Ricardo’s editing comments during all of this declutter series is killing me. I agree that the compact packaging Colourpop is using for the super shock highlighters isn’t great but I disagree about the cardboard. My Hades highlight, which came to me from CP partially dried out already, dried out further and crumbled all over my bedroom a few weeks ago. My floor is still a duochrome peach where I couldn’t scrub out the colour. The ones I have in the screw packaging bought at the same time are still going strong.
@LucisZ39 same thing happened with my cruella highlighter... the hades one is still creamy, but it's definitely starting to dry out. I have older SS highlighters in the OG packaging and they are still smooth and creamy 😕
my cruella one is starting to crumble but the dr facilier one is holding up, the packaging is in the same condition for both too. its a bummer, i really love the cruella shade

Same. Although I do enjoy the Prophecy, my favourite and most used is Moon Cruiser. If you are uncooked chicken and cool tone, this one looks spectacular! I wish they had a similar one in green. The best I could manage is a Nyx Prism shadow in Glass Slipper. Was surprised how flattering green highlighter is one my skin tone 💚
If you have the means, please dive in! I couldn’t praise these highlighters enough, they’re so good. I love coloured highlighters, and I’m constantly reach for my Kaleidos ones. The Moon Cruiser (I think that’s the name… in blue packaging) is the best blue highlighter, and The Prophecy is almost my daily highlighter. I think it’s money well spent.
I am in my 30s and forever obsessed with colored highlighters, idc if they aren't in style! I love the kaleidos formula and if you haven't tried it yet, the Lowlight palette from Unearthly Cosmetics is 100% worth every penny!!! It has two greens (well, one is kinda tealish) and YOU WILL BE VISIBLE FROM SPACE👽👽👽 Black Moon also has very subtly glowy colored highlighters if you aren't into a glittery formula.

Declutter series are something I love to watch to see the different quality of products. I am more than happy that you do not try to give it away to subscribers because of them being such a personal item it makes more logic to give to someone you know who knows you in life and not just meeting and loving you on YT. That Sigma palette looks GORGEOUS. Adding to my future buy list. This year I got my first highlight palette and I’ve been playing around with utilizing more of the darker-for-my-skin-tone-for-highlighting shades. Like you I’ve been loving more glowy blushes. Same with my bronzer. In this Seattle winter my face wants to shine like a light bulb.

Ricardo is hilarious and considering how many you started with you did well!! I tried to pan a highlight this year and that has promptly made me quit wanting any highlighter for quite a while. I have repressed it and hit pan again and it still has so much to go. I just stared at some of them you with with wonder but told myself that I didn't need any.

I love highlighters, after eye shadow palettes it's the thing I have the most of lol. I do love the cookie highlighter but I'm super pale so it looks great on me lol. The edits in this video made me laugh.

This is a downward spiral from there, so now I’ll go stare at a wall and rethink my entire life. But for real, I love seeing people’s opinion on products. I'm halfway through and you are just showing your Pixi highlighter/blush topper and it made me think of the Nabla Skin Glazes. In particular, Privilege. Worth it for anyone who can't get access to Pixi or prefers a nicer packaging 🤭
Not gonna lie, when you guys move to USA and your husband starts working I’m going to miss his edits, the struggle bus, the ambulance the other day… cracks me up! I feel the same way about packing, yes the important part is the formula/colour but packaging is part of the experience, right? Makeup for me is not about being done in 5 min or having all in one palette (I’ve seen people on Instagram with literal foundation and concealer, etc. in a magnetic palette and that’s heresy on my eyes) it’s about having fun, relax and spoil yourself, and bad packaging totally ruins the mood!

That ABH highlighter that looks white in the pan but blends gold gave me Nars Albatross flashbacks. I did not look good in Albatross. Also, when you mentioned that early days beaming highlighters reminded you of an eyeshadow (paraphrasing) you just killed the nostalgia gremlin that was pushing me towards re-purchasing some old favourites… nowadays I use things like the Danessa Myricks dew wet balms or the Nabla highlighters, no way would I still like what I liked back then. So thank you 😂😂😂

Yes! I think I have maybe 3 stand alone highlights. I like the ELF duos so I don't need separate highlighter but it's nice to see what you LOVE in case I "need" to get one🤷🤦😹😹😻

Since you and I have very different preferences when it comes to highlighters due to our skin tones, we only share two: Star Surfer and Sky Walker by Kaleidos. Love that formula! I own only one highlighter of each nuance that I enjoy (six in total) to keep the clutter minimal since I try to only have a bigger collection in the eyeshadow department. That "strategy" has been working surprisingly well for me.
I have thoughts…😉 1: You are seriously doing amazing with your declutters! I’m really impressed by how much you are trying to consider packing to make things easier to pack! 2: Ricardo’s editing style is absolutely hilarious! He can be so quiet in vlogs, but I knew there was a comedian hiding behind his stoic face b/c you are so darn funny 🤣! 3: I know you are short on time, but maybe you could get Ricardo or a friend to help you swatch the kept blushes & highlights to weed out repeats. I think you would be able to really find out what your absolute true favorites of each color are. Or maybe that could be a project after the move 🤷🏼♀️. You’ve been working on fewer, nicer things & you might learn more about you taste in subtle differences of shades vs keeping multiple "peachy-pinky-golds". Just a thought 🥰! (I fully support keeping the 'Star Treck' highlight as it’s been with you for a very long time)! 4: I hope you have had some luck getting ahold of places to live. I’m a little surprised that the university isn’t helping with that b/c they know the places that are close to campus & usually have a contact with apartments & realtor’s for their PhD students, professors & tenured researchers who are working there. And when I do, I have a pretty one from an unnamed Makeup Revolution highlighter palette (it was from a big set back from when they didn't name products that came in big kits) 😊

1: You are seriously doing amazing with your declutters! I’m really impressed by how much you are trying to consider packing to make things easier to pack!
2: Ricardo’s editing style is absolutely hilarious! He can be so quiet in vlogs, but I knew there was a comedian hiding behind his stoic face b/c you are so darn funny 🤣!
3: I know you are short on time, but maybe you could get Ricardo or a friend to help you swatch the kept blushes & highlights to weed out repeats. I think you would be able to really find out what your absolute true favorites of each color are. Or maybe that could be a project after the move 🤷🏼♀️. You’ve been working on fewer, nicer things & you might learn more about you taste in subtle differences of shades vs keeping multiple "peachy-pinky-golds". Just a thought 🥰! (I fully support keeping the 'Star Treck' highlight as it’s been with you for a very long time)!
4: I hope you have had some luck getting ahold of places to live. I’m a little surprised that the university isn’t helping with that b/c they know the places that are close to campus & usually have a contact with apartments & realtor’s for their PhD students, professors & tenured researchers who are working there. My university had an entire set of condo’s built specifically for fellows who were there on Visas! I think you will love Austin & you’ll find there aren’t as many differences as some people make it out to be. It’s absolutely the most diverse & laid back city in TX!

I'm about to do a small declutter myself and the only highlighter I'm getting rid of is Wet n Wild Blossom Glow, cause its rarely I use a pink highlighter. And when I do, I have a pretty one from an unnamed Makeup Revolution highlighter palette (it was from a big set back from when they didn't name products that came in big kits) 😊
Oh the NYX one she loves is the finishing powder, I love that one too. These are the highlighters, similar packaging but different products :)
I have one single eyeshadow from that MAC Star Trek collection..i never use it ... I don't even like it ...but it's Star Trek.. so it moved with me to a couple of counties!! So i completely understand you 😅 also that highlighter is gorgeous!
I use the own your light highlighter on top of blush because it's too dark for highlight on my skin but it's so pretty I don't wanna get rid of it lol
Yes do a look with makeup your keeping but never used or barely!
