You're definitely know your business.. thanks for your informative professional video.. a lot of people make videos with poor lighting or they never shut up.. everything that you informed us of was vital to do the job without damaging the door... At 71 years old I need help I can get thanks so much... Chris Peters 👍
Thank you for doing your best at showing how to ACTUALLY undue the cables, it's all i needed to know and the videos from the different dealerships wouldn't do that
previous owner broke off all of the nuts and dimpled the body. I guess so I don't have to do it.This is one of the best instructional videos I've seen,ty
I didn’t see you remove any bolts from the top part of the door hinge. Did I miss something or is it just from the bottom? It’s been rainy and messy here in SE Michigan lately so I didn’t take them off yet
Hah... I was wondering what those dimples were just behind the hood on both sides. Learn something new every day! (Yes, this is my first Wrangler). Thanks for the very clear and to the point video!
@@Summitauto the front doors windows are manual, the rear are power windows, but the car has the 4 buttons in the middle of the dashboard for power windows, I do not know if the basic model comes like this
Sounds like someone put the wrong doors on your wrangler in the front. Thats why you have different connectors and the front windows should be power if you have 4 switches.
I have a 2014 wrangler sport. It doesn't have the t50 torx. There is a threaded bolt up in there and it needs a deep socket. I cannot even fit the right deep socket in the hole because the diameter is too big for the hole 🤷. I have yet to see a video that has a bolt, just the torx
I think the previous owner of mine changed the torque screws w something else. My t50 doesn't go on it AT ALL. closest thing is a t60 but it doesn't grab the thread
@@Summitauto nah, he removed it from the bag.. found taking out the screws on the front of the door (not the side pins from this vid) w a t50 did it. Wear solid footwear folks! was testing out the torq set at autozone before i left: wasn't expecting it to suddenly drop and was wearing sandals.. straight on the big toe nail. The other 3 doors I wore my steel toes. Lesson learned.
They could be rusted? Maybe try some WD40 and wipe off any excess so it doesnt damage the paint. Grab the bottom of the door and while opening and closing the door gently lift/rock the door to try and relase the corrosion. Do not lift too hard. You do not want to break/damage your hinges.
American Modified Offroad $70.00 just bolts to the upper hinge, about a 10 minute install the first time, as you assemble the thing, next time, about 2 minutes per side.
Sounds like you might have some corrosion. Maybe try spraying some WD-40 in the hinges and kind of "rocking" the doors. Grab the end of the door furthest away from the vehicle and lift up and then push down to see if you can free it up.

Thanks for sharing - can’t wait to remove my doors tomorrow and drive in the dream cruise
Let me know how it went!

The bolts are on the bottom of the hinges.
lol. That’s what I thought…. thank you

I would say those dimples are on 50% of the used jk wranglers that come in. Our dent guys hate them!
Number one tip…fold mirrors and don’t dent your hood cowl when the straps are removed.
Truth
Question, is there a way to attach mirrors to the body after taking the doors off? Or you just don't have side mirrors?
Yeah they make ones that avtually go into the door hinges
@@Summitauto oh okay thanks for the response. So those would be after market mirrors?
@@TheRealOne24 correct. Just type doors off mirrors jk wrangler into google.
@@Summitauto will do, thanks!!
My Jeep JK harness that comes from the door only have 2 pins, and the one inside the car has about 8pins, I bought it like this, any ideas?
Do you have power windows and locks?

Does this work for a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport SUV 4D?
Yes!
Do you need to take out the fuse for interior dome lights on a 2010 Jeep Wrangler? Or will it recognize once the doors are off
It should recognize one the plug is unplugged or maybe you can turn the dome lights off?
the dome lights usually stay on even when pressing them to turn off
Try unplugging one of the doors to test
the dome light switch is on the headlight lever, I just turned that off!
That works
Pro (rookie) tip regarding the windows. 😂😂😂

Sounds like someone put it in aftermarket. May have to buy a special socket and then get a set of the original bolts
Did you ever figure this out? I have a 2013 with the same thing? No t50, appears a bolt is in there but nothing fits. I’m stumped
Me too. Would love advice here.
I think the previous owner of mine changed the torque screws w something else. My t50 doesn't go on it AT ALL. closest thing is a t60 but it doesn't grab the thread
Maybe check the glovebox/centerconsole/storage are for an adapter?

I have the same 2015 but mines won’t release I’m scared to pull any harder feels as if ima f something up
I would spray the hinges with wd40 and let sit for a couple hours. Try again this time rocking very slowly back and forth
Any reason my does won't come off? Nuts are off, but the hinges won't separate

Is there a torque spec for the bolts when putting the doors back on??
No
There is a lock holding the quick release on the 2008.
Does this work for jk sport 2 door?
Yes
Holy sgit man the echo.
Yeah I got good Microphones now so I will have to redo this video
What about the side-view mirrors?
You can get mirrors that fit into the door hinges for these jk wranglers.
American Modified Offroad $70.00 just bolts to the upper hinge, about a 10 minute install the first time, as you assemble the thing, next time, about 2 minutes per side.
Did all that doors still won't come off

Hit it with your purse 👜
lol jk use a block of wood and a floor jack under the door and slowly lift it
