botlane open and gank mid or something? I felt like depushing was a key factor, when i play Jinx I just trim the waves to not get stuck under tower, but with twitch I use way to much mana to get the same result. Idk, help me. XD

      This is only a question you can answer yourself :) Look at your game and look at your champion and think about what strengths you have and play to them. Twitch is great for making picks, so did you miss any opportunities to do this? Is cleanse really the best summoner spell for a champ that wants to catch and 1v1 people? Maybe exhaust would have been a much better option or even just heal. Was there any counterplay to getting pushed in and being able to contest the waves? Twitch's waveclear is not terrible with W but you are getting out ranged by ashe. Are you walking up at the wrong points or making your intentions too obvious? What if you pressed Q in their face walking at them, pinging forward with morgana etc, do you think that would have made them panic and step back from the wave giving you an opportunity to push? If you are not constantly walking out of vision and pressuring with Q on twitch then you are doing something wrong for sure. None or all of those might be relevant and there are many more things you might want to think about, but at least there's a few examples! Low elo games are weird and the best call won't be something you've watched in a challenger gameplay vid, just look at the whole picture and think about the best thing you can do in a given situation that will improve your chances of winning the game. Try to always think proactively over time you'll get better at it!

    I dont ever want to have to carry games to win them. I just want to be part of two more or less equal teams where i tip the scales a little bit. If i have to permanently 1v9 to be able to rise, then this game is just wrong.
    My kata goes like 15/4 in about 2/3 of my games, im ACE or MVP in about 60% of them, but i just get one or two lanes that ultra int often enough, so that i cant even escape silver this split.

    I don't play lol. Other moba predecessor. But I started to think macro after a year of playing almost 900hours. I'm seeing my teammates and enemy doing so many stupid mistakes. I'm glad I'm in the macro mindset now since I have enough micro knowledge.

    i have this so often in silver , that my team flames me for nothing. they take a dumb fight at the enemies blue buff while we are behind 10 kills and i push lane and get a turret and im the one being flamed for "NoT BeInG wItH tHe TeAm"

    Deleted that trash game this weekend not coming back anymore. The low elo killed the mood and I don't have the nerves to keep carrying the trash teams up

    one of the biggest mistakes I see is people never checking bushes for Pink Wards. They just click on lane and dont check the bush they are currently runnign through and missing the ward
