I'm very impressed with how thoroughly you explain things without unreasonably deviating from the video's goal. Definitely subscribed, and since I run adblock I'll happily join your Patronage as well.
Thank you! Your tutorial are so cool and well explained I did an effect similar to this following your tutorial and I had no difficulties even tho I wasn't really familiar with particles
Love the effect! Really interested in seeing the slash effect from affect effects. Please include how you import it into unity and add it to this effect. Keep up the great work!
Really neat. I have been thinking of making an effect to a light where you carry a lantern and wherever the light touches small same light colored butterflies comes out of the surroundings
It really depends on the platform, how many effects there will be acting at the same time, the quantity of 3d objects allowed per effect and the polygons allowed per object. Other then that, the particles and textures aren't extremely heavy, as long as it isn't something ludicrous! But yes that's a good tutorial to do in a not so far future. Thank you!
Actually, you could reduce the number of particle systems if you just spawned them in the right way. The spikes could be spawned depending on distance and time. Remove colliders from particles. And so on..
Nice cause I focus on making great games of big scale. I also focus much much more on atmosphere and aesthetic with color and lighting over graphics. And your videos are perfect with the amazing use of colors ever purple which is one of my favorite colors that nobody use right. I hate how people keep making 2d tutorials and talk about mobile games. To me mobile games are the twilight and bad side of fandoms of gaming. They are simpler than browser games, childish in style, smaller than Pluto to Jupiter in scale of anything, no originality and just cash grabs with less effort than single person Unity works 12 years ago.

Thank you Andrei! Yeah I only noticed I was misspelling and writing "debris" incorrectly after the tutorial was upload. -.- Anyway thanks for the feedback!
My friend, first of all I would like to thank you for the videos, it has helped me a lot, and I wish all the world for you with your work, because I greatly admire the quality of it, now I would like to ask you, can you tell me if there are any how can I create an FX animation in the Unity engine, and after finishing it I take it to the Unreal engine to use it in my game that is being built inside it? And forgive me for English! XD
You should probably learn how to make them in Unreal :D I don't see a way of importing Unity effects to Unreal... Let me know if you find a way. Good luck!
Hey man! Nice tutorial howerver I have A problem... When I import the fbx and apply a particle material to It the mash doesn't show up but U can still see that is there, if you click on the particle... System. At 06:59 your spike has this "white shape" but my fbx is completely transparent do u know way this is the case? It feels like I'm missing some thing in the blender exporting settings? ot is it becuse yout models Is already textured?
Hi Brahim. You can use blender to that kind of modelation, with some cool plugin you can probably generate terrains easily. Or, you can use this asset, which is free in the asset store: www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/83490 Good luck!
You can do it with a simple: Instantiate (effectPrefab, pos, rot). The effectPrefab is a public GameObject that you can assign in the Inspector. The pos can be the position of a fire point of your character or something similar. And rot, rot is a Quaternion. And you need to turn off Looping in every particle system, otherwise it will keep looping after instantiated. After instantiating, you van destroy it with: Destroy (effectPrefab, effectPrefab.GetComponent().duration); Hope this helps =)

good tut, but how about performance? i like to see this question in your future tutorials!!!!
It really depends on the platform, how many effects there will be acting at the same time, the quantity of 3d objects allowed per effect and the polygons allowed per object.

I'm not even watching this to replicate it. I'm interested in making original particle effects.
Great!!

Don't forget to create the UVs of your 3d model.
Good luck!
nice vid
TY! :)
please make programable VFX, so i can control the cast time, length of skill, AOE etc for an RPG
can i use your models in my game
Yes you can, as long as you give me credit it's fine ;)
How can I create a terrain (island) with mountains? The tools that brings unity are very unprofessional, any recommendations?
Hi Brahim. You can use blender to that kind of modelation, with some cool plugin you can probably generate terrains easily. Or, you can use this asset, which is free in the asset store: www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/83490

Thanks you!! new suscriber!!
Gaea 👍
not bad
How to play this vfx with script?
You can do it with a simple: Instantiate (effectPrefab, pos, rot).
The effectPrefab is a public GameObject that you can assign in the Inspector.
The pos can be the position of a fire point of your character or something similar. And rot, rot is a Quaternion.
And you need to turn off Looping in every particle system, otherwise it will keep looping after instantiated.
After instantiating, you van destroy it with: Destroy (effectPrefab, effectPrefab.GetComponent().duration);
