the rowan list you missed that with a rowan reduction of 4 life lost reiterate goes infinite with anything that can go mana positive off it in the deck. like big score, inspired tinkering, jeska's will to draw the deck or ritual spells for infinite mana. it's a super cool combo. there's about 8+ infinite combos with reiterate in that persons list!
I'm in New Zealand and I've never met a 'casual' commander player. Everybody combos to win. Most decks aren't quite true cedh decks, but cutthroat highpower to the max decks are all I see.
Claim the Firstborn is a pretty interesting card in Rowan, since you can cast it targeting her and using her ability again. That makes me wonder if Kiki-Jiki + Zealous Conscripts/Coercive Recruiter have a place in those decks, since you can use them for untapping Rowan as well as comboing with Kiki.
Ey, local tourney! Well, across the ditch anyway. Cool stuff! Fwiw I use Tunnel Grinder in Tymna Dargo because we can discount Dargo with it, weld it in etc. If you can flip it it is good, but you're really on a grindy game if you're going with that as a plan. It's definitely nowhere near as gross as Altar of the Wretched in the build, and you can't use it to finish the game after Altar of Dementia loops by drawing your opponents out, but it's decent enough.
I was the Sisay for this event, had to last minute change my proxied duals for my non proxy shocks due to needing wotc official art for them. The angels grace was in there for a way to win without Sisay if needed, by making infinite mana in any number of ways and pumping it into faerie mastermind.
I think Orrery in general is a bit less popular right now as some of the pilots don't deem it necessary. Cultist is really nice as an early way to pump up Sisay to jump your searches to those mid level mana values, I don't think it necessary needs orrery to make it worth running. Both seem like viable cards that sometimes show up but aren't in all lists.
I know a few people that participated in this event. It’s a shame none of friends made top 16. If I didn’t have to work I could have brought my Magda Land Destruction deck which would have been fun.
Yuriko should be banned, every time i see her in top 5 i'm only ever surprised someone brought her to a tournament. For context of how i feel about Yuriko, imagine your playing POKEMON, and your doing a PvP battle. Your team is stuff like Charizard, Swampert, maybe your running Groudon. And your opponent, Yuriko, is playing all legendaries. It's always that situation of "If you win, you deserve all the congrats. if you lose, it was expected."
plan A is usually infinite mill through Geier Reach Sanitarium + untappers like Ley Weaver + Ashaya in play, and prevent milling yourself with Endurance ETBs stacked between Geier's activations. some opt (or need) to recur Infectious Bite with Eternal Witness + Temur Sabretooth or Kogla@@soulsniperlol1558
sorry! i thought i had answered. usually looping Geier Reach Sanitarium to mill everyone. the loop is usually thanks to Ashaya + untapper like Ley Weaver. we stack Endurance's ETB effect between Geier reach's ability to avoid milling ourselves. Inkmoth has an amazingly comprehensive primer on Moxfield@@soulsniperlol1558
This list in particular has a few instant speed wins. You can get infinite mana loop and then just pivot into a)milling all opponents while never decking yourself out, b) kill everyone with infect on infectious bite recursion with eternal witness blinks
Which of these decks were your favorite? What do you think of the international metagames? Let me know down below!

I get a lot of that here as well at least at my local store. My casual decks always get beat up, which is fine since I prefer cEDH anyways.
Their players don’t require excuses the way players in the US do
Australia and completely the opposite for me tbh, but I suppose it depends which store
King of cards in Auckland? It used to be super casual friendly but I haven't been there in a while
Sounds actually fun not just people complaining that the game is over turn 6….
Whats cool about the yuriko highlighted, the pilot is the primer writer and that is the database list!
You should break down that Treasure Series XI tournament 👀👀

There is another cedh tournament next weekend in Brisbane Australia would love to see you cover it if possible
Tournament is called “The Clayfield Mox Colosseum” small tournament

Talion is lit! You should try it... Fun, skill-intensive, not broken commander; with a lot of space to brew around.
the tazri and Jeskai (Jeskai-Ishai) lists were the ones that spoke to me
Wooo Yeva hype!
feels good to be immortalised in content
It'll always be here!
Do they tap their lands the opposite direction down there?
god I hope not
Big fan of that Tazri list. Was actually looking at him recently albeit for more casual minded play gunna take a little influence from it
So wait
Paradox engine, banned for ubiquity and making turns take forever, prevalent at casual tables. Yes?
But TOR is ok?
Australia, of course, loves to explore the wild
May I ask why the Sisay player is on cultist but not on orey

There’s a 90% chance that the ring saga was meant to be the one ring 😅
I gotta believe in the world where it isn't, though cause that's way cooler.

You'll have to get them in the next one!
Yuriko list is spicy.
Yes a ROWAN DECK IN TOP 4
You love to see it!
My real name is rowan and I have a storm list but unfortunately my cedh tourney filled up and I didn't place in for it 😭
@@TheRealRonShady1911 you'll get em next time 🔥
The one ring to rule them all sounds like the guy want to put the one ring but it automatically put the saga instead of the artifact into the list
He better have played it anyways or I'm calling a judge right now!
❤❤❤
They missed the opportunity to call it "The cEDH Upside Down" or Upside Down cEDH
The One Ring to Rule them All is probably just a misinput--the deck doesnt have a one ring
Heartwood Storyteller in a Bowmaster heavy meta is really amazing.
Can you talk abt the cards that were meta but were since changed or outclassed or forgotten ?

Would love to see jhoira or niv mizzet parun covered
I love cedh horse head
Heck Yea ! Thank you for covering our Tourney 😍
Was happy to do it!
Yeva Mentioned 🎉🎉🎉

@@RodrigoMaldonadoRodMal52 what’s the mill aspect? It’s nice deck though.
